I encourage you to look at his record and I think you will be surprised at the sort of pragmatic and civil leadership he provided in Arkansas. He might even end up liking him.

More people were working hard than ever, paying low taxes, and making 50% more per capita from the beginning to the end of Huckabee being Governor. All with a vast Democrat majority in both legislative houses.

Harder work and a better educational philosophy. They spend far less money than we do per student but get better results. Maybe we just have too much and don't see the need to better ourselves. I am not sure.

I wasn't like that in my education and continue to learn and research to this day although many people just want things simple.

Too much as in wealth although I don't think that is a primary cause. I would lean more towards educational bureaucracy and philosophy as the main reasons why US children don't perform well in school. I talk to some smart students I know in CA and they often are limited by poor quality in some of their teachers.

Huckabee did a great job when he was in power for ten years. Also, I think it is wrong to think that we are on a better track than the last eight years. The GOP was not very conservative during the last eight years, but they were better than the massive dept we are going to get coming up!
