  • i really like this piece, played it for my grade 8. post the 9/8 part if u can. and focus more on just letting the notes flow, it's marked ad libitum so make it your own. sounds great, enjoy!

  • She's breathing, deathsattack. Your retarded

  • I speak french but I speak you in english so you play the oboe very well felicitation

  • is the oboe a giant clarinet?

  • Nah, a clarinet is a shitty version of oboe.

  • Google it dumbass

  • man spot the noob :P

oboe is higher pitched than the clarinet and has a double reed.

  • Clarinets are lame versions of oboes.

  • no the oboe smaller

  • a giant clarinet??????????? please for the sake of all oboists, google oboe. it is NOT a giant clarinet. in fact it's slightly smaller than a clarinet.

sorry, it's just something that really annoys me when people ask. :)

  • no oboe is smaller. lol.

clarinet is wayy better though!! lol. Well it all depends on which you like best. I prefer the clarinet because i've played it for so long. it's awesome!!! =]

  • i like clarinet better cause the fingerings are easier and u have a better range...

  • Good sound, the video/sound was synced very well

  • hehe...

  • wow u sound great. hey, i have the same animal forest jungle comfoter blanket thing you do. ha

  • try the piece of rimski korsakov ( fly of the burdon ) that's a real challenge , not as this song . . .

  • I'm concerned because the reed could be so advanced for the age level that it could actually hinder progress. The amount of support you need for such a rich reed almost needs to be worked upto. But it sounds just fine! Where's the rest of the piece!? haha

  • Don't you always need to use a good amount of support, bad or good reed? Also, the tone is rich not only because of the reed! How can a good reed hinder progress?

  • good job....be careful when you exhale...i know...bein an oboe player sucks...we're one of the only ones that has to do that but...ya...every one else has been buggin you about that so i think you get it.

  • can you send me the partition please?

  • I think you wil play much better when you stand...And you have to tell a story, do not play just the notes but make music:)

  • :o I wish I could play oboe.... I play flute >_> Doesn't it hurt your head when you hold longtones, though? Though your tone is very nice and wonderful vibrato :D

  • I have the exact same problem with vocalizing my leftover air! Though, I've only been playing for about one and a half years.

Love this piece, though, and your tone is just so drop dead gorgeous! Great vibrato, too. I like your style because it's very consistent. It's not pretty sound, pretty sound, BLAT, pretty sound, pretty sound, EW. All around, awesome.

  • I can tell you're pushing with the air hard; just be careful of vocalizing when you exhale your leftover air. It's hard when you start getting tired I know, but sometimes it sounds like, "Pretty tone... pretty tone... UGH!... pretty tone pretty tone... UGH... etc." Good job though otherwise.

  • nice. lovely sound.

  • Hey what about the next part of the movemnt. the 9/8 part?

VERY nice. i played this piece for a schollarship competition.
