bunch of retards hating on this video..... obviously she's doing an advertisment for HP, and if you dummies dont already know HP doesn't make DSLRs. This video is geared towards soccer moms wanting to capture their kids.
quit yammering about gears and statuses. she's a mom, and she's a photographer. pro or not, its no big deal. photography nowadays is turning into a wild pool of pride, prejudices, and arrogance, not to mention gear-obsessiveness. no matter what gear one has, it doesn't matter. and yes, this is an advert for HP, so what? she did her job very well. i may be a canon user, but i respect her, and her efforts in presenting the video. everybody can be a professional photographer.
@N6600 i do agree. i have gotten good photos with my cell phone. but p&s cameras are more luck to be honest. when im trying to get good photos with them i have to shoot about 20 times until im satisfied. i don't have a good "professional" camera but at least i have the options of manual focus and stuff. with that i usually only need to shoot once to get the shot i want.
With all due respect, professional photographers DON'T use action mode.....they choose their setting manually. Point-n-shoot camera....are you serious?
have you seen the HP logo at the beginning and at the end and have you also seen, that she is using a HP camera...this is just a commercial...I'm sure, that she normaly uses a professional DSLR
hi, my mom gave me the sony alpha 200 Im starting to take photo for a local teen magazine. I really need some new cheap and good lenses for sport photography . Please help me get the correct lenses....
@graffsax Cheap and good don't go together. If you're shooting out doors, you might be able to get away with the cheapest zoom lens they have, the 55 - 200 f 4 - 5.6, which costs $200. If you're shooting in low light, you're gonna need a bigger aperture. The 70 - 200 f 2.8 is awesome, but it costs $1800.
whatever she says in the video actually make sense...I don't know what you ppl are talking about...
"no pro D-SLR or cute words used"...it is a shame to think that pro photos only come from D-SLR. Compact cameras can do a lot. Taking pics is just like painting. Why a simple brush and a few colors can create a great painting? I think the tips she mentioned in the videos are pretty inspiring for amature photographers. Even tho I am not a fan of HP cameras at all I still like these tips.
lol real sports photographers don't have words like cute and adorable in their vocabulary. And who frames their photos in a csequence like that? That's just ridiculous :D
she cant possibly be a photographer. the way she's holding the camera tells me that she's an actor casted for hp, as "shaglavin" posted. And why isnt she using a dslr? she probably havent used a camera before.
I'm photographer for 40 years and one thing is sure , she's a professional. If you don't see the difficulty of the work she do, you don't understand anything from photography.
LOL....I found that entertaining to say the MOST. Probably useful tips for the P&S soccer mom crowd. And she may want to research shutter lag because her use of the line and explanation are off base.

Too vague and basic..too undirected..who is your audience..and many point and shoots do not fire fast enough even with half pressed shutter button

The photographer takes the photo, not the camera. You can make very awesome shots with a point&shoot, or even with your iPhone camera.
