Actually its pretty much a skin, only changing the sound and looks of the weapon but strength and accuracy is the same... If it was a different weapon, its stats would differ from the original scar.

It is not a hack or anything, it is a skin for the Scar. Every player recieves the skin data from the game, but only certain players are capable of spawning with them.

I tried this out from a guy who dropped his and I don't really like it. Its cool and all but its just an assault rifle. The voss has the same accuracy as it. This may have more ammo but whats the point?

Not really a strange weapon, its just a other skin to the Scar 11, only available for those that pre-ordered the game. Once you used the key, its not possible to give it to some one else or remove it from the char, its saved on EA master server.

Naw it's a skin mod for the Scar II EU Assault rifle. If you pre ordered 2142 from Best Buy you got this as a free bonus. I have it. I like the look of it myself. :)

Many people actually prefer the SCAR11 over this Bofors thing, because the Bofors is bigger and thus takes up more screen than the SCAR

I had a long talk with the EA-support, but there seems to be no way of getting rid of this weapon (except of a new ea-acc+new bf2142), I also want the original version back!

It's really annoying that it takes so much place in the screen. And using higher res really doesn't help

Yeah. I never got the Bofors and I'm glad I didn't, but as far as I can see, it's just a failed attempt at rewarding the player for pre-ordering the game. A failed attempt gone really wrong.

Its the weapon of the Squad Leader, who has a different skin and different assualt kit weapon skin, its to make them easily identifiable to snipers and really keen front line troops. I should know I pre-ordered my BF2142 from Best-Buy and I only get that SCAR 11 Varient when im a squad leader.
