That is the worst performance I've ever seen! Not only that there is no passion and emotion in your dance but you also do it like little robots, like you had to memorise all the steps. You have to get out of your typical day life behaviour and just feel each other and feel the beat, the magic of the dance, the passion, the power of tango...
I've dance Rumba to this music (20 years experience and International Silver level) and I feel that their Tango Nuevo interpretation is very good (8 years dancing Tango - mostly Milongero). I wish I was young enough to dance like this again. I love dancing Tango to different music styles, just as I like different styles of dancing (I know over 30 different dancing styles, but mostly do AT now).

I like it. Their choregraphy is very surprising. It's a very sensitive point of view on music. It's sensual. It's more than just tango it's about what you feel and what you wanna do when music slide from you're head to your toes.
This is my first time seeing Tango Nuevo and I am a fan! Every art form needs room to evolve in order to be accessible the next generation and tango is no exception. This is hot and I can see young people really getting into tango again because of this type of introduction.
So many elitists in the tango community, it's really sad. This is obviously very choreographed, and it is, in a way, missing that typical rawness and intensity in Tango. But that doesn't make the performance bad or ugly. All of you "I'm from Argentina and only we do it right" people need to get over yourselves and learn to enjoy dance as expression, not just YOUR expression.
Of course this is Tango Nuevo! What makes you say otherwise? You may not like their interpretation of the song but that is it. The song itself is obviously not a tango song but that does not mean they cannot put tango steps to it.
As for MrOjosverde you say you are from Argentina but you do not mention knowing how to dance Tango. It takes more than country of birth to know the tango. If can dance tango. Say it. You are suspicious in your avoidance of that statement in your post.

Boleos lacked the natural curve of a relaxed hip: essentially, they felt forced to me. I'm not sure what they meant by "vurtuosi couple" , but if they are claiming to be virtuosos, well, No. And if that is just the name they go by.. well, it feels a bit like False advertising. They are not bad, but certainly not Pablo Inza and Eugenia Parilla

Siendo de Argentina, que el video se llame 'Tango nuevo' me causa escalofríos... no hay nada de tango... sólo el aspecto de los bailarines, me gusta mucho como bailan, hay algunos muy pocos pasos de tango pero no es tango lo que están bailando.. es una forma propia de bailar algo que no es tango.. todo bien con que bailen ya que lo hacen muy bien... pero la canción no tiene ABSOLUTAMENTE NADAAAAA QUE VER CON EL TANGO!! quizás si bailan la canción del final, puedan hablar de tango.

I agree, I like the idea, (I´ve actually used OneRepublic for performing as well!) but it really was not technically well done. And I do believe it was choreographed based on her movements. No offense meant, just an opinion.
I didn´t like this interpretation, but the idea is good. the gentleman wears a blouse hideous, definitively this type of music can to destroy the technique tango.
How can they call this performance a tango nuevo?? movements are tango inspiration of course but there is no fusion, no leader, no follower, not intention, no drama, no sweat in it: Go and experiment a real milonga!!!!!!! don't trust this faked stupid lie. They each play their lonely part; no soul inside. Is this supposed to be sensual? this is good learned synchronized gymnastic, nothing more.
Maybe you just don't like their interpretation of it. They are used to each other as dance partners so his lead doesn't need to be blatant. The lead is subtle, but clearly evident. I have danced and performed traditional and nuevo tango for many years. Their dance is good. If you think it is a lie then I doubt you have actually learned the basic tango principles which are the same across styles.
I also felt that the passion was missing here . . . for me, tango has to have feeling and energy. It is also difficult to project a "lead" within a structured performance - However, this is a very nice piece of choreo between two lovely dancers. Well done to the performers and the choreography team.
Very nice! Smooth clean. Moves flowed well with the music. Nice facial expressions. A bit too much repetition of certain moves. Personally I don't think you should ever do the same move more than 3 times in a row.
their lines and accents could be a little sharper to accentuate the music, but the couple has great chemistry! they really play with traditional timing and use the theatrical aspects of the dance. Brava, especially, to the gal! she has beautiful facial expression

Of course this is Tango Nuevo! What makes you say otherwise? You may not like their interpretation of the song but that is it. The song itself is obviously not a tango song but that does not mean they cannot put tango steps to it.

Siendo de Argentina, que el video se llame 'Tango nuevo' me causa escalofríos... no hay nada de tango... sólo el aspecto de los bailarines, me gusta mucho como bailan, hay algunos muy pocos pasos de tango pero no es tango lo que están bailando.. es una forma propia de bailar algo que no es tango.. todo bien con que bailen ya que lo hacen muy bien... pero la canción no tiene ABSOLUTAMENTE NADAAAAA QUE VER CON EL TANGO!! quizás si bailan la canción del final, puedan hablar de tango.
