Bars that take intelligence and thought is what requires skill in a battle. Making up stories is on some high school girly gossip. Why would people give that credit in a "rap" battle where people are supposed to show their talent of writing and complexity in their lyrics and structure etc. Hollohan showed this talent while Cortez didn't. I don't battle but because I can make up silly stories does that mean I could be a talented rap battler?

Real talk, Cortez is an excellent performer/battler. I agree with Norcal, the troy mclure, and other Simpsons lines were just fluff... no wow factor, imo should have been left out of a battle of this calibre. Coyyyyyteeez deffs isn't coming with a weak angle like that.. No relevance.
End of the day, Cortez had structure in what he was saying, and it was all relevant to Hollohan, regardless if what he said is true or not.

@moore31313 Check the Cortez vs Head ICE battle from a few years ago. Raekwon, KRS-One and Rakim judged against Cortez for pretty shitty reasons such as he was kind of biting ICE's style. However, many believe that it was because of all of the old joke bars that Cortez was throwing at ICE. I am a ICE dude, but Cortez beat him.
