this game is ok. they could do some improvements like they did on flight simulator... they could make a more real ecdis, include voyage planning and maybe a dynamic positioning console for offshore support vessels? would be awesome... as it is, it's not close to reality... it is possible to do a lot more with not so much effort.

2006 doesnt lagg on my computer. But 2008 does it laggs a little but its fast at loading.

Apart from slightly improved ship details ship damage bla bla ShipSim2006 looks and moves better than Shipsim 2008.

2008 lags on my i7 with 6 gb of ram and a hd4850 graphix card. the titanic model in shipsim2008 is about 850k poly and even with the adaptive LOD thingy it lags...the titanic in ship sim 2006 is a lil bit less detailed but not noticeable so the poly count on it is about the same. Increase the visibility to max all detail is displayed on the ship no matter the distance . no lag

Yeah, alot of speed, but look what happend to the real thing!!! The reason it sank is because it was going to fast, the rudder was to small so it couldnt turn in time.

ok people i need help every so often i have a problem playing the game im trying to drive the titanic but this is crazy its like every time i take it it trys to sink its self without hitting things its like leaning to one side right now and not moving but the engines are still going and sometimes its completely under but the top desk arnt and then it randomly rises out of the water into the sky and falls help me!!
