@RILEYJENSEN8 A semi for a saiga is better than full auto, with the added benefit that you do not need to report and register it with big-brother government. Full auto is not quite as useful with a 10 rounder because you use up your ammo in no time at all. :P

Also, I consider reliability first before anything else (in your case firepower). @NiShepherd556 Not even the same thing. The Saiga outclasses the AA-12 in all areas except for recoil reduction. You're paying less money for an all around better product with the Saiga 12.

Why do ppl think that the AA-12 is un-reliable? do some actuall research and you will see that it is just as reliable as an AK. The AK design is a simple,easy design, it uses big heavy parts that dont move very much,hmm the AA-12 is made of big heavy parts that dont move very much, it is made of stainless steel, and has smart munitions so in truth the AA-12 is the better gun.

@one80ds Gee, I was wondering were all the AA-12 mall ninjas were at! The AA-12 is a heavy, 15 pound, plastic, bulky, piece of crap. It's probably the least customizable and modular weapon I've ever seen. Don't forget the rail that you line the notch on the magazine with! The Saiga 12 is a battle proven design based on the legendary Ak-47. Bottom line, it puts the AA-12 to shame. Nuff said

@one80ds Sorry to inform you, but the rounds used in the AA-12, such as the Frag-12, can be used in almost any other shotgun out there. Also, I consider reliability first before anything else (in your case firepower). I don't care how much firepower a gun can lay down, or how accurate it is, but if it jams in the middle of a mag, you're screwed.

I told you it was designed with AK thinking, big heavy parts that are user friendly and easy to maintain.,the AA-12 isnt going to jam if you get a little sand in it. Really it's like some people cant meet in the middle,Russia makes some great weapons and the U.S makes some great weapons, they both shine in specific areas of development.

@one80ds As said before, the Saiga 12 is battle proven and based off probably the most reliable weapon ever created in the world, the Ak-47. In conclusion, I'd rather have a saiga 12. If you think the AA-12 is so UBER awesome and reliable, post a video of yourself shooting it.

I'm saying that the AA-12 hasn't been field tested yet. Therefore, the reliability of the gun remains unknown. Most likely, the Saiga 12 more reliable. And in addition to that, the Saiga 12 has a nearly endless sea of customization parts and modular conversions. The Saiga is a far better gun.

Where as the Saiga 12 is already miles better. Too bad it has that stupid "evil AK" stigma attached to it....

The AA-12 has no modularity whatsoever and is overrated by legions of MW2 and Future Weapons fanboys and mall ninjas, who can't even say they've held a gun, let alone shot one, yet prefer one weapon system over another. It really makes my think, "What the hell is our world comin' to?" lol! But seriously, its annoying as hell to go to gun videos with stupid MW2 related references in the comments section.

@WenchesOfRedemption Well, to be fair, the AA12 was designed about 20 years before the Saiga-12, but then again the basic design WAS, like you said, that of the AK-47 which, as the name suggests, was innovated in '47 so good point.

@WenchesOfRedemption Saiga is based on AK74. It entered production along with AK74 in 1974. "AK-47" is the name of the AK prototype made by Kalashnikov in 1947. It entered service in 1949 as "AK" (along with AKS, not "AKS-47"). It is VERY common mistake to call AK as "AK-47". In fact, original AK-47 differs from AK visually (it has different foregrip, magazine and (maybe, I don't remember) receiver). And AK was replaced with AKM in 1959. And some sources claim, that AKM is more common than AK

My comments above are about fact, that "original ak47" was produced in very small amounts, because it was a prototype. I really cannot understand, why english talking people call an AK as AK-47. Every normal russian speaking weapon liker knows how it is called.

Besides, Frag-12 and other moon ammo are a whole lot of theoretical bullshit at this point, and no one is buying them yet. As far as the Saiga being made of 'big, heavy parts', you do realize that the FACTORY Saiga 12 (not the extremely shortened version seen here) is lighter than the AA-12, right?

AA12 has more rounds and a larger variety of rounds. It at the very least matches the Saiga. And even these people who obviously are experienced with guns get throttled by the Saiga 12.

@samolet900 actually saiga12 has a 30 round drum available and is a cylinder choke like the aa12... meaning THEY FIRE THE SAME ROUNDS... and the grenades from future weapons.. can be fired out of any cylinder choke shotgun plus lets see you get an aa12?

i see absolutely no reason to buy a fully automatic shotgun i find it stupid you waste rounds you can't control it and there's already 12 projectiles flying through the air if you don't hit something you should turn around. i'm not agains the idea of a magazine fed shot gun i do see some benefits to that.
