ABC did that to shows like Veritas and Miracles, FOX well hords of shows like Space Above and Beyond, John Doe, Firefly etc. Yes there were some that needed to go, but there were many fantastic series that should have stayed on.

You must have missed the VERY short lived 'Keen Eddie' - check it out, there are some clips on youtube. Probably one of THE best shows ever on American TV. And yes, gone after one short season. Thank goodness for BBCA.
