  • Documentaries on philosophy have been modified to make them convenient for people to apply, but the philosophy is 100% authentic, not changed the slightest, however they use tricks to get people to apply philosophy, but I already applied it before I ever watched this video.

  • @Hoobifta This guy doesn't look like others "History channels" experts. He doesnt take a small rock from Egypt or Central America and say a lot of bullshits like they were aliens. Because I have read Epicurus in Greek, and even if the guy doesn't speak Greek, he is more close to Epicurus than any other Greek Philosophy teacher today.

  • This is a really really good clip. Surprisingly good. Although it didn't go too far into an analysis of Epicurus' moral philosophy, it expressed the philosophy succinctly and had an interesting discussion regarding advertising. I think it was really cool that the fellow in the video took Epicurus' philosophy and connected it in a meaningful way to modern life, allowing people who might have issues buried in complexities to see a more attainable and clear way to approach happiness (via Epicurus).

  • @BreathingTheDark Τhe guy did that the teachers in universities never do... brought the philosophy in real life. Not many talking not theory. 5 min of real life and we all are able to understand how stupid we are.

  • @tektamos

Agreed. Often professors focus on the ideas in and of themselves, which I do enjoy, however it is much more accessible and retains more interest for those not as interested in the subject. Usually the student must put in extra work to apply such ideas to their lives, which tends to require preexisting motivations and interests.

  • his name start with EPIC.

  • basic but good

  • agreed

  • more than a year after this video was uploaded only 671 people have watched this video. if this is not evidence of our societies decline I dont know what is.

  • @rumit99 well, it's not like philosophy was something that EVERYBODY at one time was interested in, it, like it is today, was only studied and discussed by a select few, the intellectuals of the society, while the common people concerned themselves with daily life and practical knowledge. So I believe you are mistaken claiming this is indicative of the decline of society.

  • @TheCamerontesterman your right, it is not for me to judge. I was a bit surprised thats all.
