See now I do not use shortcuts as the main process I use batch files and for the internet explorer one I did some diffrent versions.

1. Have it reboot the computer but you put a 240 delay on it and not put in a message.

2. Make a fork bomb of iexplore. So a program runs a loop opening internet explorer.

Instead of going into Safe Mode, simply click on the start menu and type in the search "shutdown -a", the shutdown will be aborted and you can then remove it from startup. Also, if you can't search, go to run and type in "shutdown -a" there instead. Btw, make sure you go to SAFE MODE, not Safe Mode With Command Prompt.

I am not taking the time to go through the comments to see if this was posted (and yes i saw the holding shift key thing): if you have time before the shutdown/restart go to start->run or windows key+R (on XP, not sure about vista/windows 7) and type shutdown -a it will abort the shutdown and you can delete it from start up without entering safe mode.

Because at most schools the minute you shut the computer down all drives (except the student's which isn't housed in the comp itself) are erased. Why boot in safe mode when you can just abort it using a simple command. Because you are using -t 10 the computer will shutdown 10 seconds after you press the shortcut, to stop this without starting in safe mode simple press Windows Key and R and type cmd. After the command prompt opens type shutdown -a, this will abort the shutdown without having to boot in safe mode. Also internet explorer is ftl.
