He was such a class act. We just don't have singers of his quality now I'm sorry to say. I agree with ya stanya on the computer generated crap. I don't like most of todays movies either because they depend too much on special effects and CGI's. I'm not saying CGI's or CGS's shouldn't be taken advantage of but I don't like it if that is the only thing the movie/song focuses on either. You're right it was just Frank and his voice plus a damn good orchestra as well.
I think this lyric is fantastically eloquent, illustrating observation that "when love goes bad, it stinks"! Language reminiscent of the time - delicious. Each to his own though.
I grew up on Frank Sinatra and other artist that sang in this fashion. Mr. Sinatra was known for singing great lyrics and if he did like the way a song presented itself he refused to sing it! great music and wonderful love songs!
"Now I'm sane but I would rather be punch drunk" and my favorite line "the conversation with the flying plates." I've come close, it was a conversation with my first wife with flying books :) We're still married to each other.
@swilsonsww Once again you do it? Really, you're making my day; All my laughs! And, big talk from someone that uses neither punctuation (< Correctly) or capitalization. I would be surprised if you knew the connotation of those words. I realize that those might be big words for you, but, oh well. And the complex issues of pop culture? Which ones would those be? Stupidity or Competition? Please, enlighten me.
@swilsonsww So, you do it again? Well, I'm the kind of loser that's not afraid to speak my mind and learn to appreciate different things other than this pop-culture-crap that's being shoved down our throats once again.
And, I love how, instead of replying to my message, you cower and just comment, hoping that I won't come back to check, that way you will look like the victor, when, in actuality, you'll look like the coward because now everyone realizes what you're doing.
@swilsonsww You know, I find it funny that this is the only come back that you really, honestly have. And, you said it to where they wouldn't be able to come back and comment.
Don't you feel smart?
Well, we're not idiots and we have grown up. Growing up in learning to be mature and to appreciate the old things, which, you, obviously, can not do. It's growing to love, or, at least, acknowledge our past, present, and futures and move on.
@swilsonsww don't gimme grow up shit please. There are good singers today, true dat, times are different, but hell 80% of widely known artists, are just shitty... Lady Gaga? She can't sing, she can only move her ass in strange manner... that's how you gain fame today: easy lyrics and lots of dirt/sex in videos/songs... so people can turn of their brains...
@Fafix666 Amen, exactly. We are growing up, but, they aren't. Growing up is learning to be mature and appreciate the old things. You're hit the right spot exactly.
The best time of music 30 - 80,90. Why? If u wanted sign u have had to be good, no computers and no other voice manipulations. His voice is his and not made by damn computer programs like lot of todays "singers".
not all singers today use computers to enhance their voices. But i must agree to an extent. Many singers do enhance the sound their band makes through a computer its actually really sad and disapointing... because the people who deserve to be in the spotlight are not while the fakes are raking in the cash
@stanyal Hey. I agree with this comment! Well. Except for the time period. Best time of music was 30s - 60s xD! 70s and 80s had their gems. But for the most part it wasn't very good, in my opinion. Sinatra tops them all as a god of music though!
@stanyal absolutely. His vibrato is FLAWLESS. The way he can sing ahead of the song is remarkable. Not to mention the song is a great tune that makes sense. Kinda. Ha!
Who the hell is the guy in the picture at 1:15? haha
@MichaelWire have u heard Fergie live on World Cup opening concert?? If u havent please check this out why i hate fake singers. youtube.com/watch?v=9J2iuBKXhms.
You have a picture of a Sinatra impersonator in your slideshow for this video. Very offensive

You said it. I couldn't have said it better myself.
Some of today's most popular artists/bands can't sing live. The studios and wherever else they record manipulates the voices and music.
Frank Sinatra is a singerwith no one or nothing to thank but himself and his muscians for making themselves a classic
