All classic aircraft! hahaha! B747-200 Dc-10! classic I wish I could get on them instead the Airbus ones... I got nothing against new aircraft... just saying... :D
ok so lets say i were to go to Miami over spring break(which i am if you all are wondering) and just happen to visit this training center, is there like some kind of thing where just regular people can come in a fligh one for a certain amount of time?
Hey, adiblasl, where is this training center? What airline is what i mean? My father is a pilot, i got to fly down and do the exact same thing you did, only because we ran into a very nice instructor, and two pilots who were willing to let my dad and I sit in on them. The place you showed in this seems exactly like my dads training center.
My cousin is a commercial airline pilot. I had been in the cockpit of planes quite a few times before 9/11, but since then i haven't been able to go in one. I set up my own little flight simulator at home for about $500 and it has pedals, a joystick, throttle and 3 monitors. It is quite fun actually. But this simulator makes mine look like a load of crap. Oh well.
@132435ish real flight simulators costs about 1/10 of the real aircraft cost.. if the b747 costs about 120 million then yes 12 million would be pretty reasonable..
has anyone here flown a real plane??? who cares about simulators?!?!?! yeah they ar ment for training but theres nothing better than the real thing...
Im 14 and i have been 3 times in a 737 and 747 simulaotr and flyed at microsoft flight simulator in 4 years, I begin to like planes when i was 10 months old "My first word fast "Fly" Im norwagian so fly is plane at norwegian.
Do they still use the 747-200 and DC-10 Simulators today to train pilots? Cos there aren't meany of those planes around anymore... Even the 737-200 Simulator in fact?
What was that? Amer. Airlines flight 587 that was BELOW Va and decided to fly into a 747's wake turbulence and the engines separated from the wing, AND the vertical (not horiz. sorry) separated along with the rudder from the tail section and ended up in the Jamacian Bay... No wonder why everyone believes in the saying "if its not boeing, im not going."
cool but to know more, i would rather step into a 747400 flight simulator before stepping on to the real aircraft. sometimes, you gotta learn to walk before you run...
Will people quit with the Boeing v Airbus crap once and for all! They're both great aircraft manufacturers they both make incredibly sophisticated and advanced aircraft. There's very minute differences in performance between the aircraft they produce which are mostly poured over by accountants and for those airlines who dont worry about money (such as Emirates) they tend to split 50/50 between Boeing and Airbus so what does that tell you? I'll be happy flying either.
dude ur so lucky i wish i could do tht, i would like never stop, and btw boing is the best, i would only fly a few airbuses, like a380 a330 a340, but in boing i would fly b732 b734 b738 b757 b767 b777 and no doubt the b787(the dreamliner)
your an idiot. airbus sucks. thats why they don't have a manufactured amount of pressure, and no crosswind limitations on it, and about 4 years ago a few pilots snapped the vertical stabilizer off...
You talking 'bout the A380? It hasn't been out for 4 years and no ones "snapped" the vertical stabilizer off, oh wait, didn't a pilot blow the vertical stabilizer off of a Boeing aircraft by being in turbulence and putting full rudder. Oh wait, it's Boeing, so that's impossible. If Airbus is so bad why do tens of thousands of people fly them daily? And why do air crews and companies still safely operate them?
hey great video! Just wondering whilst you were taking part in the actual flight were the cockpit windows screens? or did they stay black throughout the whole flight..

Awesome video Alfred. It really looked like a great experience. One of my wishes (yet to be granted, lol) is to fly in the the pilots cabin during a real flight.
Haha Al that was a cool video, i would of asked to fly every aircraft there, and then id get bored so id pretend to go in a dog fight. Seeing as we in the topic of flying if you have the latest Google earth it has a built in flight simulator, in Google earth click Ctrl+Alt+A or something like that, cool thing about that you can fly over your house, Google earth only has 2 aircraft but for free its still good.
OMG! I flew flight simulator in google earth..it was fun

rbnlenin 3 years ago 2
probably alot harder
its like having the crash settings to the max
or more
an it takes alot of strength to drive 747's because the wheel neeeds to have enough pressure pushed on it in order to move
so if ur in a dive in a 747 an u gotta pull up its going to be like impossible because of the pressure u need
fsx is fun tho its closest ull get i guess if ya put the realism settings to the max...

Thanks G
