  • deaf people are way more isolated from the world than blind people, just do the test: 1. close your eyes and have a meal with your family; 2. put in earplugs so that you hear nothing or next to nothing (not allowed to speak either) and have dinner with your family.

    You'll be surprised.

  • fuck this. im an arm amputee & im becomming a mopdel not for self esteem! im doing it because i love taking pictures, i love showing personality in my photos and i love showing the world what i have to offer. no one would ever understand that until they step in our shoes. we as amputees are proud and shouldn't be looked on as any differnt! i think this show is a cool idea but in some sense they should let us amputees be on the regular model show!

  • TYT is dead wrong on this one, I have friends who are disabled and they like to be looked at just like they was anyone else. Not looked over or ignored because people are not sure how to deal with their problems life has handed them, if disabled people have no issue with doing this why should we stand in their way of self fulfillment if you can not cope. That's your problem not theirs!

  • disgusting opinions. These girls are beautiful why shouldnt they be models? because our society is too ignorant to accept that people can be different?

  • i am really outragged at their commentary! and angry! these two people have no idea of other peoples feelings because like they look so perfect to the eyes of everyone but talking like that they no longer perfect to me they are a bunch of ignorant people.i hope they know that the modeling buisness has a market for disabled models because for yoyr nformation some people with disabilities need special clothing and this has a market.

  • Also it is to show people have a life after a disabilty and that the life of a person doesn't stop because they are sick or have a disability.I am disabled because of the lupus i suffer from but i am still a complete woman and i can show that to other women that are disabled and be an inspiration to them just like when i see another disabled model they are an inspiration to me.;)

  • i agree just because a person is disabled doesn't mean they are not beautiful.I also think that these two people telling this story misunderstand the concept of it all.The reason disabled models exist is so that everyone sees there are beautiful people even if they have a disability.I have a disability but i consider myself a beautiful woman.

  • I think those girls look great....

  • It sucks

  • Wow some really good comments and some lame ones, but I guess that is to be expected. I have been a para for 27 yrs and it has never stopped me from doing anything, no not even walking (with braces). I found that I accomplish more in my chair. I have worked hard to get where I need to be in life and no short cuts were given. Wish all ppl, walking and not, would do that :)

  • "Model's aren't attractive blah blah blah...paper thin blah blah...they have that weird look blah blah"

Yeah right, Turkman... if you had a chance you would pork a model to death.

  • @McFlanker Who would want to 'pork' a woman shaped like a 12 year-old boy? Gross.

  • These commentators are real assholes!

  • These two reporters are absolute FUCKWITS!!! Listen to yourselves.. Love to smack both of them in the face...

  • @M0nkeyNutz77 shut up faggot. your a jackass and you shouldn't try and think to hard, dip shit. go fight int he middle eat and die. by the way, fuck your family for encouraging your stupidity. Bad call mom, next time abort.

  • I think this show is an amazing idea- any one of us could get in a car accident tomorrow and lose a limb or our ability to walk. Does that mean that we can no longer be considered beautiful? NO! There is beauty in everyone and we really need to start acknowledging that.

  • @JermzzzyFTW Lets get real. Society doesn't consider 95% of the population beautiful because they're too old, their nose is too big, lips are too thin, they're too fat, etc...maybe certain people within society would think you're beautiful, but if one of those girls walked in a bar with a another chick who wasn't handicapped...guess which one is going to get hit on first?

  • " I am a Person" Just because I can't walk. Doesn't mean I can't talk. I can laugh, I can cry, I can do almost anything , If I try. Can't you see, That I'm a person like you? Why can’t you see that, Or is that your handicapped? By Suzie Flotte' We can do whatever the hell we want! You quote normal people can't handle real people! You have a worse handicapped.
  • So basically, what these people are saying is, people with disabilities should be kept in the shadows of funtionalism. Capitolist might be profiting (whats new!), however, so our the contestants on the show. Furthermore, at long last, these people have the same platform as everyone else, to demonstrate they are the same as everyone else...individuals! That bloke is an idiot....the self righteous bigit actually used the term handicapped!

  • @shellfishsandwich You're so right about him being an idiot. Oh I can't stand being referred to as handicapped. He's an able bodied idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about. Why is it that we're in the 21st century and still the attitude towards people with a disability is in the dark ages. Wake up people.

  • Better idea about Russian women gettop5.info

  • exploitation or not, TYT is implying that disabled people or amputees are automatically less attractive. As an amputee, I cannot help but be offended my the guy speaking. They talk like they know everything. He is not just insensitive but also shallow and condescending! In any case, the show CAN be a "Self esteem booster" for disabled people watching. The women in the videos are all beautiful!

  • wtf? there's a model, in a wheelchair, on the stage.... exploitation is the key to reality shows.

  • I think they are okay doing this. The girls now have a few more options, but what if they are disabled and homely as Hell?

  • I completely disagree with this video.

The show gives a platform for a CAREER (not just a self-esteem boost...) for girls who otherwise would have no chance in hell of getting in.

Also, it broadens peoples perspectives. It also provides role models. It shows that its okay to put amputees etc onfront of a camera and for it to still look sexy.

This video makes it sound like disabled people should be kept in the dark. Out of site out of mind. Thats just sick - wake up!

  • I completely agree with you imhollieWood Great comment

  • @ImHollieWood i agree, i thought the girl i nthe wheel chair was pretty hot, but understand that the producers are using the disables girls, for a cheap laugh, or ratings, their intentions arent to bring role models and careers, the deaf girl might get a modeling career but lets face it, vogue magazine isnt going to get a girl with an arm missing. its not happening, it sucks and its harsh, but thats reality.

  • Would a girl with a missing breast qualify for the show? I don't know if that's technically a disability. I have a missing testicle myself, and thought, well, it would be unfair for me to discriminate against a girl with a missing breast.

  • the fact that these women are being judged( under mainstream criteria) circumvents the "supposed" direction of the show. they are there to have their best features focused on, not to be told they aren't good enough. what a joke. a great show idea( on paper) that will be an "epic fail" through (ratings grabbing) implementation.

  • I wish my best friend was alive to see this.

She was in a wheelchair and she died in 2005 at the age of nineteen.

She was a beautiful girl and she would have been a great asset to the show.

People with disabilities have the same dreams and aspirations as the rest of you guys.

Don't discriminate. Don't patronize. Accept and love people for whom they are.

  • I say let 'em go, the models want to do it, people want to see it. How is it any different than the special Olympics?

  • this isnt new, this was on years ago.

The woman in the wheel chair just kept playing the sympathy vote against everyone else from beginning to end...

"well she cant hear, but im in a wheel chair'

"well shes lost her arm, but im in a wheel chair"

"theyre pretty, but im just an old bag in a wheel chair"

ok,she didnt say the last one, but she might aswell of...

  • personally I think if this show was done right I'd like it.but it seems a little unfair sticking in people in wheel chairs (unless both their legs are gone but not disabled)

I think we all need to be compassionate to people with missing limbs and even go to the extreme as saying you could be attracted to one.

I've seen several girls with missing limbs that are very beautiful.I don't have a fetish for it.I just have compassion and I'd date a girl with a missing limb or 2,or a dwarf (Midget).

  • Just shows how vain the world is.

  • Britains Mising Model...... I think they intended this meaning. The model Britain has missed out on.

  • ana should be a model

  • "IT JUST SOUNDS BAD!"

  • you do know it is a spoof show right?

  • It was real but this happened at least 1 years ago. None of the models have been seen since.

  • "I don't find models attractive"

Cenk is gained a number of points in the extreme bullshit department.

  • I dont find that many models attractive either.

I honestly like girls with some meat on them.

A lot of models look like aliens to me.

    I like normal looking girls.

  • a lotta guys don't find models attractive. i find them too tall, lanky, and plain.

petite bubbly girls are attractive, in my opinion.

  • Reminds me of Katawa Shoujo. I hope this becomes more common in the west...

  • wow, a little surprised my favorite show doesn't go for this.

these girls are awesome, and they want to prove it.

this is not exploitation, only if you look down on them.

  • lol FUCK'EM! Pathetic ANOREXIC pricks!

  • Aren't models mentally-disabled, by deffinition? ;)

  • This show is from what? Three years ago? Man, slow news day or what TYT?

  • yeah i just so happened to see catch it on BBC America the other night, guess they did too..lol

Afterwards I checked out the show and was surprised it quite old. Good show though

  • Anna should go on that show for her disability...being too good looking ;)

Ok yeah I know corny...but that popped into my head lol.

  • They did the show in summer last year. Hopefully they're not going to do another series..

  • Haha..uhh, interesting.

  • i was just thinkin the same thing

  • This is so OLD!

The UK have been doing this for a long time! BBC THREE..

  • They had a deaf woman on Survivor: Amazon and she did really well.

    Everyone is equal and special.

  • "Everyone is equal and special"

    Except Hitler.

    WRENCH IN THE WORKS

  • Those heretics at Stormfront don't agree. Whyd on'ts go tell em off? I do often.

  • I don't think it's such a big deal. Just because you are handicapped doesn't mean you don't have the same aspirations and such as 'normal" people. I think people are kind of turned off by it because this program shows disabled people in a different light that makes a lot of people uncomfortable--especially if they have never been exposed to it (a lot like Adam Lambert at the AMA's). :-) It's probably the closest some of them have felt like women in the first time in their lives.

  • 2:07 Curb your Enthusiasm!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Ya mean old reality show.... but new for Americans! The one who won it was hot minus most of an arm.

  • ..im not quite sure what to think of this...

  • life is a rollercoaster

  • in england it would be taken serious cause in england the jokes we say in america about people they do not think those jokes are funny....AT ALL

  • maybe next season the disabled models can compete to see who can lose the most weight...

  • Hmm a Deaf Competetor... I may have to watch this with my bro, Hes deaf and he would like to see someone represent the deaf community in some way...But judging by TYT opinion, it may not be a good show

  • I am all for pro-deaf and pro-hearing impaired. I sell hearing aids. But that girl who is deaf doesn't need to be in the competition. Being PHYSICALLY handicaped and being a model is a good idea. But having a hearing loss or being deaf is not PHYSICALLY handicaped. It's all about looks. Like TYT said, probably not going to be a good show.

  • I don't like this either. After working with handicapped people for most of my life, I don't think this kinda show will do any good for these women. Except that they make a few bucks.

However, a carnival freak show pays the same kinda money..

  • This isnt new and it was really good

  • Ana is looking pretty good here

  • look at anna.

trying to look all sexy and professional for me

    thanks anna

    5/5 boners for this vid.

  • Congrats! You tried really hard being a total douchebag on youtube and you succeeded!

  • Wasn't there a show in the works on this sort deal? Think it was announced last year.

  • OH HELL, Victoria Secret had its annual fashion show and its first time ever head bumping contest. They pick short "models" and let them believe they have a shot at being one of the VS girls. How's that ---whoa wait so did Tyra - she had short model under 5'6'' but taller than 5'4'' now thats disabled.

  • have u seen this show cenk? some of this girs are pretty hot! it's not such a bad idea!

  • you know the u.s. will be out with this next, except they'll up the ante somehow and it will be even more screwed up.

  • It was ages ago - but we here in America are getting a view of it on BBC America now.

  • This story doesn't have a leg to stand on.

  • nice...

  • But one can give them a hand if they need help.

  • To all the folks saying that this story is not new.

    Who gives a shit!

If you think it's not new, just move along to the next story that is not new and stop the bitching.

  • srsly.

I mean as if people bitching about the news is new!

  • cenk shouldent cut across ana all the time

  • I would always look at a woman's breasts instead of her missing arm. What kind of idiots does that model surround herself with? ;P

  • This was years ago. wtf TYT.

Also, "Missing top model" is to do with people who found they can't find work in modeling due to their disabilities.

    So yeah. TYT. Facts.

  • This was ages ago lol obviously TYT aren't up-to-date.

  • Yeah it's not new at all it's 2 years old or more.

  • That show is old. A youtuber had the whole series posted until she got suspended. There were 2 deaf girls and an American model who traumatic brain injuries from a car crash. There was allso a girl who had a rare disorder that made her really tired and the other models picked on her because she wasn't disabled enough. It was actually a good show.

  • As a guy born with out a nose, I feel this reality show is a GREAT IDEA! I don't know how it is being advertised, but if the goal is to say that we can all be models, that we are all perfect nomatter our deformity, or "disability," then that is a very nobel goal that fights against our culture of beauty and perfection.

  • New? this is like a year old

  • HILF Handicap I would like to f...

  • this happened over a year ago.

  • Reality TV shows are the most Unreal situations on TV.

  • this isnt new it was on tv like 2 yrs ago

  • this show was on TV ages ago

  • Reality tv sucks horse cock.

  • you better get that copyrighted before they steal the idea! :-)

  • Hahaha...I'll send you some of the royalties.

  • This is stupid, and this is why. Because it's still making an "us and them" of them. The disabled girls should be on a beauty pageant (if they're into that), period, and not a "disabled person pageant".

  • yeah but they wouldnt even qualify. kind of like how disabled people cant make it into the regular olympics.

  • how 'bout a beauty contest for turkish, fred flintstone lookalikes? lol. this show sucks donkey balls.

  • You've always been an ass whose oddly obsessed with a show you claim you to hate, but this comment made me laugh.

  • i'm not obsessed. i don't think. i subscribed to this shit a while back, and instead of unsubscribing, i decided to try to wake up a few folks to the absurdity of the "tow party" system. oh, and i'm damn funny as well. ya boi

  • why does a woman have to judged on her looks in the first place? "now someone is looking at my breast and not my missing arm?" seriously. You are still being looked at like a piece of meat.

Look at my tits because I have nothing in my head

  • C'mon, humans are animals, everyone wants to be viewed as sexually desirable. When it happens all the time, its too much, but when you are disabled, you don't get that experience.

  • Good for those women! dis-Ability doesn't mean they aren't beautiful! They just are leveling the playing field

  • Hmmm, do I smell a contradiction??? If they are beautiful (which they are), then the playing field shouldn't have to be leveled. But if there's only one handicapped person in the industry, they will obviously get the pity vote. I say put all of these chicks in real beauty pageants.

  • There is a degree of exploitation but it isn't the worst reality show I've ever known.

It's interesting actually. Say you take someone like Miranda Kerr and cut one of her arms off. Would she still be mind-blowingly hot? I think so.

  • Cenk.

Can't find your video today on Obamas decision to send an additional 30,000 troops

to Afghanistan, in an attempt to win his war.

Did the news not make it as far as LA,

    or,

is it a subject you would prefer to ignore?

  • oh please just cuz you can't find it doesn't mean he's ignoring. chill

  • yawn

  • Then find the story elsewhere, you lazy ass troll.

  • Great advice. And,

I didn't have to look too far, as,

it was the lead story on every network, cable news, local news, every newspaper, blogs, water-fountain conversation, and all over You Tube, (with the exception of Cenk).

    I guess,

he just couldn't stomach the fact that his boy, (not a racial remark),

    is pro war.

    Chains you can believe in.

  • bobbytiger - prematurely posted, eh?

  • Katawa Shoujo just got real.

  • This show was on last year. It's shit.

  • this program was on like 2 years ago u yanks are lateeeee

  • Honestly, this looks like an excuse to hold a guilt-free freak show. Having disabled models makes about as much sense as deep sea astronomy or religious science. Don't get me wrong, I only wish the best for those girls and hope they live respected and happy lives. This issue is pretty iffy in terms of morality.

  • Care to be any more condescending - you think these disabled models are idiots, need someone to help them make informed decisions because they obviously some how fell into "a guilt free freak show".

Seriously, seeing the comments on here just goes to re-enforce why disability is such a problem in society - and it's not because of the disabled but the able bodied.

  • While I enjoy many of TYT's videos, this is one of those that I don't find tasteful at all.

While I'm not physically disabled myself, nor know anyone who is, the reason that this video offended me is because of how every single girl I've ever known, and myself, has had lowest of the low moments where we've felt like the ugliest people in the world when we're not. If people weren't this BRAINWASHED, many psychiatric problems wouldn't be an issue, including every eating "disorder" that we know of.

  • i feel you, and as i guy i know i can never know fully. But at the same time I have seen a lot of the 'brainwashing' your talking about done to women by women.

  • @thexdeadxone I think eating disorders are like dormant mental disorders showing themselves in other ways. I pretty much agree with you, it's a bit awkward. It also makes me a bit disgusted because handicapped people should realize this is as superficial as ever.

  • Exploiting them ? So you are saying disabled people should not be able to compete for modeling jobs like their able bodied peers.

Disabled people I guess are an embarrassment right ? Why the hell are you showing these disgusting abnormal people - we don't like it ! Where is my sexy size zero model, your making us feel uncomfortable with your god damned missing limbs.

Seriously people get real, disabled people wanting to show of their beauty is not a bad thing... maybe you are the problem ?

  • im disabled myself, and im not at all ashamed of my chair.

but disabled ppl dont need to be reality 'beauty' stars. there is a difference between 'not hiding' and modeling. 'perfect' looking ppl model, others dont.

fat ppl, short ppl, ugly ppl, disabled ppl, bald ppl etc, dont need to be models.

deaf contestant is exception, she could compete in 'normal' show.

  • you live in a small small world that sounds no fun at all. You should come out into reality.

  • Define "perfect"? Does any person aside from celebrities with tons of money to spend on operations and expensive makeup qualify? The people you listed should be put on TV for something other than a joke, along with everyone who has bad acne or scars, missing teeth, missing eyes or limbs; just any physical deformity you can think of. You should also have the right to feel beautiful with no shame. Maybe people could actually become less corrupt if they can be honest with themselves for once.

  • everyone can do whatever they like to for me. disabled ppl can do whatever they enjoy. here however we got a competition for being beautiful for ppl that 'must' be mutilated...

thats a scary reality show. modeling is a harsh job. beautiful girls do stupid things to look perfect, and that is not cool. having severed spine, no leg, or scar acros face is not making anyone look better. there is place for disabled fashion models, we do buy cloth like everyone, but this show isnt about that, is it...

  • @Gewyne; The issue isn't shame, it's practicality. Do you also think they should have retarded scientists or paraplegic soldiers? No. Do what you're designed for, that's all I'm saying. That's why people use guard dogs, not guard cats.

  • Disabled people wanting to show off their beauty isn't a bad thing. If a disabled person wants to be in Next Top Model they should sign up for it. However, if you make a show called "Missing Top Model" and single out disabled people then that does sound like it's exploiting them. I don't know if that's the case here because I haven't seen the show.

  • @olliegibbons

I don't see it so much as singling them out as I see it a method to encourage them to feel beautiful for once. I looked up more info on this show and some of the contestants seemed pleased with themselves, but I haven't seen it yet either (I would if I could find it streaming or something). With any reality show, no matter who's on it, there's gonna be a little drama; that's how those shows are. But I don't think an amputee would feel comfortable signing up for Next Top Model.

  • Goes to show u that fame-whores come in all shapes, sizes and conditions. However, that doesn't change the fact that these people r being EXPLOITED! Baloon Boy, DC Crashers, Disabled Models...what's next?

  • An area where I tend to agree with your nations conservatives: don't give trophies in sports for being handicapped but on the merit that they earned it alone, and you can see how that applies. And for heavens sake, you wouldn't let a blind man who wants to be a police man get the same kind of opportunities and ignore the fact that he's blind, so why on earth do you allow this shenanigans to happen here?

  • I always, say these people sign up to be judged, they know what they're getting into so I'm not gonna feel sorry for them. Disabled chicks can still be hot so I don't see how cenk says they're being judged for something they don't have, and wheelchair bound people can still be active and lose weight with cardio, just with their arms.

About the show itself though, I don't care, if people are dumb enough to sign up, have at it haus.

  • My title would be America's Top Cripple.

  • Reality TV is so fake.

  • Right on!

"The facade is not always the manifestation of what you glance upon..."

    Something I came up with

  • Meh.

    Reality TV is for idiots.

  • I always had the hots for disabled women. =)

  • This reminds me of the plus-size bachelor show. I felt bad for those women.

  • I'm physically disabled and I completely agree with Cenk. I don't understand why these girls, or any disabled person would ever want to be on a show which only focuses on physique. Shows which decide to have disabled contestants would be better by displaying the talents which disabled people really do have, rather than exploiting them on something which they don't have, which disabled people shouldn't be ashamed of, just be honest and admit it, and try for something which they really can do.

  • yah im sick of these mosquito bite boob models, what the fucks up with that

  • These women have to feel like they're in the "Special Olympics." I'm legally blind, and I see *ha ha* nothing wrong with a blind Miss America, but it's not the same as a chick with missing limbs. Even a chick with two eyes missing can outpunch a chick with two arms gone. And what guy doesn't dream of braille dot sensitive feminine fingertips reading the dots on his johnson?

  • weird look?

i dont think models look weird...

    im kinda hurt :(

  • Lets be real folks.

I think these reality shows needs to stop. It was fun from the beginning, but now it's getting so stupid, cheesy, and lame.

Disable ladies look good in my book like any kind of women.

  • Anna's hair looks great!!!! Lovin' it.

  • This is kind of effed up. Being disabled doesn't automatically make you unattractive. There are plenty of very attractive people who are deaf, blind or missing a limb. What, do you turn ugly or something if you lose a limb?

But I agree with Cenk that models in general are extremely overrated. Most models look very plain without makeup. They just have facial features that makes their face like a palette to paint on. Their bodies are hideously underweight.

  • I agree with Cenk that models are not attractive. They just tend to look skinny, etc,.

  • When I see Britians Missing Top Models, the 1st thing that comes to mind isnt missing limbs but missing shirts :)

  • idk cenk, same could be said for the special Olympics. exploitation etc, but its not that way. These people have fun too, and they have feelings. I have this preconceived notion that all models are cunts (my bad, Its how I was raised), but I would never deny any of them the opportunity to be cunts. fuck it, let em have their model show. Limbs or not, I don't give a fuck.

  • ana-L

  • i used to think ana was attractive, until her over the top feminism ways started to annoy me

  • omg she's nothing compared to some ppl srsly

  • Female with an opinion that opposes my own?!? I say, she sure does ruffle my feathers. Hush up, woman, before I unsheath my phallic rod and give you the honor of bearing my seed.

  • LOL!!!

  • Yeah, what's she even doing out of the kitchen in the first place? Those dern feminazis! Making women think it's okay for them to have the audacity to have a thought or are allowed to say things I don't agree with! Who do they think they are? Fetch me my dinner woman!!

(For the dense: I'm being sarcastic)

  • LULZ

  • ana you look very nice today

  • Oh the things you can do with handicapped women! Each one has their own special talent.

  • r u into amputee porn or something?

  • @coccioloneus: Dont. please dont. they dont like that at all. treat the like normal people.

  • Comment removed

  • This can only go horribly wrong.

  • Odd, at about 1:45 area, the wheelchair girl looks skinny and fit from that picture. Does it take having the judges view to see something I cant.

Thats some sick people nitpicking that girls body in that way.

If she had flab I could notice, it would be way different, but its horrible how these critics want boney girls as models or beauty queens, its just not healthy and a bad message for our girls who watch these things

  • Ana looks like a model here!

I love her sexy business woman look here and the hair screams cover girl.

All Imma say is: YUMMMM AY MAMI!!!!

    Good Job ANA!

    luv ultimolatino

  • Ana is definitely projecting hotness today.....

  • Comment removed

  • there's one contestant who's blind...i'm sorry there's one contestant who's deaf.

reminds me of that reporter said a person who climbed mt. everest was gay. and then said i'm sorry, he's blind.

  • oh yea, that Dating Sims game called Disability girl or Katawa Shoujo, thanx for pointing that out chenalos

  • this show is gettin stupid.

noone forced these women to do it, they choose to.

if someone cant get past the fact their disabled thats their problem nt the models.

who is he to say who should and shudnt model, what is and isnt beauty

    its bullshit

  • We were in the pub last night, there was a catwalk model show on the TV, and they looked like zombies... Some of us started saying BRAINS!!!!

  • What the hell is next? "Mail carriers: Life on the streets."

  • I understand a def girl modeling, but other than that it is a fetish, strait up. The only people who are going to follow this are going to jak-off to it.

it's like a show that only has people modal as a furrys... it's only going to work well with the people that have that fetish.

  • missing arm =/= furry.

ide date a girl with a missing arm if she was nice, and i dont have a fetish for it. furry is a deal breaker though.

this is just another crazy reality show and the people who watch it will watch it cuz its on. the show "big love" that had large women and men dating was popular and i know several people who watched it cuz it was on. not because the had a fetish for it.
