I love TYT, but I've been waiting for Diane Sawyer to report actual news for many, many years. I watch her from 6:30-7 most nights, and I wait and I wait. Doing a story about a 7 year old writing a letter to an NFL football player is preposterous of course, but that is how she rolls. No wonder ABC is owned by Disney, because this is a Mickey Mouse story.

I'm not even a 49ers fan, and I almost want to send the guy a letter of encouragement. People are so full of shit sending him death threats. It just isn't worth it. I could blame the refs for making the Lions lose to the Saints, but because there's also about 5 other things the Lions did wrong themselves, I won't. I'm sure that someone else in that game deserves blame for something.

He should donate his next years salary to the 49er fans in some way, I am sure he can afford it (or most of it). 1 Screw up?...ya you DEFINITELY cost the 9ers from beating the Giants during reg. time, but people make mistakes. 2 game loosing screw ups? Nahh son, you don't deserve to be paid. Actually, donate his salary to the 9er's defense for working so damn hard.

I got teary-eyed when I read the article. Amazing how a little kid can bring so much light through everyone's hearts from a small letter to Kyle. I hope Kyle gives Owen his gratitude. Regardless of the game, the 49ers made it this far in the playoffs. I'm proud of them making it. :-) And I'm proud of Owen's father for raising such a selfless and sweet son.

I do apologize for my fellow 49er fans, but you can't just say "death threats just because he fumbled?" without understanding the whole situation. Although I do believe that how the fans treated kyle williams was terrible, this is a team that has been through struggling for nine years now. I had never seen a playoff game as a 49er fan, neither have many from my generation, so you have to understand the frustration coming from the fans since we got so close, yet came up short. still terrible tho
