Sportscenter died for me after the '90s..they just changed too much. The anchors, the background, especially the music, it all went south after 1999..I used to watch it religously, even the 12AM through 5AM showings..

Well, the first one was written by county music composer Annie Roboff so I guess you are correct. But the old one rules for its simplicity.

The new one is just too intense and overdone and unfocused. Ultimately I find it bland.

Hmmmm. They're both good, but I think I prefer the older one as a more "song" song, while the newer one is more appropriate for the voice overs that they do. So when it comes down to it as a SONG, I would prefer the older one.

There was a typo in the video. It said it will start with the 80s one first. They meant the 90s one. The latter one is the new theme. The 80s saw TWO theme songs as well - the one before ESPN was bought out by ABC and the one after.

The 90s had the best theme song of all four, but today has the best graphics, and the music goes with it pretty well.
