I was in to British Hip Hop back in my teens in the 80's - Overlord X, MC Duke - "I'm riffin!", Rebel MC, Wee Pappa girl rappers, among many others (a lot became mainstream). In the 90's I loved the UK Mc'ing at raves and in clubs. I presume this new style of rhyme/rap was a little influenced by the MC'ers in the UK rave/dance clubs back in the day as well?
I left the UK 9 years ago to live in Canada and it's really difficult for me because if there's one thing I miss most about home is the incredible music and talent that we have. I was in to British Hip Hop back in my teens in the 80's - Overlord X, MC Duke - "I'm riffin!", Rebel MC, Wee Pappa girl rappers, among many others (a lot became mainstream). In the 90's I loved the UK Mc'ing at raves and in clubs. I presume this new style of rhyme/rap was a little influenced by the MC'ers in the UK rave/dance clubs back in the day as well?

I left the UK 9 years ago to live in Canada and it's really difficult for me because if there's one thing I miss most about home is the incredible music and talent that we have. Don't get to hear any of it over here!!! Britain has so many talented artists professional and amateur but here in Canada, I hear nothing from home :( Not even mainstream!
