Ummm I dont know about this weapons effectiveness at hunting, 10 yards is preaty close for deer hunting I would think. Isnt most deer hunting at 30 to 40 yards?
@KuanTii Keep in mind it is an improvised survival weapon. You would only want to have to use it in a worst case scenario. I didn't show it in the video, but it worked quite well at 18 yards, which is the maximum range I have in my city yard for shooting it. Just for a reference, the first deer I ever shot with a rifle was at 15 yards. I mention that I thought you could kill a deer with it, but more likely you will have better luck at getting meat from rabbits, squirrels and such.
Slow down there turbo, and take your CAPS lock off. You can get the whisker biscuit like I have in the vid for about 20 bucks at walmart or academy. Do some shopping around. Don't blow the 40 on the parts you don't need.
@Rednexas lol are walmart dose not sell and wepons anymore.. so i had to buy the 40 doller thing ! then last night(i live in teh city so i cant shoot the arrow)i was shooting bb's with it flipped down and the rock hit it and sent it flying in the woods !! i serched for about 1 hour and finnaly found it!!! the cbracket had a chip in it but superglued it so it will be ok.!.!
maybe a dumb question, maybe not, but why didn't you move your target after the first arrow went through the boat? I can't wait to get my slingbow together, i have all the parts just need to stop being so lazy. Keep it up.
Wow!!! I can't wait to get mine done. It looks like you could maybe shorten your bands another 1/2 to 1 inch more and get more power. I don't know that it would need more but if you wanted . LOL
Nice job dude! I'm amazed at the accuracy. I'm making one myself but I had trouble getting hold of the whisker biscuit in the UK. Getting one shipped over from the states today. Can't wait to try it out!
@Rednexas if theres a way for them to weigh the draw and its over a certain amount, then it might be legit. where im at you have to have at least a 40lb draw to take deer with it...? hmm................. i wanna check into that..
that question would best be asked of a DEC officer from your state. One key thing though would be the draw weight...here in NY, in order to hunt deer, your bow must be no less than #35 draw weight...

instead of just a hole for a cord, you could screw an eye hook in there & seal it off. Then tie the cord to that & it'd steal be water-proof

can you kill a rabbit with a 100g bunny buster using the slingbow with the black bands
DisturbedAndMore 2 years ago
how do you put the replacement band on
DisturbedAndMore 2 years ago
Roll the old band off, or simply cut it. Then work the new one on using water or glass cleaner to make it slide a bit easier.

glue a plastic loopto the end or on the body to tie a wrist and/or shoulder strap with ring to choke up to the wrist.
thanks

would the slingbow really be legal for deer hunting

I would say not in most States, but you could kill one if you really wanted to.
