(Not In Terms Of Fame Or LOOKS But In Terms Of Voice And Singing Style [They Have Some Nigga In Their Style That Many Other White Singers Try To Imitate But Can't].)

    Video is now 10x cooler.

  • simply the best

  • how high was he when he came up with this video

  • THERE'S A BUG ON MY SCREEN!!!

  • 720p!!!!!

  • feel physically sick to my stomach that jamiroquai never won a brit award , then a group of pre pubertal talentless miming rodents go and win one only one year after coming third on a karaoke circus tv show , just goes to show how awfull mainstream music is these days , stupid teenage girls voting for them makes them appear more succesfull than jamiro

  • @jamietherooster Brit Awards are decided by record labels and pr agents, aside from the readers vote awards it is ALL fixed. Lily Allen actually confronted them about it once and they did admit it. Notice how no decent 'real' bands/singers have ever been recognised there.

  • @jamietherooster im canadian and our awards happen the same way bud

  • f**k you pitbull i came here for some good music

  • @chabacou3000 if music like this existed today and people had a good taste in it,pitbull would be cleaning toilets at mcdoanld's..

  • I don't understand why people listens to Justin Bieber or Rihanna. Just crappy music full of electric sound. Jamiroquai make me feel armony.

  • Yeah, his furniture may move on command, but my living room chair reclines and has 4 massage settings, so muh ha ha ha

  • INTERVAL NEWSPAPER X RAY BOY

  • The funny thing is this song turned out to be absolutely right. There's so much useles crap being invented these days, and people eat it up like a bunch of brain dead zombies.

  • Like si viniste por fiori party :D

  • He was right. Our world is a virtual insanity.

  • Love this and space cowboy!!!

  • How did he not get dizzy?

  • wouldn't say this is a band wtf would anyone think this is a band a band is something like the beatles all i hear in his songs is just standar beats and just because his songs have a aguitar and drums doesn't mean it's a band this is more like rnb or something

  • @master18666 HIS songs? It's an acid jazz band that has evolved to pop-ish and other genres. He doesn't just make the song. Think and you will discover. Who do you think plays the instruments?

  • @master18666 lol... this is acid jazz/pop. It's a band but the singer has so much more of a swag he gets all the attention. People who think only rock is music should stop making a fool of themselfs.

  • @oliveirantunes i didn't say rock is the only music out there i'm saying this ain't rock i have mates who listen to rock and classify jamaroqui as rock just saying he ain't rock

  • my teacher showed me this in class... idk why but I LOVE THIS SONG! lol and their are people on the outside of the room moving the walls :p we learned about it haha

  • I WANT HIS HAT!!!

  • Jonathan Glazer is a badass music video/commercial director. This is probably my favourite of his, apart from maybe The Universal by Blur.

  • I loooove him and his music!!!

  • Hey guys i want to make a cd for my father and this kind of music is what he likes. I wonder how this kind of music is called and who are the best artists? Thnx in advance!

  • @gorothegreat12 I would say acid jazz.. Check Jamiroquai obviously, Incognito, The Brand New Heavies..

  • listen to so much music where sounds are more important that lyrics/words. but man jamiroquai has the best lyrics ever. jay kay best voice. track was so ahead of its time. love *thats what they said yesterday, theres nothing left to do but pray, i think its time to find a new religion

  • Bro when i was a kid this shit was trhe SHIT!!! But also i brought myself here.

  • i miss music this way SIGHS....dig JK dances LOL

  • Smart chroma key! I love this music vid.

  • I've been looking for this song for years... I remember seeing the video when I was younger and thought it was sooo cool... this song made me fall love with music created "before my time." (I was born in the early 90's) Back then I had to listen to the radio or wait for it to come on tv again... so I must thank youtube for bringing me back to the good ol' times...

  • @MrSNixon1 same , early 90's kid , all the great music got my hopes up for my nightclubbing experiances , only to be let down by the shambolic devil sounds they call music today

  • It's not the floor that moves, its the walls, I saw the explanation in the VH1 making offs. But I was really well made, it really looks like the floor it's moving!

  • i agree i liked this song when it first came out. im bakked and it hit like its the first time i herd it. big ups jamiroquai

  • Ok Go? No, it's Jamiroquai!

  • Today is made up of virtual insanity. Great prophecy. Great song.

  • love how he's casually wearing his hat and a fleece, standard

  • thumbs up if this is still the shit compared to the music in 2012

  • I just thought that the walls were made of something light and that someone on the other side were moving them around

on another hand I Love the song and his voice is amazing!

  • ''I'VE GOT TO MOVE LIKE JAMIROQUAI!''

  • When did Stevie Wonder turn white?

  • lol its a moving floor, not a hard concept...

  • @kinglynx How is it a moving floor?! Please explain

  • @MrBillyboyroge Simple. The floor moves, and he and the furniture move with it. When the furniture is up against the walls, it is attatched to hooks that hold it in place so it won't move with the floor.

  • @GalaxyGuy12 Its not that simple I'm afraid, Your close, but no cigar ;o)

Explain how a floor can move in multiple directions i.e side to side, back and forth, then in a diaganol direction all in one smooth motion with no CGI effects?!

  • @MrBillyboyroge That's simple: A floor is a flat surface. Other flat surfaces include chairs, tables, and other such. Try moving those in multiple directions.

Here's how these people did i heret: The walls of the set are not resting on the floor, but rather, are attatched to the roof or walls of the studio, and the floor is mostly an elaborate platform on wheels (Well, they would probably use some other machine to make the floor move smoothly). The walls are then suspended over the platform.

  • @GalaxyGuy12 Okaaay..... Again, it's not that simple. I will correct you now as I wanted to see how the hell a floor can move like that, if you new a way then you'd be very wealthy. The floor does not move an inch. It's impossible for a floor to move like that. You are close though. It's the walls and camera (which is the 4th wall) that move, not the floors. Hence why this is such a clever and confusing video. Have a look at the making of the video, directed by Malcom Glazer. Cheers.

  • @MrBillyboyroge I am willing to believe that, however I just explained how it IS possible for a floor to move like that, so I don't understand how you seem to find it impossible.

  • @GalaxyGuy12 Maybe I'm losing sight of things, so apologies. A floor could indeed do that but not quite how you explained it. It is quite funny that your 'willing' to accept my explaination though. If you haven't done so watch the vid I told you about. I see your a jazz man too, so then check out 'Jamiroquai - Tighten up' (live 1993) Pro shot. If you don't reply, been good having this debate ;o)

  • @MrBillyboyroge Dam it! 'Jonathan Glazer' Directed this...

  • @MrBillyboyroge I enjoyed this as well, and I bid you a hearty farewell 'till we meet again in some other comment section.

  • @kinglynx moving walls dude.

  • THE HAAAAAXXXX

  • this is so old lol..i remember when this came out i was so younger..Had no idea wtf he was talkn bout then..~I DO NOW lol

  • I didn't saw it for years.

  • They are the best <3 <3

  • i wish my floor did that when i had to clean my room...

  • @samdrum1 My floor does do that i.e it doesn't move

    ;o)

  • seriously WTF has happened to the quality of the music? this song wasnt even near my favorites but compare this to anything that was made in the recent years and the difference is huge.

  • The walls are all set on rollers and the furniture all can be magnetically locked to the walls, they move the set around Jay Kay and his dance routine, enjoy the mystery of this video being revealed.... :D

  • @GrimEcyhr That, or there's a green background and they just move the camera around while Jay dances.

  • @YuureiShinji No no no no no ;o) The only 'special effects' are the cockroaches, blood and flying black crow........ Once you know how the video was made you will realise just how simple it was.

Jonathan Glazer - The Making of Jamiroquai's Virtual Insanity

  • Came here from Itachi xD

  • Of couse he doesn't glide, that's ridiculous, he just concentrates the power of his funk and shifts the universe around himself

  • @ravingsteve123 Simple! lol

  • I WANT THAT FLOOR!! :D

  • and this is how shuffle has been born... :)

  • A lot of close calls there buddy.

  • There's no doubt they are the greatest band from the 90's. You can't do wrong growing up with Jamiroquai !

  • @msalami1 greatest band of all time mate , all time , just not as popular nowadays because mainstream music is made for school girls who want easy listening and six pack abs

  • @jamietherooster jamiroquai is great, but they are nowhere near the greatest band of all time. im a fan but they aren't even in that discussion.

  • @SincereDoper they are , better than the beatles, rolling stones all of them

  • @SincereDoper they are the best band live though... Every time they perform they change the melodies of the songs or change the rhythm section, their one of the tightest sets of muscians i have ever seen/heard, their jamming ability is unreal.

  • @jamietherooster Excuse me, I'm a school girl and I admit this is the first song of their's that I'm listening to but I love it! Fine, I don't mind six pack abs but not all school girls love mainstream music :P

  • @jamietherooster That has been the best coment of all Youtube ever!

  • @jamietherooster This isn't easy listening?

  • @jamietherooster My mum always played J.

I'm 19 and play his songs to my 2 kids, my son dances to his stuff lol

J's new stuff is still the same and great!

  • @jamietherooster so true

  • @jamietherooster i'm a school girl, but i still LOVE this!

  • du groove à l'état pur!!!

    jamiroquai for ever!

  • Still not enough views.

  • @mrpockets730 The good music is never enough known :((

  • This is real dance music!
