Am I the only one who can see that sparking at the front of the manifold? It would probably run better if all the plug wires and plugs were functioning.
Marvel Mystery Oil, big red bottle, for gas and oil. Put in in both. I've used it for years, continualy, It does more than it says. Once an engine "settles out", you only need put it in the gas.
floor it and levae it floored - wide open for 10-15 minutes- that will help!

I'd run some Amsoil detergent based engine flush through there.

The passages to the rocker assemblies get stopped up on these cars. Beware you may have little or no oil pressure once you clean them out!

Studes have solid lifters and shouldn't get stuck like hydraulic ones do.
I'm thinking more like a bad rocker arm or maybe even a bent pushrod.

you have a seriously stuck lifter, i would say. just went throught the same problem on my 56 packard Patrcian.
