@simplexalarms16 Go to ebay and enter the keywords: simplex fire; or simplex horn. They have them listed off and on from time to time. I got lucky and got many of mine cheap. Just gotta be in the right place at the right time. Good luck!
No it wouldn't skip if I had it connected to the batteries. The way I made the alarm pulse is by touching the battery terminal with the wire and removing it.
The 7002T skips whenever the strobe flashes no matter what it's coded to. Watch my video of my 7002T doing march time and code-3; listen for the skips when the strobe flashes.
I see what you're saying. My 9217 does that sometimes, but not as much as yours. I believe when the strobe flashes, it draws out a little more electricity than the horn causing insufficient voltage to reach the horn, causing it to skip. If I had more amps running to the device (like having it hooked to a panel), it wouldn't skip. But hey, it's amateur hour! :P
this simplex and the horn is the same exact thing that one of my Elementary Schools used while I was there between 2001-03. Kewl!

I could use an alarm like that for my first system test video. Do you think you can help me out with that? I'd really appreciate it.

I didn't get one. I sent you a friend request, however.

isn't there a way to have the horn and strobe wired together on this alarm like the wheelock 700X series?
cubsrule2040 3 years ago
I have no idea. I guess if that particular alarm is a 2 wire, or a 4 wire w/ jumper wires. That's my guess.

My 7002T skips, and I was wondering that if you had the horn and strobe wired together on your 9217, it would skip
