dude it was zip cuz when u mistakenly clicked something when u tried to click "get info" you clicked compress so u made it into a zip file lol... just fyi.... and thanks for the ringtone help btw

You have to erase the file in Itunes before you drag it back from desktop after changing de file extension.

it didnt work because you forgot to delete the 29 seconds version in your library, after you created it and draged it to your desktop you have to delete it on your itunes, then you drag it from your desktop to your itunes ringtones library and thats it :D

Is it because when you get to the step of putting the ringtone from the desktop into itunes as a ringtone you need to make sure your AAC version currently in itunes is deleted? As you cant add the same file twice!

Hey you have to make sure you click on start and stop on the .m4r file after you created the aac version and then drag it to your ringtones folder.

If it still doesn't show up in ringtones, try making a duplicate of the clip and drag the duplicate to ringtones, that was the only way it worked for me.
