@UserNamei5 lol true, but that's true of just about any big name watch company, even of Omega. Virtually all of the watches Zenith sells are in the el primero range or the elite range. Putting them under the price of most pateks, vacharons, breguets and IWCs (etc). But it's just semantics. I love zenith, at any price. That said, I'm really glad the el primero range is so affordable. Patek would charge 25k for that.
The Manufacture ZENIT H has decided to reveal this fount of energy, the heart of the movement, by making the dial open directly onto the balance, escape wheel, pallets and seconds wheel.
Here before you is the most famous movement in watchmaking history. It is currently the world’s most accurate series-produced movement. El Primero calibre beats 10 times in that same second, 36,000 vibrations per hour.
hey im a beginner in these things..im considering to buy a zenith chronomaster xxt open..very similar to yours in this video..my question is, why cant u call this a tourbillon? the mechanism looks similar (The seconds arrow that looks like a mercedes emblem)
A tourbillon is a very specific mechanism which, without getting too technical, puts the entire escapement in a rotating cage to help counteract the effects of gravity on the timekeeping. Most tourbillons are in fact displayed through the dial and the open dial of the Chronomaster shown is reminiscent of a tourbillon watch. However, the Chronomaster uses a standard escapement mechanism and is not a tourbillon.
I've got on for sale on Ebay now. Check it out under username Carvetop.

how fast is that movment?. looks like it runs faster then 28800.
hackerandcrackersinc 2 years ago
yes the movement is a high beat and runs at 36000, this means it ticks 10 times a second rather than 8.
xdonolix 2 years ago
@xdonolix , obviously. It`s a really pretty watch. I have a Polarouter, and ticks 5 times per second, just the half.
fideliocaracas 2 years ago
@xdonolix That high beat looks great! I can barely tell the second hand is ticking.

I've never worn Quartz watch in my life haha

@hackerandcrackersinc Other than Seiko's Spring Drive, El Primero movements have the finest second hand sweep in the entire wrist watch world.
