I will be going to New Orleans this year for the Essence Music Festival and Im now looking forward to learning more the history of this cultural city...Its a shame that this is the public housing system...but this is the exact history that is NOT taught to our youth in the public education system...and they wonder why kids are dropping out left and right...its a SET UP!!!!!!

Those old brick Projects are high-quality construction. Nagin's decision to tear them down was based solely on cronyism and corruption. He wanted his buddies to make some money building new projects. First of all, the government does not own the projects. Being that this is a democracy that is run off of tax dollars, the people own the projects. They are tearing these places down because they want to drive out the poor from the city Otherwise, they would give them a place to stay in New Orleans, until they tear down and rebuild whatever... I'm a tax payer and being that they will use tax dollars to tear down and then again to rebuild, the people are entitled to at lest voting on the dilemma.
