I'm fine with people taking drugs, but am not interested in it myself. Most 'safe' drugs seems to create psychological side-effects that I dislike. That, and most jobs require you to be clean, I've had alcohol despite a poor past with Alcoholics, many of my friend's smoke pot, eat shrooms, or drink themselves silly. Few of those do I respect their usage, most abide by no self-control and destroy all forms of true mental stimulation. This music is my drug. My 'pleasure' comes from knowledge.

But what about Shamans?You can't denie the fact that they have great knowledge of nature and medicinal plants, they claim they got that info directly from the plant spirits, that's open for debate, but they do heal people, emotionally and spiritually.
I do Yoga, Tai Chi and i meditate, but i still believe very strongly in the healing power of some hallucinogens.I know what you mean though, but it's all in the head, you create your own truth.

@DaZeDmerlin What shamans do is just guide someone to its own spiritual source, because the healing is actually within each one of us. Medicinal plants and hallucinogens are just tools that can ease the job. It's like removing many 'masks' people tend to have, so inner potential will come up directly from the soul.
That's how ayahuaska works in fact, thereby you'll feel so light and clean after taking it. As much 'layers' you have over your self, more painful will be the job.

@plasmatic96 So we agree on Ayahuasca and it's benefits, nice.They are tools absolutely, they can be used for insights in the psyche and to become a better person, it can be dangerous if you take the wrong paths, but that's how it goes in real life too.
I'm glad your'e at least not blind for the positive abilities of hallucinogens, or better entheogens.

@DaZeDmerlin Surely ayahuaska can help you to reach your inner soul, where everything becomes crystal clear. It will just open your eyes and show you the way. But then comes a time when you have to walk by yourself. You can get there with regular meditation, because you already been there.
I've seen a lot of people doing it without purpose. Instead of thinking in self-improvement, they use for recreational purpose, satisfying egos, but going more and more away from the soul.

I would still say that it's wise to avoid that stuff completley you dont know what you're getting for sure, and as a whole fungus is not that great of a substance either and one pill could kill you if not leave you with permanant damage wich is why i say just stick to the green

I rarely ever drink, and never smoke tobacco just as a starter note those are both poison as well, and I remember several years ago, when exstacy first came out there was constant news reports of people dying from bad pills or becoming dehydrated to the point of death, they eat at your brain matter and can cause stomach ulcers/cancer, I would say its certainly not worth the risk espcially since you can just smoke some green and be happy (and safe)...safe >> sorry.

maybe it's the "cleanness" of the product it's all about in the end. i've heard about xtc being mixed with rat poison and other "white powders". so maybe xtc alone isn't dangerous, but xtc with a hint of rat poison deffinitely is :P
you never know what you get.
LSD and mushrooms seem far safer.

well, I guess they should legalize Cannabis before they legalize XTC. xtc seem way stronger, and in the bad way. keep to the nonchemical drugs and you're good i guess. but then again i've only been high on pot, so i can't really say for certain :)

Moderation is the key, although some drugs you can't control and should stay clear (intravenous ones particularly, like opiates). Good accurate information is what should be thought. More research should be allowed on mind altering drugs.
