I grew up in with a..not so great father. And it was years before he even got help. Only because friends finally intervened. And then it felt like everyone knew what I was going through/went through. Initially I felt ashamed but then realized that I didn't do anything wrong. It's never okay to physically/verbally hurt someone & no one should be subjected to that. I hope this encourages people to look out for one another.

That is good news to hear that she left this man and not fall for the flowers and candy. I have a 18 teen yr old daughter and all I can think about is her being in a situation like this and my reaction. I know I would be up set and angry but I would love my daughter and support in any way through all of this but as for him God would have to hold me to keep me from going after him. ii dont know if you cant get this over there but if she can she should try and get this order tthat will stop him from communicating in any way. my sister got it against he ex and it worked he kept calling and reporting it and now hes going to prison :)
