Not everybody has a good place to kiteboard, with solid wind, so this is fun as an alternative. You can definitely go big on this thing. How much do you pay for your kiteboarding gear? It's all spendy, but worth it.
my hommie is the test rider/driver for wake kite so i can attest to the cost of it, $1500 might be expensive but its all brand new product development, they didnt just rig up a kiteboarding sail to a rope (anyone who thinks that they can make something similar without hurting themselves is retarded), its also a new sport so just wait till it starts progressing, its gonna be sick!
This looks to be alot of fun but who is HO Sports kidding?? These are on sale at Adrenaline Sports for $1,500. They list for $1,600. This is outragous!! Snow kites/Power kites $300-600. The package price for complete wake kit(kite,harness,line)$1,200. I hate being taken advantage of.
its a nice idea, but like u can see the power of the boat limitates u on the tricks. anyway i cannot imagine this kite cost 1500$ when a real kiteboarding one that is much more complex can cost around 800$.

if the kite had as much lift as a kite for kiteboarding, they would be going so much higher, and if they were turning the kite more they would get more lift. it looks like it would be fun but i think it still needs some work.
