@TheTomyossarian - It is just the arrangement that reminds to bluegrass I think. On the other hand bluegrass consists of the chord progressions and structures of european folk and dance music: I-IV-V-Progressions in Verse and Chorus or A-A-B-B structures. The big difference to me seems to be that bluegrass is alive while european folk has been drowned out by the crooners.
Wow!
No, I just tune it from normal to dadgad from there to drop d and from that to eadead or whatever I use and leave it the way it is tuned the last song I play.

Yet another reason to learn German, and to drop that lousy pick on the guitar. Excellent video sir.

Gut gelungen! Danke!

But it is German. I did the guitar arrangement in DADGAD so this might contribute to an altogether modal sound. That's it.

Do you keep one of your guitars tuned to DADGAD?

No, I just tune it from normal to dadgad from there to drop d and from that to eadead or whatever I use and leave it the way it is tuned the last song I play.

You should give the man on the left a guitar or a fiddle or something.

You are right. I told him so, but he refused to grab his mandolin. Seriously he told me he had to concentrate on his harmony voice.
