I agree, ADD/ADHD don't exist, there fictional diseases made up by man for profit.

Its a bunch of personality traits and unique emotions that can be combined into "symptoms" of a fictional disease.

I always get into this argument when someone says they have ADD or ADHD and says that amphetamines are there "medicine". No you don't have a disease, thats your personality, emotions, and genetic make-up.

Same goes for things like "depression" "GAD", "bipolar" etc.

Nope, some people have natural personality traits and behaviors that result in a obsessive and eccentric disposition.

I don't consider OCD a real mental illness. Just because you have a shitload of really weird rituals or routines that most people would consider obsessive doesn't necessarily mean there is a defect with your brain.

Dear Tellman, great answer..you're not a doctor and that person needs to make up their own mind. I have ADHD that went undiagnosed until I was 25! For years I thought I "was" "this" or "had" "that". I've had many doctors through the years since I knew each time when each one was wrong about me. Most thought I was bi-polar. I never even suspected I had ADHD, but my new doctor had a hunch and turned out to be right. The meds (Strattera & Dexedrine) I'm on work perfectly (for ME). followup>>>>>

I physically lack the natural levels of all those main goodies flowing perfectly fine & at "average" natural concentrations. To each his own I say. What some people dont understand is just because your child has to take a medication doesnt mean you failed as a parent. I think alot of parents dont accept the fact that their child needs medication because they think it will reflect on them as parents. adderall is pure amphetamine salts. most importantly it is 75% d-amphetamine (Dextroamphetamine or Dexedrine). It is absolutely not watered down in any way.

Dexedrine was the drug of choice for many beats, notably Howl by Allen Ginsberg was written under its influence.

Adderall kicks Methylphenidates ass.

Adderall lasts up to 6 hours, it's more hardcore. Methylphenidate last's for about 3 hours tops, plus a shit ass comedown. BTW Focalin is stronger then Ritalin, because it is the Dextro isomer, rather then the mix of Levo and Dextro. Basically Focalin is the more pure form.
