@outofthisworldgurl You don't have to buy it, just don't look down upon those who do believe as having no mind or brains to speak of. This faith that we hold so dear to does not just come from us having heard the word of God preached to us but in experiencing it as well. We also understand that we are not all powerful nor are we anything else but finite beings so we then in and of ourselves can not be God, who is infinite, nor create for ourselves any form of fulfilling reason to live.

You see, your previous comment is the peg in the wheel, when it comes to religion and dogma. These beliefs keeps us blind and overly attached to finite self. When this is being said he is talking about the judges that he has placed over Israel to rule over them as representatives of God. Does it not also say in Psalm 82:6 that we are sons of the most high. This is a reference to the authority that has been given them not in having Godhood or being infinite. The word does not contradict itself it can not nor does.

@Nbparrel The minute you say that someone is placed to 'rule' over anyone, you loose your case. This is why I don't agree nor subscribe to religions which were created by ego-driven, political powers of their time... These very same powers are still in place but through their respective blood-lines. The word as you say, DOES contradict itself too many ways to list here. One example, "the word" condones the murder of the so called unrighteous but will turn around and say 'thou shall not kill'.

It says thou shalt not murder. Yet there was a law that stated that if you committed murder the punishment would be death. So inherently this sets a difference between murder and killing though both result in the same outcome of death. Murder is the unjust killing of another, where as the killing that took place in the bible was to fulfill God's justice against those who attack his flock. God is a just God so He would be contradicting Himself if He didn't kill the unjust.

Yet he died a death he did not have to die because he was a citizen of Rome so that the Gospel of Christ would be spread. These "ego-driven" men you say died for this gospel not because of power and the want to rule but because they knew their need for forgiveness and Christ and were given life so that they could show the way to life, even with their dieing breaths.

As I said before the command was though shall not murder, it was not saying that though shall not kill. It is the justice in killing versus the unjust killings. If by murdered you mean that he had called for the shedding of blood then yes he has called for the shedding of blood through war in which he demonstrated his righteous wrath against those who had wronged his people. He claims that he is a Just God. How could he be Just if he did not punish those who had broken the law. Justice demands that they pay the penalty for their actions. The penalty was death and so he is Just in destroying them.

Psalm 104:5 says, "the LORD set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved." Ecclesiastes 1:5 states that "And the sun rises and sets and returns to its place" As well as the earth sits on pillars.
All which have been proven absolutely false.

As for the edge, the HORIZON,....as for corners...the word that is rendered "corners" (Isaiah 11:12) means, in the original language:
1) wing, extremity, edge, winged, border, corner, shirt
