  • how do u hold ur breath so long and i live in michigan do u think i could still go spear fishing. or not even with a gun and how does ur ears not hurt and can u spear fish suckers or only certain types

  • @pballer2014 We average around 1min 30 sec breath hold. I'm not familiar with any spearfishing in Michigan, but I was able to pull up some videos with a youtube search. You need to learn to equalize properly to prevent the pain and damage to your ear drum. You will have to check with your local fishing regulations on when/what type of fish you can spearfish.

  • you da best

  • Your vids are top notch. Trying to get my quality up there too, but don't do too much blue water cuz no one I know can take me on Oahu. Still stick to the reefs I guess.

  • divers all in hawaii all pro gee pono

  • sweet fuckin' video man! quite impressive!

  • I want to get a spear gun but im only goingto be diving like 15 ft or so for now does anyone know any good spear guns?

  • Aimrite

  • MOO TUCKIN FUCH nice trip glad dat grey guy neva stick around bet the inu was extra ono that night.

  • Awesome video, makes me want to go dive! I do some spearfishing and was thinking about getting a kayak, what ones were you guys using? and recommendations?

  • We have used a variety of kayaks and prefer the one man Scupper Pro model with the hatch in the front (perfect for the Da Kine triangle fish bag) and the tank well in the back (perfect for your dive gear bag). The scupper pro works well in the wind chop conditions off Maui and the deeper seat pocket supports your lower back. Hope I answered your question, and if you need any more help in kayak spearfishing let me know. Thanks for the comment.

  • Thanks man, i really appreciate it! will do!

  • First fish. gut shotted. ruins the flesh

  • brah tigers make me shit my pants...a big one by ironwoods in kapalua took my uncle's float full of uhu...damn we saw the whole thing..it was crazy...still, the ocean is the best place to be!! nice fish brah

  • lol... thanks for sharing that story... i'm sure it was an awesome experience!!

  • who sing this song and what is the song called?

  • Lackluster by Saliva

  • i really do like the cayman forgot to mention i got the carbon , just bought a new 17/64 aimrite shaft. stillhave to try it out.

right now im using one single rubber blue 5/8 all because the 9/16s move around alot in the omer muzzle. i like using thiss because faster reload but its just me. what you think two 9/16 or single 5/8?

  • fast loading can be a big benifit... the other day my friend shot three onos!! it was just one of those unbelievable days... as soon as he jumped off the kayak he was surrounded by a school of onos... fast loading was important!!

Some people might have a hard time loading 5/8, but since you can handle it and assuming it doesn't cause too much recoil, I recommend your 5/8 setup.

Thanks for the comment! Sorry about taking so long to reply.

  • hooo wow thats some big guns ah haha.

what do you guys use for the reef?

me i only use one omer cayman 100 pretty good,

  • We use the bigger guns for pelagics, they offer more range and harder punch. I prefer to use pipe guns whenever possible. Pipes are a lot lighter than your typical "Blue Water" wooden gun and when you have to paddle a kayak out to your dive spot weight matters.

When diving for reef fish where we have to be more maneuverable we typically use guns ranging from 90 to 110cm. My all-around gun is my 110cm OMER T20.

I've wanted to try the cayman since it has come out, how do you like it?

  • wasn't there a Game called Blue water Hunter?

  • what kind guns you guys using?

  • Fuji and Dave are both using Rob Allen pipe guns. Fuji's is 140 cm while Dave's is 150 cm.

  • 90ft free dive??? damn!! you got some lungs!!!

  • I've been blessed to dive with awesome freedivers like National Spearfishing Champs Kimi Werner and Lance Otsubo... Those guys can dive!!

  • watching this video is way better than hearing all Sean Okano's fishing tales.. aka The Real Hawaii Skin Diver!

  • LOL.. Thanks

  • LOL you were just mooned by a manta! Great video, what camera are you using to record this - awesome quality. Love the visit from the Tax man, inspecting the work place! Thanks for sharing!!

  • I tried to case down a ton of Mantas until this one did a backflip and swam upside down. I couldn't believe it!

I use a Sony HDR SR-8 HD Video camera in an Amphibico Housing... I've been filming with it for over a year and a half and love it!!

    Thanks for the comment

  • Very gutsy stuff here. Love the ray and shark footage - and what amazingly clear video footage. Hope you guys win an award for creatively capturing this thrilling sport.

  • Those are some long range shots, nice aim

  • I have a hard enough time being around white tips but a tiger, damn I would've shit myself.

  • Nice Tiger

  • Freak'n Awesome video guys!!! That Rocked. Great music too.

  • wow.... insane dive man 90ft I wish. why did you not just use your knife to kill the fish, after all you saw the shark came? I would just avoid that completely... the whole gill ripping thing the rest is perfectly fine! nice depths.
