  • i hope we can protect them from getting extinct.

  • Actually the best place to spot tigers right now seems to be Tadoba, I had spotted 10 different tigers there in April 2010. Had seen 6 (incl the mother & 4 cubs) in Pench in Feb 2010. While at Ranthambhore I just saw 1 tigress twice (T17) after 7 safaris.

  • Very good to know that this same tigress has had 3 more cubs (I am all for tiger conservation... saw 11 tigers in all this past May-June in, collectively, Bandhavgarh [6], Kanha [4], and Corbett [1])... sure hope that their numbers in India can be increased to at least 2,000 individuals and maintained at that level... your documentation is much appreciated... just great scenes and wish I could have been there to film those myself.

  • Just great video footage of tigers... I would think it unusual that four cubs from a single litter had survived to this size... but perhaps that happens often enough (I sure hope so)... thanks for posting.

  • @Juscz Yes all 4 survived. Actually the mother of these cubs is also one of a litter of 4 cubs and luckily all of them also survived till adulthood. If you have seen the BBC film ' Spy in the Jungle' it depicts the story of a mother and 4 cubs and one of the cubs is the mother which I spotted. I had spotted them in Feb 2010 and recently (20 Sept 2010) I had got a call from one of the naturalists in Pench that the mother has been spotted with a fresh litter of 3 cubs.
