I used to go to the ruins just to listen to the music ;) but sometimes that guy there with the flail would kill me...I learned the lesson and I never went past the first screen again
Yeah I know this is sad and pathetic, but Tarm Ruins theme was a get-away from reality check for me. It's like "f-ck everything else and just relax". LOL
@Weesnauh My friend and I were planning on making one, then I got flash and thought it mgith be a good idea if I made it myself with flash graphics rather than sprites.
It hasn't been touched since because I have no idea how to use Flash or actionscript.

@LinkEX For Nintendo and CapCom to finish off whatever content they had started with Mystical Seed of Courage (making all necessary changes to the story), and release it as a full 2d 8-bit style Wii-u game entitled "Oracle of Secretes," in like spirit with the The Game Cube's Four Swords Adventures as it relates to large numbers of moving objects sharing the screen at once, would be a wise decision indeed.
this was my first zelda game, i bought it in like 2nd grade. it was really hard for me to figure out how to get out of the first part....anyways, this game is my favorite zelda game. i think every zelda fans favorite one is their first because it triggers so many memories. kojis music is also composed so intricately. he knows which arpeggios and notes are going to hit your emotions and make you feel the exact way he wants you to feel.
@bobbyhillisabro i remember my sister LOST this game on me in 3rd grade when i was stuck in these ruins...and years later[lol 2 years ago] i have money to buy a game ive been saving up for then i see this game in the gbc case at gamestop and i just say"screw it gimme this one"
For me I let my friend borrow seasons and he lost it. I never saw it ever again plus seasons was my very first Zelda game, all I can do now is either wait until it comes to the eshop for the 3DS, download it to an emulator or actually find a game copy of it which is impossible now.
@profesor1917 Lol you're right. I remember I was stuck at this part for so long, back then I didn't understand the concept of which season order I needed to set the woods to.
I swear, once I was done with the game, I sometime went there and spent HOURS just to listen to this awesome music. Truly the best song of any 8-bit Zelda games
@OhHaiYT dang it every time somebody talks about still owning these, and also when I hear the music again, I get a tinge of doubt about selling them. My brother and I just literally sold them both in the past few months. :/ I wonder if I should have kept them. At one time I owned almost all of the Zelda games and they're such a huge part of my growing up...
You don't hear much about these two little diamonds, sadly enough. IMO either one of these games is better than phantom hourglass and spirit tracks combined. These games where very similar to the good Zelda games like ALTTP and Links Awakening...
i think shigeru could make some story outta *the tarm people*:like i dunno, somothing linked to the windwaker ...the people after the hero of winds* thats why the wind element was there or something and besides that music is too mysterious* i liked a lot...XD!!!! and i ve never gatter all the rings....-__-noble sword*master sword*iron shield*and mirror shield*but never the rings...
I remember this from my childhood. Seasons was my first Zelda game and probably my favorite, and this is by far my favorite music from this game. Listening to this feels like I'm actually in the game...
@LeleOtaku Neither of those games can even be considered "underrated" due to how heavily memed and unanimously hated the games are. In fact, its arguable that they're OVERrated based on the memes alone.
WOW, been a LONG time since I played this~!!! X3 I only had Oracle of Seasons, but my friend had Oracle of Ages -- I love the smexy dancin' Din the best, though~ ^_^
Did this song even play in Oracle of Ages? I know where it played in Oracle of Seasons, but I don't remember hearing it in Ages. Does anyone know if and where it played?
I can barely remember the Tarm Ruins. And it kills me. These games were fucking AMAZING. Also, @tenorsaxman3030, find a guide. I liked Ages WAY more than seasons, honestly.
I've gotta find my copy of OoA....and link's awakening, too.

I lost "it" not "them". I still have Oracle of Ages; I lost Seasons. I actually recall playing seasons with this music in that very area at the airport when I met a guy who let me borrow the game while I waited, so that's why I wanted Zelda in the 1st place.
I really want to find my Oracle of Seasons to play it again. T.T
I have to say that the Tarm Ruins were my second favorite place, first being Zora City and/or just plain underwater, and then third has to be Crescent Island xD
they should definitel use this song in a new zelda game. and yes a wii version would be amazing, but keeping the feel that the gameboy color version gives will be the hard part.
I would absolutely love it if they made a wii version/remake of these games, and keep the sort of darkness emphasized throughout the game. You'd be able to chose which game to play ages or seasons or something like that.
Other than that this song's really nostalgic for me (did i use that word right?) :)
@SMRPGFAN101 In zelda Twilight princess when you go to get the master sword from the "lost woods" there are strange wooden puppet things that come after you; and even if you kill them they respawn. familiar much?
@MegaMajorasmask One of the huge reasons I look forward to it. I would like to be able to just play the Gameboy Zeldas on my Wii though. Also my cartridges are dying and aren't holding saves. If Nintendo is thinking of allowing other platforms on the 3DS, then I don't see why not on the Wii. The controls would not be much different than the NES games. I don't have as much time nowadays either and would rather game on a console if that makes sense.
@SMRPGFAN101 I was stuck on that for four months.... -_- Imagine how long it would take people now if the made a 3D remake....o_o I was so close to beating them both, at the last dungeon in each. I always loose them when I'm on the last dungeon...>_< Just a week ago I found OoS, I beat it in 20 minutes and beat the s**t out of Onox 5+ times just to vent my frustration that I couldn't beat Ages and finish the darn series. At least I saved Din...=3 I think I'll sack my own house for OoA...
YEAYUH!!!! i was waiting for a sages/oracle song :] i have fond memories of this, i struck a deal with my sister and we both bought one then beat them. But we never knew about the secret crossing-over-to-the-other-game-through-a-password function and our jaws dropped :P
I used to 'borrow' my brother's Seasons cartridge at night when he was asleep, and listen to music for minutes maybe an hour! I had the Ages cartridge, but I was very young at the time we first had the games so I never made it as far as the Tarm Ruins/ Lost Wood.
I could just listen to it and it made feel relaxed like massage or bath could..
It always make me feel that I'm in some kind of old ruin or dense forest with some secretive mystical creatures and buildings around me.
Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Ages are severely underrated. It has a fresh and new start that both returns to the original Zelda roots while it explores new opportunities in 2-Dimensional gameplay. And of course, a beatiful soundtrack that uses the small Gameboy Colour for all it's worth.
The reason why I don't like Minish Cap and Phantom Hourglass is because I liked these two far more...
the seasons and time paradox system from both zeldas were far more sophisticated than the 2-world one from minish cap, which , since a link to the past , has been over-used.
Both Ages and Seasons share some music traks. Only Ages has deeper music than Seasons, but the puzzles are brutal. The Power Glove tile puzzle really ticked me off.
brings back SO MUCH MEMORIES!!!!

The reason why I don't like Minish Cap and Phantom Hourglass is because I liked these two far more...

you´re so right! the 2-d look however was already used in zelda 2.

the seasons and time paradox system from both zeldas were far more sophisticated than the 2-world one from minish cap, which , since a link to the past , has been over-used.

Never played these Zelda gamesStill has that RPG music sound, but I don't think I would have guessed it was Zelda. Very cool though.

Great games, though I liked Ages' soundtrack better

Both Ages and Seasons share some music traks. Only Ages has deeper music than Seasons, but the puzzles are brutal. The Power Glove tile puzzle really ticked me off.

i found it much more difficult to beat the gorons, especially in dancing, that´s the hardest part of a video game i´ve ever come too.

At least the Gorons aren't a-holes about you screwing up like the Subrosians.
