@SteveLiasis hi :) I used iStopMotion to put all the frames together (I think this was 12 fps) and imported into iMovie to add the sound and cut some of the sequences together. It's all traditional stop motion; the "york" was animated separately on an A4 page, I cut the letters out in photoshop and put them over the green background. When the page turns over York I also cut and pasted those frames together in photoshop. Newspaper waves: I stuck two pages together and stuck wire between them...
the birds I animated separately and also added on photoshop to each frame while changing the newspaper text, which I just had on another layer in a text box and changed for each frame. The footballers were the longest part I rotoscoped these first from a video of my dad and sister, then printed the outlines on newspaper mounted on card and animated by replacement using small bits of wire to stand them up on. 'The End' is backwards.
Some of the techniques I used were probably not the best/most efficient way of doing things but for me this was a lot of experimenting and making things up. Hope that is useful and makes sense! x
what program did you use to create this? and what were your main techniques?
