  • Stupid kid, all he had to do was show his fuckin ID then thier the police would leave and he wouldn't have gotten tasered. Fuckin idiot.

  • wormrot brought me here

  • @thrashermario You need to see a doctor, not be watching video's on YouTube :)

  • @FilmTrailersChannel dude their is a band that is called wormrot that use this as a song intro please get informed before judging

  • @thrashermario It was clearly a joke and no way to be taken seriously :)

  • I Know They Should've Known Better When They Tried To Kill This Idiot When Half The Mother Fucking Time When He Would Not Cooperate With Officers When They Asked Him To Leave The Building When He Refused To Provide His ID To

    The Officers.

  • they should've tasered this idiot until he cooked. what an entitled hipster cuntbag

  • Yes, Powell Library checks ID's after a certain hour at the front desk when you're entering, but there's no reason for CSO's to walk around and single individuals out under the false premise of 'doing their job.' If that's part of their job descript, then, hey, they should check every single individual one-by-one studying in the library. It comes across as harassment if you're just minding your own business studying, and some jr. officer boy tries to abuse his authority.

  • I know the facts. I spent 4 years on campus and unfortunately was one of the few silent victims who were singled out merely for not being white. No--UCLA is NOT a racist university, but make no mistake--there exists individuals, as well as groups of people who aren't very tolerate to racial diversification. Some of those jr pseudo-cops on campus throw their 'authority' around & try to run the campus like a mini police state. Do your research on the complaints filed against the ucla pd.

  • If your gonna fight the cops dont sound like a 13 year old girl when you do it. He sounded like FOGEL from superbad.

  • @Love2Scissor yeah lets see how you sound when you get electrocuted and intimidated, fuckwit.

  • hìhí_ãnYÔÑE_wånÑa_chAt_wïth_mE_í_fEél_sò_lÓnÉlý_tóÐÅy..

  • Mostafa Tabatabainejad and his lawyer win the case,UCLA, however, buckled... and settled for $220,000.00

    police lost

  • @supersaid23 lol, UCLA buckled. 220k, being tased might have been worth it. Lost some self resepct? sure. Gaining 220k, priceless.

  • dumb idiot... why didnt he just show his ID? He deserved it.... He probably was expelled from the school and is on welfare..... lose lose situation for everyone...

  • And it would be a Muslim person that they do this too. Not all Muslims are terrorists, and not all terrorists are Muslim! When are you all going to get that into your heads?!

  • There was fucking loads of security so why couldn't the pick him up?! Fucking tazering him that many times.

Far enough he didn't have ID but that does not give security the right to taser him that many times.

And they expect him to stand up after being tazered?!?!?! You get tazered once and you are in so much pain you can stand up. Did you not here the way he was screaming?!

Who ever says the security was doing there job is chatting shit because think if it was you?! Would you deserve it?!

  • @DinaDinosaurable I lived on campus for 2 years & the Comm Svc Off at UCLA are a bunch of young wannabe UCPD Barneys. The campus police equally abuse their authority. The guy tazed was asked to show his student ID by CSO for no reason. He felt he was being racially profiled so he refused. Powell Library is open to students & non/students alike but the guy was a UCLA student so he had every right to be there. The PD officer tazing has multiple complaints against him so this doesn't surprise me.

  • @1bluepearl "Asked to show his ID for no reason." Wrong. CSOs ask everyone to show their ID when the library closes. Why else would they set the desk up? You shouldn't judge when you don't know the facts outside of this incident. This incident has nothing to do with race or religion.

  • I think he has problem standing up because he just got tazed. How does tazing him more help?

  • the kids a bitch

  • Peacefully resisting does not institue a tazer

  • Why fight the police? with all the shit that has gone on in this country over the past 10 years he is lucky they didn't kill his stupid fucking ass!!!

  • I'm kinda with the cops on this... They should have set it on Star Trek choir-broiled taze mode.

  • its a tazer chill the fuck out bitch

  • Ha stupid bug that's what you get for not showing your id how hard is that no you want to be special dum ass college kid

  • lol I never really watched this video all the way through...they told that guy to stand up somany times-thats crazzzzzy

  • What an idiot, Police are out there doing their job, and when they tell you what to do, do it and figure out who's right or wrong later. If you don't wanna get tazed, STAND UP, how easy would that have been???!!

  • "Ensuring the safety of students" ... by tazing them.

  • Doesnt matter what the Kid did before the Cops questioned him, when you dont follow orders then the Cops have every right to use force. Not answering and pulling your hands away from a COP makes a whole new issue.

  • I love how all the girls feel pity for the guy. :)

  • @FREAK9364 lol thats because alot-most girls act in emotion

  • This isn't Nazi Germany...you don't have to "show your papers" when you are sitting in a library minding your own business. This is nothing but police harassment and this guy was probably standing up for his right to privacy.

Put yourself in his shoes...you are reading a book, in a library, and cops show up and ask you to "provide i.d."???? Even if he was resisting, they could have carried him out. Using a taser is overkill (especially 6+ times, and simply immoral).

    WAKE UP PEOPLE!

  • @Geddy0007 actually on private property like a university, if they ask for your identification ID for being a student there, at 11 PM at night, and the campus rules state you must INFACT show them it, after hours, then yes, you have to, however bad i felt for this man, their is a place for doing whats right, and doing what the rules or laws say has to be done

  • @ShaneSmitty420 You know what, you are right. When asked for ID he should have show it, and maybe it is the LAW. He chose to refuse what he felt was unjust. What was he doing that was so threatening? He's sitting in a LIBRARY READING A BOOK!

What is his crime? Refusing to blindly obey the police? Did you know you have the right to remain silent? A what point was it fine to tazzer someone repeatedly?

Stop trying to justify this behavior. IF you don't stand up against it, you're a sheep

  • @Geddy0007 when one chooses to break the law then they deserve to suffer the consequences metted out! Are you a Socialist & a pro Terrorist? Are you even an American? Are you a Muslim?

  • @KISSarmyist

Muslim? That was out of line. Look up terrorist on the dictionary. Does it apply to just on specific ethnicity?

  • @Geddy0007 You may have the right to remain silent, but when asked to leave the premises and you say no. i say 20 volts should do the trick

  • Jeez someone taze these bastards and see how quickly they can stand up after it!

  • Man if this guy was really a student there he would've shown him the stupid ID, he was being a rebel without cause. Oh yeah and all those wanna be hard asses that were trying to stand up to the cops was unnecessary, like getting arrested was really gonna help the situation. Guy got what was coming to him. And as long as we have laws its, its the governments world and they can bend the laws whatever way they want. The piggies probably got suspended for a couple of days and that's it.

  • @dood9971 He was a student there. He was in the library when some cops came up to him asking him for id for no apparent reason. You wouldn't be saying that if it were you who was tazered.

  • Maybe the dude should have complied with the directions of the officers. I don't understand how the cops can be stupid when they're trained to use tasers on non-compliant people...The alternative prior to using the tazer was to break out the old night stick, or simply man-handle the guy to get him to do what you want him to do. I think the tazer is probably a better solution than beating someone until they do what you're asking them to do.

  • man they must have tazered him at least 6 times how is he supposed to stand up?

  • im not defending them but u can stand after you've been tazed 99.9% of the time my friend is a cop and part of there training is being tazed atleast once

  • @trobe23z that the key word ONCE & in a low setting, taze that fucken racies cops 13 times & turn up the juice to the high setting & see if he stands up afterward.. i bet not....

  • @trobe23z that the key word ONCE & in a low setting, taze that fucken racies cops 13 times & turn up the juice to the high setting & see if he stands up afterward.. i bet not....

  • i was in jail and seen a guy get tazered for flooding his cell and he was get tazered laying in water like 3 time

  • now this is fucked up man

    fuck the cops

    swed

  • although i think they overdid it with the tazering, why was he resisting so much he made the situation a thousand times worse, just do what the cops say, dont lie and you'll get off easier.

  • Fucking stupid cops.......

  • Look at the sheeple in the crowd, they have no idea what America is coming to....FASCISM!

  • fucken gay cops... i hate mother fuckers... they should all die... those fucken pigs...

  • Fucking fag. He's LUCKY he didn't just DISAPPEAR.

Stupid fuck. You resist the cops they ARE gonna fuck you up.

    DUMBASS.

  • the fucking idiot was screaming and shit like an out of control faggot

    he got what he deserved

  • yeah so you wouldnt scream if you got tazed, lmao idiot

  • whatever you say sheeple.....

  • @Humbag You're a dumbass.

  • wth? why were police officers doing the id checking in a university library? don't they have campus security guards or something along those lines?

and that last police officer threatened to taser that student just for talking with them? Wow, talk about a power trip...

  • The truth is they were checking everyone's ID, as they do every night after the public hours for the library are over. This whiney little cunt decided he didn't have to follow university policy, or the law, and in the end he got exactly what he deserved.

If I had acted exactly like him, and shown my ass to the cops, I would have been expelled from MY school on top of being arrested, and then disowned.

Of course I went to a real school with standards, and have upstanding parents.

  • You think this kind of "policing" stops terrorism or helps our security in ANY way? Bullshit! This is simply the beginnings of a police state.

The officer had it in his hands to keep the situation from getting out of control, but he chose to exert his "authority," instead. It's the, "I am the law -- you must obey" mindset that usually causes these problems.

The police in this country are out of control. Their job is to PROTECT the citizens of this country -- not CONTROL them.

    Fucking pigs.

  • niqqasz is missin the point

fuck what happened with the cops

try n find out wat he was SAYINGGG...

    thats the important part

    pay atention retards

  • He said he would level, so he should have just done it. The fact that he didn't do it right away was what probably pissed the cops off. That would piss me off too, but not the the point where I would just tazer him.

Anger management goes a long way.

  • Fuck the police.

he's right, they're abusing their power.

  • FUCK those police men really pussies fucken retards !!!

Fuck US police men !! FUCK THEM !!! bastards

  • lol

  • Show your dam ID next time retard. Then you wouldn't have to say, "Don't taze me bro", now the other students couldn't get the homework done on time cause of your BS. America is awesome if you don't like you can come and go as you please. Just follow the laws and be a law abiding citizen. Who's cares if you are any type of race just show your dam ID, that crap gets into to many peoples heads these days. Let it go and grow up. tens years from now, he'll look back , say yeah I should've shown it.

  • he got tazered coz he didnt show his I.D???

and you think that was right of them to do that? get a fucking brain dude

  • To ghostb72

The truth is the cops did a "random" routine check on Mostafa Tabatabainejad, who have foreign looks, right? Now the cops by checking that kid and ignoring everyone else around used face control and stereotypes on that person. So the rest of the white kids are ok, but that middle eastern kid is a terrorist?!?! And one more thing, your america happens to be awesome cause you use deadly force to get what you want, like the rest of the terrorists. Ever stand to think about that?

  • ghostb72 's personal message to me (enjoy):

I know your only 23 and you need some more time to grow up. The kid should've showed ID or had the cops follow him back to his dorm room to get his ID. That's all I was meaning to say. I just call it like I see it or if I was in the same situation. Hopefully that isn't to hard to understand. Have a good day. I bet its nicer in Greece than it is here in the Old Midwest. LOL

  • Verbal attacks on me and my country get u no where buddy... Enjoy humiliating urself once more ^^

  • Well he didn't show his ID, they could have easily just dragged him away. The use of a taser was uncalled for in this situation.

  • This was in the LA TIMES this morning.

THE REASON WHY he did not show his ID is because he thought the officers were discriminating against him becauase of his background.

    He is Iranian..

    FCK THE POLICE

  • I am an officer of the law,

    suck my balls....

  • dumbass, two burly officers + handcuff= phsyically carrying the kid outside. no need for 100,000 volts. howd you like to get that in your back, you little shit?

  • America sucks. You think you're so fucking pro. Friggin retards.

  • For IgorNeverDies,

u think that america sucks. really? cuz i mean that no problem. U have every right to leave, unlike in other countries. I mean sure you may not AGREE with some of the things that happen, and thats okay, cuz u have every right to tell people that, and announce it. i mean, shit, u could post it in the god damn newspaper, and nothing will happen.

  • (continued)

You get to walk outside and know that some terrorist isnt gonna come up behind you and bomb your neighborhood, you get to eat your food and not worry weather or not it is contaminated with some deadly disease. Dont tell me that america sucks, cuz we are pretty damn lucky if you ask me

  • I dont live in America. And American warfare abroad doesnt decrease the risk of terrorist attacks. It increases it.

  • well that fuckin sucks for u doesnt it?

it may increase the risk of terrorist attacks but if one terrorist even attempts to make an attack all i have to say is good luck. they wouldnt even be able to make it past the coast. we have better security, and everything else so go fuck off.

  • Let me ask you. Who got attacked by terrorists? USA or Norway? :)

  • Don't taze me, bro!

  • before this video was shot, that he didnt have his id, then you would all fully understand. a 7 min video is showing the incident! does it show what was said before? no

so you should all just sort yourselves out and stop commenting stupid swtuff when you dont even no the full story!

ppl talk shit here and say stuff about him like the fact hes bahai or shit like that. you dont even no the guy.

  • YEEEEAH your right, nice speech dude :P

  • @mahangtak didn't have his ID? So....tazer him, beat him, fuck him, kill him? you're an idiot

  • you all sound like fools.

the thing is he has medical conditions. he got tazered because he wouldnt show his id? hes a fourth year student! been there for four years? the campus police were clearly looking for spomething to pick on because there bored and stupid. im sure alll of you have gotten angry and said stuff to people, he was angry. if you guys knew the full story on WHY he didnt have his id and WHy when he told them,

  • Bullshit. Two big men could easily just drag him away without trying to torture him into submission.

  • just drag the spoiled little fuck outback and shoot him

  • The dude is a fuckin moron for not following orders. He gets what he deserves.Simple as that. I'd laugh at the kid.

  • yep, this is what happens when you give a little man the ability to hurt people with no effort or skill at all. where i come from that guard would be wearing an icepick through his spine, purely on principle.

  • FUCK the american policeforce! Fucking retarded!

  • it's 1984 and the thought police are out in full force

  • Police brutality exists but unfortunately, this isn't one. This is more like an incident of the People's Stupidity. I mean, why didn't this guy simply show his ID?

If he didn't have his ID with him, he could have just said so and saved me 6 minutes of silly video watching a grown up man scream like he got a cactus stuck up his kaboot.

  • why the fuck they ask him to stand up!

he just said he had medical conditions and that may be reason he couldn't stand up.

cops usually want people to sit down or lie down on the floor! the student was sitting down and harmles, i dont see any reason for them to tazer him

  • this is when people need to stand up against the man and just charge and beat the shit out of those fucking security gaurds

  • stupid kid must have never got spanked as a child.... idiot doesn't know how to cooperate with police.

  • Using Taser thrice is definitely a violation of the laws. Its just a sample testimony of how much the Americans hate the people of Iran. I wonder under which law shooting taser at a person with bipolar disability is legal! Purely racist law may be??

  • Bitch kicks like a Rockette dancer at 3:14

    LOL!!

    "Here's your patriot act!!" LMAO!

    What a fucking tool!!!

  • The guy apparently just likes getting shocked.

  • are these guys proper cops?

  • COOOOOL BOYS

    XOX mileycyrus

  • that kid sounded like a little douche, i hope they beat his ass on the way to jail.

  • Policy and law are two different things. Policy is not the law.

  • What the hell are you talking about? If he had ID he would have shown it. Therefor he is tresspassing so he is breaking the LAW! Not a policy. How old are you?

  • The more I listen to them say stand up the more I want to hear him get tazed. Just stand up and go where they want you to go. what is so hard about that. College students think they are so smart. the one that says I want your badge number should get tazed too!

  • obviously they have the authority to do what they want. and he's just a little guy. ut he's making a point to stand his ground that they had NO right to do what they did and take the actions that they did. painful choice...maybe, but at least he had the balls so stand up for what is right.

  • Whats wrong with you? You stand your ground if it's a public area or your own property. Thats like saying I can stand in your house and you shouldn't be able to do anything. Think about it ok. They had the right. what if they did nothing and he was plotting something then went through with it then you will be on here blaming security for not doing their job. And I don't care how many thumbs down I have! I stood up for what I think is right I served the country for 10 years!

  • i get what you're saying, but what did he do wrong? from his perspective he was just in the library trying to study. then all of a sudden brutal force was taken. i understand they were just doing their job, but it was uncalled for.

  • He didn't show his ID. Why is that so hard to understand? The security didn't know who he was so they did what they had to do. The tape did not show any faces you just heard the guy making a scene. Just show your ID and continue. but no lets make a scene and interupt people. well he got what he wanted a scene!

  • This shit is getting so boring now. Lets look at the facts: A guard responsible for protecting the students on campus, is doing a random check. The kid has no ID, so he's supposed to go. He refuses. The guard gets help, but when he comes back the kid is leaving. HOWEVER, by this time the suspicious individual might have done something. So maybe the guards want to talk to him. They touch his arm. He FREAKS. He screams like a lunatic. They have to assume something's wrong. He gets tazed. The End.

  • Its only after the fact that we know he was just a little pissy whiny student who hates authority. The cops have to assume that anyone acting suspiciously is a threat. Why the hell are people so delusional? Why do people cook up a ridiculous conspiracy theory about facist power-hungry cops tazing people for fun? Its ridiculous. Am I the only one who watched the video!? Can't people hear him screaming like a crazy man before being tazed? I guess some people only hear what they want to hear.

  • LOLL!!!

    Whos that vioce at 2:07

    lol

  • The kid deserved it show your id. If he was on the street it would be diffrent. That was campas property. He is a turd for screeming like a bitch. Cops know how it feels they have to be tased to carry one. Him crying was funny. It could have all been avoided!

  • Kids these days think they should be able to get away with whatever the fuck they want. He shouldn't have screamed at that guard like a lunatic.

Its like this other sad retard in Seattle who pointed a fucking WW2 rifle and bayonet at a cop after being told to put the thing down.

Watch. Some idiot with an anti-authority agenda will be along in a minute to make out it wasn't the kid's fault.

  • As they say, a weapon in the hand of an idiot is dangerous!!!

  • The problem, the police force is composed of the idiots empty-headed sadistic bastards who can't do anything else in life or get another job.

  • the first time was enough..they should have called for reinforcement thereafter...

  • worst part is the end. the guard says: "back off or you're gonna get tazed too."

  • how can you entice somebody to stand up by incapacitating them? Or is this the logic of the American police force...

  • Ok, so considering the number of school massacres there have been, when a man who refuses to identify himself and refuses to leave is causing a scene, what would you want the police to do? Me? I'd tell them to taze the dumb fucker. He has no right to be a dick and put me at risk. While he's causing a scene, and distracting the police, a real madman could be hurting people elsewhere. Typical student mob mentality "the system is out to get us for no reason" bullcrap.

  • Lol. Putting YOU at risk? You are NOT that important. You are just an average asshole that did not even read the description. They asked him to identify himself and all he was doing was reading. So... Learn to read and learn to listen. And your common sense blows.

  • Fuck. There aren't words to describe how stupid you are.

I did listen thanks. Apparently I heard more than you did.

So what if he's just reading? He had no ID, which meant he had no permission to be there. Those rules exist for a reason. Why don't you go ask the families of gun massacre victims whether they think campus security is a good idea. Pathetic.

  • @EvilMuppet1979

Was it really necessary to taze that guy multiple times (They don't treat grade A banker robbers, Murders this why)? I mean their were more then enough police officers to lift, drag him out of the place kicking and screaming. It looks more like the police were establishing authority.

  • do you know how stupid you sound?

  • Sorry for not pandering to your delusions of oppression. What, did a cop tell you not to skateboard on your neighbours drive or something? Quit with the pathetic "everyone in authority is out to get us" bullshit.

  • are you fucking retarded? i didn't say any of that shit! you saying shit like "a real madman could be hurting others somewhere else" or something makes you seem like an idiot. That honestly has to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. at a college? wow. it's people like you that makes everyone else looks like assholes

  • That wasn't just for your benefit, it was for all hippytards and anyone else who thinks people shouldn't be held responsible for their own actions. The kid was in the wrong. Deal with it.

  • did I say he was right? that's your problem, you just assume

  • Hahaha, the little turd deserved it for being confrontational for no reason. Did you listen to him cry afterwards? "I have a medical condition! Boo hoo hoo!" Serves you right for acting like a fucktard. The safety of the other students is more important than your pathetic stunt.

  • those cops need to fucking be shot. just because they got little ass weapons they think they're the shit. Try being in the army punk asses. =]

  • haha that dude was yelling mad loud lmao this should be in the funny as fuck section... and p.s. fuck the police

  • If the worst injustice some white UCLA student gets in his life, is a couple cops giving him the juice, he'll have lived a blessed and sheltered life. Rich kids never get told what to do. It wasn't the electricity that hurt him, it was the REALITY.

so many trust fund kids, so few non-leathal restraints.

  • ... What makes you think he's rich...?

  • He wasn't white.

  • he's white?? really?!?! what gave it away, that fact that his name's Mostafa? use your brain fuckhead

  • "Showing a cop your Student ID is not a violation of your human rights.."

Well I suppose that not showing it isnt an excuse to mop yours. And I suppose that is no reason for getting tazered either. This is just as the student screamed an abuse of power by police. Just in a oppresive society you would expect to bump into cops within uni library. Bush should deliver a bit of democracy in california as he does in Irak. Therefore getting the best from this goverment logic, UCLA should be bombarded

  • This happened in my last year at UCLA, & I missed seeing it in person by about 10 minutes. What a shame. This video is great, cuz I was never quite convinced the security officers were unjustified in their response to this kid's defiance. This guy was a public nuisance who refused to display his uni card in the college library & then went on to make a scene. I grow weary of young people who desperately vie for attention by making some absurd point. "This is your f*ing Patriot Act!" HA! Priceless

  • ummmmm lemme ask you... why are you watching this? You yourself are sado masochistic....not that the police and the military and the general public disguised as holy and peaceful and respectable are not...unless you are a kid of course :) cheers

  • why do the dumb ass cops tell him to get up after he got shocked? you cant you legs and body is like a log you wont move

  • Any updates on the case?

  • You are not required to assist in your own arrest, your are not to be subjected to corporeal punishment for refusing to follow directions or orders given by any man or woman in an authoritarian position. Geneve convention, but hell I like it when Americans hurt each other stops them from killing third world kids. at leased for a time.

  • OMG you people defending this ass pipe are idiots. Hopefully the next time the police show a LOT more restraint is when you idiots are being shot up at the next random shooting at some college. Had he complied maybe he wouldnt have gotten zapped. And whats with the " can I have your badge numbers"? If you dumbfucks were so smart, you would have asked for the name of their shift commander and called the PD. The only thing those cops did wrong was not draw their 9mm and emptied the magazine.

  • He refused to cooperate when the law stepped in. Don't be a fucking retard next time. All the other assholes standing around asking for badge numbers are lucky they didn't get it. A cops job is hard enough without pussies who think they need to stand up to the "evil lawman". Listen to him talking throughout the video. He sounds psychotic. Showing a cop your Student ID is not a violation of your human rights. Choose your protests a little better.

  • Stand up.

  • when u get tazed u physically cant move and they got him so many times that he proly couldnt think

  • cops are nothing but brainless fucks on a power trip without the IQ necessary to make a reasonable decision they know they have no right which is why they resort to force and having to threaten anything that moves. then they have one shame in saying "it was scary he was like resisting and i thought he was a meany so i tazed him"

  • Jopdrza: Are you white-shirt-boy from the video?

  • you give the contrary point a boost when you open your mouth. society needs law enforcement period. when you start to buy nice things your indifference for the police may noticeably subside.

but remarking on their behavior constructively and remarking on the contrary point may prove a more effective strategy to stimulate reform.

  • As a cop watching this he got plenty of warnings and it would have ended if he had just complied. Also his Yelling "don't touch me!!" would lead me to think he might resist with violence. In police work you assume the worst, people these days are crazy you don't know what they are capable of so we take no chances and go with the reasonable amount of force which is why the tazer is a good tool. It gets the job done with no long lasting effects.

  • very few people in this country risk their lives every day at work. with that, we owe every officer the benefit of their professional judgment in decisions made in responding to any given case.

but as for my question for tito, is their a professional guideline to the number of deployments that a person can consecutively sustain under protocol.

these men acted the way they reacted and mabey in that there should be better utilization of a procedure. no long lasting effects? dude? people die?

  • No,it all depends on the size of the person ,if they're on drugs or heavily intoxicated you use it as many times as NEEDED to gain control. In those cases where people died they usually have a preexisting medical condition which police couldn't foresee. I'm NOT defending the number of times he was tazed, but I do support the use of it in this situation. Personally once he was tazed and on the ground I would have slapped the cuffs on him, then he would have be dragged out to the car.

  • tito20x: Thanks for your service. It is obviously a difficult job, witnessed by the idiots in the video and some who have commented here. I agree with most of your points, but I don't know that the amount of tasings was neccessarily wrong. He had several opportunities to comply and he repeatedly chose not to. A question for you; why wasn't white-shirt-boy arrested for interfering with official acts? This ignorant protesting behavior is obsurd. Put him on his ass too.

  • What's the logic behind tazing someone who's physically and/or mental state is more than likely altered (especially when they're drunk)? Most people who are seriously intoxicated can't fight so easily. Usually cops are on such a power trip.

  • I love most cops. I know that couldn't have been an easy time.

He was given every reason to comply, and no reason not to comply. Time and again, police officers are being shown what happens when you leave even a slight opening for a suspect to worsen a situation.

Impressionable university students can't stand to see anyone in pain, and don't realize the danger that both they and the police could be in.

If the guy wasn't looking for trouble, how did he find it? By not complying with police.

  • i have never opposed the deployment of the tazer to subdue the dumbass. but when the kids got cuffs on and on the ground in control that changes my idea of the threat. if a man can taze a prisoner because he will not or cannot get up it may become rhetorical and quickly evolve into a dangerous situation. a need for discretion to prevent negligent use of the otherwise justified tool is essential to preserve the non lethal, safe qualities.

  • Good point, and agreed.

Perhaps this was an oppressive measure to make an example of him, or mere bullying. Outbursts like this could be avoided on all sides with cooler heads, but I think everyone had a point to make that day. Point taken.

Oddly a new fellow pops up every now and again, just in case you forgot what a prone tazing looks like.

It has to be understood that not all the police present agreed with the justification, but they must maintain solidarity, even in a bad call.

  • sad,really sad

  • prphthstle: I agree. It is sad. What do we need to do to teach kids about the law and law enforcement? Specifically; if someone is being a dumb@ss, and chooses not to comply, the officers have an obligation to use force. Furthermore, if you interfere with their acts, you may be retained as well. How can we help these kids learn these important lessons? Another question: are ignorance and loudness directly proportional? They seem to be in the video. Why is that?

  • retard they arent kids .. they go to UCla. Stop acting like such an ignorant dick..acting like you know all. Have you ever gone to a UC? I bet not...these kids are way more educated then you.

  • shlomoman- Great points, spoken like a true 67 year old. One quick question; is it possible to "act ignorant", and "act like you know all" both at the same time? I have not gone to any UC. Lord knows I tried, but I am way too dumb - they wouldn't let me in.

  • it sounds like he got enough warnings. They said stand up like.... how many times?

  • psychologically, the human cannot even begin to stand the pain of the tazer until the first minute. They kept on tazering him again and again. He nervous system was overloaded and paralyzed. He could not stand up, and the police knew it.

  • I can probaly agree the reson why he got Tazered the first time. But a bit confused why they tell him to get up or get Tazered again. probaly couldent get up that well from all the times he got Tazered the first place. But still think he should of complied though if he could get up.

  • the funny thing is that this student's first year's salary out of school probably equals that of every officer in this video. these cops are the guys that were fags in high school and finally get a little power under their belt...fuckin pigs

  • freedom of speech? the most advanced and free-est nation of the world?

looks like those cops are a bunch of animals

  • they were not cops. cops know enough to have dragged his ass to the curb after they cuffs went on.

  • I think there fucking morons fucken police

  • can i get ur badge number i want you officers information, get the fuck outta here, what are you gonna do have rich daddy to get ur friend outta jail and all the officers fired, grow up, i hate college students and anyone who protests against silly shit, like clubbing seals or killing whales, maybe if we started offin mouthy college students the world would be a better place haha

  • college kids are easy to pawn off as insignificant sub class punks. they are rebelling so it doesnt matter if an officer breaks PROCEDURE and PUNISH a LIMP man IN CUSTODY for not responding to verbal cues.

Man if that was a real cop the guy would have been fired.

Civil Liberties and personal rights are not protesting some insignificant trivial point man thats a slippery ass slope that your apathy could further...slipperize!

  • Rich white kids with entitlement issues. He was not responding to police orders. He got tazed. 10 years ago he would have been pepper sprayed. 20 years ago he would of gotten beaten with batons. As soon as this moron realized he had an audience he become more and more resistant. Everyone deserves one warning, and a moment to calm down. You take it or leave it, and then you get dealt with accordingly.

  • I agree he was deservingly placed in custody. The guy was an asshole for sure. BUT can an officer repeatedly taze a person in custody that is limp and not moving. My guess is that an officer needs to feel threatened to justify deploying his tazer. And as far as entitlement is concerned man you have no idea where we come from friend, my blood is as blue as yours. Judge not those that observe as we cant help but be moved by what we see.

  • It would have been wrong 20 years ago too. Don't blindly side with police because you're a cop. This is indefensible behavior on their part. A tazer is not to be used to force people to your will. It is only to be deployed as a means of self preservation or the preservation of others.

  • Also there is no way you can tell from this video that the victim was a rich white kid. You are biased on two fronts.
