"Alice": You are fantastic! You're aesthetic awareness and capacity to express it, joyfully astounds me. I listened to Bell mature across the years, and look forward to hearing you live also (fifteenth row, center, if I can). Thank you. Like Bach, you are a blessing to this world.
I wish I knew enough about music to be such an enormous douche like certain commenters. I just hear the beautiful music; you must know enough to appreciate the complexity, the hidden beauty, the gentle interweaving of themes and repeated strains. And still you can be a pretentious douche. Outstanding.
@andronikisa I am so jealous of you!! I play piano, and it's a great instrument, but there is something about the way those two violins sing to each other that is so unique and irreplaceable :)
Esta hermosa melodia me encanta!!!! es maravillosa!!! admiro a Bach es uno de mis musicos favorios de musica clásica y este genero tambien me gusta mucho!!
@dongwgo Cellos don't fit? Bach is string, string is cello. There is a reason why those who can, play the cello to Bach. But, your opinion is still yours. Rostropovich cello. enough said. listen and enjoy
@madtownstu bach is string but string isn't cello, its is the combination of violin, viola, cello and double bass. and especially on this piece which is written for violins, the cello sounds too loud for the violins. I meant that the cello part was quite too loud compared to the violins in this piece which is written for two violins
@zhinthemist its not songs but movements. the name is simply the title of the main piece, which in this case is the double violin concerto in d minor, plus the movement number, which is 3. so the title would be double violin concerto in d minor 3rd movement.
i remember watching this video when it only had a couple hundred views, however the number of views it has now is more fitting for such a nice piece.
By the way this performance was great, very well done. It was very enjoying to listen to. I am just getting into classical music as I'm a guitar player looking to broaden my musical pallate and would like some suggestions of artists such as these to check out because I do not know much of anything about this music yet. IC.
I would say im a decent lead guitarist and im thinking of taking up classical violin classes this June.. will it make learning the violin any easier? i love this instrument! :P
@dwayne515 I went from being a decent guitarist to playing cello in a string class for music teachers as a college student. I think knowing guitar will give you some sense of two-handed independence. There are some things you will no doubt have to unlearn or adjust quite a bit, but in general I found playing one string instrument before did make learning a second one less of a rock-bottom beginning.
@manthasagittarius I would like to play the cello myself. I am a very acomplished guitar player, seemed the violin came reall easy to me and I was able within a couple hours to make some very convincing sounds and songs. The Cello I tried once in a music shop and wow yeah that was a whole different animal at least to me. I agree with the 2 hand independance thing and having the coordination already, but alot of major adjustments for cello, just action and string size alone. Cheers, IC.
@MRSQU1D You mean the fixed voice and the artificial sounds are better than great ability to play a REAL instrument as this performance... maybe in an parallel universe.
@MRSQU1D you sir have impeccable taste in music, I understand that bach is fairly complicated and that listening to a man with a girl voice sing "baby baby Ooooh" over and over again is easy for you... but don't diss bach, there's a reason we still listen to him.
are you Mr. Squid or Mrs. Quid? Just wondering if you're a male cephalopod or a wealthy female Brit. I'm guessing the former, since the latter would certainly have better taste.
As much as I like Mozart,I have to admit that Bach's music reaches the inner depths of the human soul, in ways that other composers, dead or alive, will never do
@maskonto77 Hahaha wow you surely are an idiot. He did actually wrote symphonies. So, before you start insulting people, just try to get yourself a little bit of more information, okay? Have a marvelous day.
Actually, Bach never wrote any symphony. He wrote Sinfonias, which mean something else.
