You're confusing the Obama administration with the Bush administration and FOX news i.e. a regime that constantly got caught lying about domestic and foriegn matters in the name of "keeping the people safe"and other "false hope" lies while a media network that they owned and controlled constantly covered their tracks with lies and apologies. I like the show too... good entertainment, but you can't tell me after watching the first episode that everything didn't sound like the obama administration. Hope, change, and universal health care. 26 Deacon, your country and freedoms are falling apart in front of you. If the health care bill passes the senate (just passed the house) then the government will have control over 50% of the "private sector." I don't know about you, but i don't want the government to own me and my freedoms.

First off, just because i don't like the Obama Administration doesn't mean i liked the Bush Administration. Not a fan of either. The premise of the show (hope, change, universal health care) are all things in common with the Obama Administration. You can't deny or argue that. You want our government running your health care? Ask anyone on medicare or medicaid how well their coverage is. It will only bankrupt our country.

I don't know that for sure? It's called written stats from history. Medicare and medicaid have cost this country more than 10 times the predicted amount.  Not to mention that in the bill (i can look up the exact paragraph for you) it says that you have to give over 10% of your income to pay for the government option, even if you don't use it. When the government realizes they can't pay for everything, that percentage will rise. It's not scare tactics, it's called being aware and educated.

Unemployment has doubled since Bush left office. People aren't scared about having to go to a hospital. You need care you will always get it. Why is he doing nothing even though jobs are being lost? He doesn't care what people need, or he would put his energy into unemployment. He just wants to make the government more powerful, and having them control our care is a big step in that direction. I know enough about government programs to know they screw you more then any business ever will.

It hasn't started in the USA yet. The first 4 eps will air in November and the rest in the spring. Australia, Ireland, Sweden and the U.K. will air it but haven't scheduled any airdates. I don't know about other countries.

Even in the first minutes she shows up in the original min-series you feel really uneasy.
