Hi Harvey, very nice videos, decent profits, very simple and straight forward. How much technical analysis do you do prior to deciding if you will/won't trade the stock that day? and how long have you been doing this?
I realise it must be difficult articulating a coherent running commentary whilst trading, but i was wondering: There's some nice sections in your course where you move behind the candlesticks and explain a little of why and how price movements occur around resistances and supports, any chance of giving us a verbal on why ( from your point of view) a stock price is responding as it is, while you are trading?
very helpful videos! And I can see how you are actually using the strategies from ur book!!amazing result..1 question harvey, when u short, r u using market order? seems they are always filled so perfectly!
Also, with PLMD which was a takeover, I tend to avoid those because when they open, they have a tendency to jump to the takeover price and then lock at that price, sometimes for weeks or months.
I have two thoughts . First I don't know why you felt compelled to get out of the WINN trade when you did. It was well within the moving average and downtrend line. Why not put a tight stop in above the current price or MA and wait it out? As you probably know the price went down to just under 22 about 5 minutes after you sold it without ever hitting the MA.
Again, I appreciate you sharing your knowldege and am not being critical, but just trying to understand your thought process.
Nice to have you back Harvey! I missed your trade videos these last few days. Also, since I am still learning about day-trading it would really help if you could say a few more words in the videos about your rationale for entering a trade (e.g. like you did by showing the triangle on WINN). I keep being amazed at your sizeable wins and minuscule losses, but out of curiosity what size account/margin does one need to make those 500/1,000 share trades?
Great performance. I was observing MXIM, as well, but did not trade because I felt undecisiveness in the stock. Was profitable with ADSK and CTX instead. Looking forward to your upcoming sessions!

In the videos, yes, for simplicity. In normal trading I don't recommend it though - use Limits in the way explained in the course.

Agreed - I wanted to close out and finish up the video, otherwise I would have put on a trailing stop and let it run.
