  • Look, a cave in Post-Apocalyptia! How inviting! Oh, Deathclaws. Nevermind.

  • people will write stories just because of how awesome and immersive this music is and i will do my monthly comment-checking routine to find fellow minds on the web.

  • all the music from fallout 1 was used in new vegas and that is a plus imo, using these masterpieces instead of making new ambient music that probably wouldnt be as great , man i love great ambients that make great atmospheres in games (this piece makes me think of Stalker series)

  • This also found its way into New Vegas in one of the vaults I believe.

  • @kowboykurtiz

That would be Vault 19. :P

  • @kowboykurtiz it actually plays in most vaults if not all of them

  • this is in new vegas and i think in fo3 too?

  • @StealthKing95

I'm pretty sure it wasn't in FO3, but a lot of New Vegas's soundtrack was lifted from the first two Fallouts so it would surprise me there.

  • @Stuurminator Thats because the people who developed New Vegas developed Fallout 1 and 2.

  • If there was ever a Fallout movie, they would need Mark Morgan to do the music, or it wouldn't have a quarter of the Fallout feel. Heck, the new games should have Mark Morgan instead of Inon Zur for the music!

  • @MikeIronweaver56 true but I liked the thing that they used Mark Morgans songs in new vegas, just the soundtracks themself added a great nostalgia to the game

  • OMG too much Nostalga.

  • one of my favourite music all time in fallout soundtrack

Thanks Obsidian to put it on New Vegas

  • Fallout 1 and 2 are epic games, best games ever in my opinion. But I have to say that New Vegas is also a very good game I absolutely love it. Fallout 3 was also good but not great. But the first 2 I think are the only single player games that I have played for more than 8 hours and still had to force my self to quit playing.

  • this can be heard on New Vegas too

  • @platefork

I knew I wasn't crazy! It was playing in a pitch-black cave full of cazadors...

  • how did you get the songs from fallout 1?please tell me

  • @TheRadioactivemutant From the fallout dir go \DATA\SOUND\MUSIC and the files should be there. They are in ACM format so you'll prob need a converter. Try "No Mutants Allowed" they might have a ACM to WAV converter or just download the converted music files from thier website.

  • @RandomSnot thanks

  • they just don't make games or soundtracks with this kind of atmosphere anymore

  • @LTBL88

    until new vegas, that is.

And for me there have been some other immersive tracks (though I will not name any for fear of angry haters

  • @spidey8vader Well yeah New Vegas uses some of the original Fallout music which I think was a brilliant choice. And also inon zur did a really good job of capturing the fallout feel in the new atmospheric music which I have to say was really unexpected for this era and considering F3

  • @LTBL88

That is true. I can't stop playing new vegas. That music just keeps me held in. Like that violin. It's so mesmerising. I can't stop humming it.

  • @LTBL88 Hmm.. Inon+Mark= best soundtrack ever.

  • damn this music even gave me nightmares back in the days.
