BWAAAHHHHHHAAAAAA. We drive a polaris ranger 500 with almost bald tires up and down that beach and never get stuck, even when we tow a fully packed trailer!!!!!!
I've been stuck in the outer banks before...in a convertible mustang. Doh! The beach was hard packed, then out of nowhere it was soft, deep sand. Haha. Luckily a good samaritan local came by & pulled me back to safety.
It's either Corolla or farther north in Corova. I had the same exact truck and NEVER got stuck...all stock with stock tired. It's how you drive and air pressure...
u americans really suck at driving!! u have such big cars with sauch big engines, u get stuck in the sand, on flat sand!! don't even think going to the dunes.
please guys, pay attention, there is somethins called air pressure, yeah , that one u sue in the tires, if u go the beach in such big vehicles with automatic, u need to reduce the pressure.
Well, most of the work on terrain is done by what kind of tires you have, and then the air pressure. The whole point of staying on top of sand is to have a wide tread and not to spin the tires that much so you won't bury the truck. I've had my 2wd truck thru stuff like this and it works wonders having my 12in wide, 305/50 size tires.
toyotas....? i pulled out 20+ people in my chevy including a tacoma or 2... by all means im not brand bashing if you let your tires down and kno what you are doing you will do just fine...unless you have an awd...theysuck
Very true statements. The funny part about everyone who got stuck is the first thing they always did AFTER getting stuck was to let the air out of their tires. Check out my other vids too.
i never understood why they waited to air down, because sometimes by the time you're stuck and air down, you're already so badly stuck that you can no longer drive out of it. if it's really soft sand where even 4x4's get stuck, i air down every time.
It did finally get out with the big guy pushing. It was stuck for a quite a while though. There was also a new power wagon on the beach too; that thing was cool. The most impressive vehicles in the loose stuff were definitely the Toyotas. Those things couldn't be stopped.
Most of you dont read before you post.. How many times are you going to mention "lower air pressure?" We got it already..LOL.

would of been a lot easier if you were turning the wheels side to side
xxlilxxcheadlexx 2 years ago
@xxlilxxcheadlexx that only works in mud, not in sand.
alexrex20 1 year ago
@alexrex20 no it will work in both, mostly depends on what tires you have

I air down all the time no matter what beach I am at. It helps that I have CO2 so I can air my tires back up w/ out trying to look for air.

hope this is corolla because organ inlet people are usually smart enough to air down... Then again i love corolla lots of money to be made...
dooleey 2 years ago
yeah, tis is got to be corolla because of the for sale sign at 0:22. Plus the sand at Oregon Inlet is much deeper.
Most people dont air down at Corolla because there is no air station there to fill the tires back up at, unlike at Oregon Inlet
