  • The language is made up, it has some Spanish words though.

  • XDDDDD, omg i am spanish and what is this accent XDDD

  • @P4W3R Yeah, i don´t understand a word....Que no entiendo ni papa, xd.

  • French accent can destroy any language :(

  • Out of all of the VGM on this list, I must say that this has got to be the worst one, in fact, it's got to be one of the most annoying songs I have ever heard in my entire life, certainly not worthy of being considered one of the best. I mean, the lyrics sound vaguely Spanish, except its not so it ends up being crassly offensive and patronizing. And if one doesn't find the chorus to be wretchedly annoying, then there's something wrong with him.

  • chileconcarde

  • i just found my new ringtone

  • Epic song for an Epic Game.

    Carlson and Peeters!!!

  • LAST LAP FOR THE LITTLE ROOKIE!!!

  • wath is the name of the song?

  • this game rocks!

cant wait for the second one =]

  • This isn't bad, but I never understood what people liked about this game, can someone explain it to me?

  • It's somewhat of a cult title. It's very original and being such an underground succes, blockbuster succes never came. There's a sequel on the way.

  • bad news on the sequel... ubisoft is in the deciding process of dropping the title because they feel the cult following isnt enough of a high demand to create a sequel and believe me i would love a sequel for this game to come out but right now those possibilities look slim to none...

  • @RatedRSuperstarZ

That would be terrible. - When this game came out, the only way I heard about it was from a few mags stating how this game should not be overlooked - no advertising, released in the process of Prince of Persia hurt this gem.

There is too much potential to let this die out - this and Shenmue need sequels!!!

  • @JediPrime7 I remember Game Informer putting ads for this game in one of their issues so I don't know what you mean. And it doesn't need a sequel because it's just an ersatz Jak 2, a Zelda clone, Pokemon Snap, and a watered-down adventure game rolled into one incredibly bland game.

If you want an actually underrated game that desperately needs a sequel: go look at "Woodruff and the Schnibbel of Azimuth", "Quest for Glory", or "Armies of Exigo"

  • @Quikquik98 Never heard of any of those games - will have to find out about them.

Thanks for your opinion - which I take as negative as I read your other comments, however, I liked the premise of this story, the music, and the fact that the creators had to cut so much out would like to see how it would end.

Not to mention that it used the camera aspect, stealth, and only certain areas of combat. - In addition, one of the best female characters in a land of lara crofts during that time.

  • well, the athmospere in the game is perfect. a large cool world, with many unknown creatures, mazing graphics (for the time it came out), and awesome music. it all fits together to perfection.

copple this with great gameplay, tight controls, innovative puzzles, (kind of) co-op action, humor and well designed characters with good voice actors.... well go figure

  • I know this is a really late comment, but this is basically an American version of the Zelda formula. I thought they did a fantastic job, myself.

  • Well, not really American. It was developed in France.

  • Oh, was it? That's cool. Well, anyway, American wasn't the right word. More like "western".

  • @POLE7645

I think it was Montreal since that's Ubisoft's main HQ is.

  • @killersithlords

Ubisoft main HQ has always been Paris. This is where it was founded. Montreal (which is rather close to where I live) only houses a studio (they also got one in Shanghai, for example).

  • @POLE7645

Well all there good games come from Montreal. :)

  • i still need to beat this. i became less interested when it turned into a stealth game. don't get me wrong, still love it.

  • Don't like it, don't watch it/play it/listen to it, whatever.

Goes for the game and the songs.

If you want to be a dipshit, go to the retard daycare and make yourself feel special.

    I personally loved the game.

  • I hate reggaeton as well but this isn't that. It sounds more like spaniard folk music.

  • Can someone please provide a translation to the lyrics?

  • it's gibberish so no one can!!!

  • this isnt gibberish its straight up spanish i would know im spanish and i know wat they're sayin...

  • You'd have to be spanish to keep up with what they're saying...

  • I'm going to listen to this until I can understand what they're saying. x3

  • First time I actually loved a mini game about races. I raced just to hear this track. "El mejor!"

  • Ah, and yes Supradarky, I think it was in that disc minigame you could play at the mini bar.

And CovertLoneWolf: I loved Beyond Good & Evil and Jade was a great main character, but I have to admit, I also like Rumble Roses and Dead or Alive ;D. Btw, I think in last year's EA a teaser trailer about BG&E2 was shown.

  • They really put a lot of effort into this score. I'm impressed!

  • one of my favorites. and one of my fave games.

    truly epic

i also like the "propaganda" song, but this one is better

  • Not to nit pick or anything, but the bar song is actually called "Propaganda" and this is instead the track that plays in the first two race tracks. Its still pretty awesome that you put it into your list, I love it too :D

  • Yes but for some reason, while this song plays during the races, it's still called Spanish Bar. :P I think it also plays during a minigame at the bar.

  • Yeah it does play during the minigame at the bar, I think the name that Nintendo gave this track is more fitting, "Fun and mini-games".

  • @SupraDarky the theme plays in a number of places: the hovercraft races, the mini game at the bar against Francis the shark, and the first level of the Pearl Game that you unlock after finding all of the pearls in the game.

  • @Rickfish131 On the soundtrack list, this track was titled 'Fun and Mini-Games' - so much confusion! o.o

  • This was a pretty good game I thought.

It didn't sell well IIRC... partly to blame was lack of advertisements by Ubisoft.

But it seems that just last year it was unveiled that a sequel is in the works!

  • Indeed, this game was very underrated, but I saw the graphics, the pig and the back cover. I was stuck. :P

Fun game, with a big chance of getting bigger. And yes it didn't sold so well so they scrapped the sequel, for now.

There has been a video released about BGaE 2, however, it may only be a mock up.

  • I've HEARD this song somewhere... like a commercial or something. I haven't played it (though I want to) so I know it's from there...

  • Nice song, awesome game.

But I can't help but be reminded of all the Honda Civics that go by my house playing stuff life this...

  • eh. Are you implying you live close to the Mexican border?

  • Sigma I'm hoping that was a joke, if it isn't thats a terrible attitude to have and you're they reason we have trash like Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball and Rumble Roses. I hate seeing these women in games with impossible bodies and perfect skin as it just plays to the stereotype that gaming is only for teenage boys. I see gaming as an artform and a new medium of storytelling that whilst its still in its infancy, has real potential. We need more female leads like Jade and less T&A.

  • I liked Jade's design, perhaps that picture doesn't do the in-game character model justice. I liked her clothing and hair style, gives her an edge which fits nicely with the semi-futuristic world, and remember that the games graphical style isn't a ultra realstic one, it's stylized with slightly exaggerated features. If you want to know what a more realistic looking Jade would look like, try Alex Vance from Half-Life 2.

  • Pray tell, what's so wrong with her design

  • what a freaky coincidence! i just bought this game today!

  • I really want to play this game. Does anybody know which version is the best between the console and PC? The console version is kinda hard to find, but the PC version is available on Steam.

  • Gamecube Or Xbox > PS2 >>> PC

  • PC > GC > PS2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Xbox

  • I remember the shit out of this game, its was great as hell.

  • bought this game on steam the other day for super cheap. still in the beginning but it's great so far.

  • Where did you get this music!!!?

I've been looking for it for ages

  • Comment removed

  • Oh, I found it

  • I used to play that minigame just to hear this song, I liked it THAT much. Man, I gotta get this game again...maybe I'll get it off steam.

  • another underrated gem . But to those who doubt of god's existence should know that a beyong good and evil 2 is on its way.

  • wuuuuuut? damn...about time! your right..this game is so underrated...

  • i like it!! :D
