I love this guitar. I bought it as an adult beginner and a smaller female a couple of years ago. I have loved the sound and mine generally stayed in tune. I didn't have sharp edges that I have seen some people talking about, but I did have to tighten the jack. That's the only real problem I've found.
I think I will keep using this guitar as I get more experience; it is the best fit for my size and has pretty good sound.
You bought an ibanez, the input jack requires constant tightening, get used to it. Mine is custom so i changed the jack to one from an iceman, if you want an amazing guitar buy a schecter hell raiser
@timothe221 I actually just found that I need a bigger guitar, and I got a full sized Laguna with 22 frets and a whammy for only $70. It was a bargain. :3
Thanks this is a great review in october on my birthday im buying this. good enough for me im still a beginner guitarist so not bad for a beginner guitar
my paint job sucks on my white guitar, along with the tuners. I just bought sperzel locking tuners for mine and will be painting it chameleon purple this summer. Suprisingly I really like the pickups on this guitar, so I'm not swapping them out for higher end DiMarzio's. Make sure to lock down the input jack as it also tends to get loose very easily. Not a bad little investment for $125 @ guitar center.
very true about the input jack, I however haven't had any trouble with the paint job in terms of it chipping or anything like that, I also don't have a problem with the tuners. I really like the pickups as well, I actually prefer them to my Schecter C1-FR's Duncan Designed active pickups.
cool, seems like its ok. Ima buy this one in red a black, I was looking for a cheap guitar for me since im a beginner that wasn't horrible cuz of its price. thanx for the review
haha thats funny.......i just bought one yesterday and was freakin out cuz i thought it was gunna suck but i only paid $100 for it but now i guess im satisfied :D.....(i bought it offline)
this is not a bad starter guitar. it works best if you remove the original tuning pegs and replace them with a higher quality set. the original seem to not maintain tuning accurately. I bought one for my son and had it adjusted and it is a very good guitar to practtice.
Thanks for the review! Great info for someone just starting out. BTW, a LOT of people use Ibenez, like Bradley Nowell of Sublime (RIP), Joe Satriani, James Shaffer of Korn, Paul Stanley of Kiss, Mick Thomson of Slipknot, Steve Vai and many, many more.......
