  • i can't find words to describe how fantastic is this. keep on!

  • FUCKING AWESOME DUDE!!!

  • dude i have both of those guitars to!!!!!!!!!!

  • damnn(:

  • Awesome cover, dead on, awesome setup, V3 and an avatar cab, good shit. Also, to whoever was arguing E# was Db, Db is C# and Protest The Hero plays in Eb not E#

  • i love how some guy is arguing that there is no E sharp, what a dumbass. sweet cover though.

  • @urinalcakesaretasty it's just that intelligent people refer to it as F

  • @Seraphim777961 intelligent people? I personally wouldn't call it E# for convenience sake, but E# is often the en-harmonically correct note. For example the 7th degree of F# Major is technically E#, not F.

  • @urinalcakesaretasty i honestly dont know why i said intelligent people, i just meant those that have some experience with theory, but ik that it is techincally E# IN F Major

  • @Seraphim777961 actually in F Major there is an E natural, which is E. In F# Major the 7th degree is E# not F. They're the same pitch, but for the scale's sake it is called E#, as urinalcakesaretasty said, which is correct. Maybe you just hit a typo and meant F# Major though...

  • @MotionlessGhost886 i think thats what happened because i had F# in mind when typing

  • spot the fuck on.

  • What tuning is that it?

  • @benoz11 what?

  • Nice cover man! O: how long you been playing?

Also , check out mine watch?v=4Ou8e5EN1ao

  • You better have a band going. Your fucking good!!

  • It is not rare because when you play in F Sharp major/d sharp minor or C sharp major / a sharp minor you would play an E # and you think it's confusing go study your enharmonics for at least minutes you will get it :D

  • There is essentially no E# or B# what the fuck you guys on about

    A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G# are the 12 semitones that make up an octave. You could argue that E# is F but really it's rarely called E# as that would just confuse people.

  • @benoz11 Well you see in F sharp major/ d sharp minor or C sharp major/ a sharp minor you will use E sharp. Learn your enharmonics. Also, let's say you are in the key of D major (two sharps f and c) and you want to go chromatically ok to the F sharp starting on the E you Put an E sharp to put an F in there this could be use over a secondary chord to create suspense or some people refer to it as a modulation but it's too small to say it is

  • Amazzinnggg <3

  • awesome playing man!! funny but i own the v3 and was wanting to buy the same exact avatar cab for it....i wont waste your time asking you how you like it as i can tell it will sound badass when i buy one,i will however ask if you got the open back or closed back option?? also what kind of tubes are you using in the power section of your v3, EL34's or 6L6's???

  • aint that the guitar they were giving away in a competition?

i like how you look so relaxed lol

  • theres muscle memory, then there's this.

  • sick cover man!!

  • How long have you been playing?

  • It depresses me that I can't play like this :(

Only in my dreams can I play like this...one day

    This is EPIC

  • WOW!

  • The only time it's called E# is when, for example in the key of B, where E is your 4th, If you were to augment your 4th you would call it E# not F, because there is no F in the key of B, so to keep it right in terms of key you call it E#. because in your key signature for B there is an F# so rather than naturalising the F on the stave, you would sharpen the E. So E# does exist. It's the same note as F, but in some situations, like in the example above, you call it E# :)

  • Yo bro, what model Jackson you got?

  • SL2HT? Got one myself, they are smoking guitars!

  • Hahahaha. "Problem" with E# is so funny. There is no E# or Fb XD!

  • you are a fucking beast at tapping.

  • verse riff was wrong, everything else pretty sick

  • fucking amazing. everything was dead on perfect

  • Nice setup, really nice cover. I'm hopefully going to get some Protest the Hero covers up soon, too.

  • Dudeeee awesome cover!!

Could you try cover Sequoia Throne?? I think you could handle it ;)

  • wow amazing!!! great job!!

  • Comment removed

  • dude i just got this shit and i love your tone. would you mind sharing your tone info? haha im struggling making the amp work for me and i need help hahah

  • hey dude.

omg this is so amazing <3333

you are a so brilliant guitarist.

btw. how long play you guitar?

  • Dude this is amazing.

  • one word.

    BOMB

    this is so sick man

  • no james cameron makes tube amps for senior projects.

  • Awesome guitar dude :)

  • @bassplayer18a7x8 look up enharmonics. yes, there is an E#.

  • @OTATre Yeah, F.

  • @OreoCream19 you're exactly right. :)

  • what amp?

  • Hmmm... I did not know James Cameron made Cabinets too.

  • HOLY SHT! NICE!!!

  • Nice cover dude, well made video

  • you have serious talent bro.

  • nicely done. really clean and guitar sounds great nice job

  • Really good and clean. I was hoping to see the pick sweeps near the end but really good job.

  • do you have the tabs for this?

  • so sick dude. good job. man I fucking love this song, idk how they even write shit like this, especially those crazy tapping licks with the odd timings. fucking awesome

  • for every body that is trying to solve this problem they are not the same the are two different notes but they are enharmonically equivalent (they sound the same) haha

  • ...dude wow...

  • Nice cover men!!

  • like..fucking perfect dude.

best cover for this song i've ever seen, ferrrsuuure!

  • its E#, which is also Db, not D# or Eb, which are 2 full steps apart

  • E# is not the same as Db E# is the same as F

  • You are trippin bro...E# would be F lol likewise, Fb would be E. Remember? E and F are only half-tone.

  • @antman95 your right but there is no such thing as E# lmao

  • @jarredridesbmx wow shit for brains, he just said "E# is the same as F" think about it. E# plus a half step up/one semitone up is F. E# does exist but its called F normally since theres no "E#", its E with a half step up.

  • @antman95 Im pretty sure there is no E# buddy. Hence saying E# is the same as F is false.

  • @VhMetalx LEARN MUSIC THEORY you fuck jesus christ, E# exists in scales. FOR INSTANCE, E# major would be (E#, G, A, A#, B#, D, E, E#) but technicalities say that would be F major. so it DOES exist, just called F. Just like B#, its C, but it exists in certain modified scales. get it right.

  • @d4u7211 STOP YELLING AT ME for one. For two, the TECHNICALITY (you said it yourself) makes it F NOT E#. Plus its easier to say F instead of E#. PLUS I've never heard music theory junkies say E#.

and dont call me a fuck because you decide to choose to make something more complicated than it actually is.

  • @VhMetalx LOL well i proved what i needed to and made you mad, so im all good now.

  • @antman95 no its not, e sharp is a half step, f is a whole step from e.

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls Nope. What is open e string?E, obviously. And what is first fret e string? F. there is a half step between e and f.

  • @Spudislander94 noo, i dont know much about guitar, but shouldnt the first fret be e sharp!??!

  • @ShittyMcPoopyBalls It is indeed E sharp, and E Sharp sounds exactly the same as F. Hence, unless you were describing a certain chord, you would refer to it as F, which it is.

  • Pretty sure you just confused yourself there.

    Eb = D#

    C# = Db

    )

  • i think you are just a little confused.

D# (sharp) tuning IS Eb (flat) because a D# and an Eb are the same note. Most original guitar is played in standard E tuning, and protest is simply a half step down on all strings. E# would mean everything is a half step above standard.

So ya Protest plays in standard Eb tuning, or D#

  • wow..i rarely post comments but this was AMAZING!!!

  • perfectly executed.

  • fuc kme, thats some crazy playing more protestt the hero covers YEA!!!!

  • the tuning of this song is D#....i think :p

  • No. Db.

  • its D# or Eb (same thing)

  • are you playing in drop C or D tunning??? sick playing by the way, you really owned!!!

  • Comment removed

  • 5 stars, you owned that shit

I play guitar, but the whole sweep-tapping thing (which I think your doing in several parts) is still above my ability.

  • it's a "Cover" asstit!...,not supposed to be PERFECT!

  • your sick dude

  • hmm the gibson in the background owns! haha anyway, great cover, great song, great album.

  • WOW how many years you play guitar for play this song :o

that's absolutly insane to play like that

    respect dudee

  • Is that a Soloist? I have a SL3, and I was wondering how it sounded with the V3.

I am planning on purchasing the V3, and I was wondering how it sounded. Also, what speakers are in that cab?

  • gah, that was a sick ass cover dude. really nice job, loved the tapping bit, =P i wanna learn this song now, haha. 5 starrs =P

  • 5* still though

  • WAIT WTF NO SWEEPING PART BOOOOOO, everything else was near to perfect, just dissapointing that you didnt do the little solo sweeping thing at the end :(

  • nive cover man

  • Good shit! I'm suprised this band is better known... at least around here in CT no one knows of them I've encountered.

  • if u want a challenging song I would suggest learning sequoia throne or limb from limb those songs are beast!!!!!!!!! haha anyways I have tthe backing track for sequoia throne on my favorites it's just drums but there's one with bass

  • that was awsome!!!!!!! great job man but I notcied right off the bat that u had that diminished chord wrong , although u do u have the right fret number for your index finger, the middle finger and ring finger should each be moved up a fret

    so the chord fret should be 1st F:12,2nd F: 14, 3rd F:15

  • Hmm I'm in the mood for a review.

The few mistakes you did make are noticeable to the trained ear.. The track overpowered your guitar in a few instances, and it sounded to me like your transitions from tapping to power chords in a few spots were a little off.. Besides that, excellent cover, mate. Excellent. You've got skill; I look forward to viewing more of your work. Props.

    -SD

  • I'm with you on this one. But I give this guy major props, because not to many people can pull off Protest The Hero or at least try to fake pulling it off. This is pretty awesome.

  • Ahhh, just seen there was no sweep at the end. That would have made it perfect =P

  • That was pretty epic.

Tapping parts were spot on mate.

I've let to learn this the whole way through yet.

  • is this is standard half step down or drop d half step down?

  • i play it in half step down

  • dude, SICK video. nice black and white

  • how old are you?

  • ur missin the lead in the end chorus. ur playin the rhythm buy thats fine. sounds awesome. kick ass cover man!

  • That was simply awesome and great to watch.

  • ppl who comment on the lacking of this video.. Fuckk offf. you dont need to sound LIKE THEM. he sounded Greatttt !

  • Awsome cover(y)

  • you sir are a fucking BEAST.

  • This song is so Fun to play. :)

  • ur pritty good

  • great

  • you have amazing tone, what kind of amp head is that in the background?

  • Carvin V3

  • your hella good!! nice job

  • props bro

  • great job man

you should try to learn the sweep picking stuff luke does in the background

then the song will be perfect

  • that was a good cover!

only a few parts were off, but its not the easiest song to play either.

    kudos to you

  • skeek

  • you missed the sweep picking and teh sredding :'S i love that part :'S

  • Dude YOu kick ass

  • damn dude...I'm not knocking you at all...the last two days Ive dedicated to this song i can only play it like 75% speed...so props on being that clean at the insane speed....but you are playing both guitar leads...some parts only Tim plays like the first tap you do at about 1:40 that's Tim not Luke your probubly better at playing this song then they are lol...but llok up the bloodmeat instructional video by tim and luke..it will show what parts to play..but props dude..nice job indeed

    Every song you nailed.

  • Dude omg. That was the SICKEST cover i have EVER heard. I thought it was fake almost. But you skipping the end solo proved me otherwise, and the tapping is a nice flair, i dont think the song has tapping? not sure. That was still fuckin ace man!

  • hahahaha the song doesnt have tapping?

    your an idiot buddy

  • HAHA, THANKS PAL.

No dude, I seriously thought it didn't have tapping a little while ago. It's not like I watched other videos of this song dude. I did however realize that after i posted that. So I learned my lesson, think before you post, you could learn from that two.

  • can u plz tab thys dude??????????????

I'm sure you can find the tabs all over.
