  • the guy whistling is my favorite

  • 0:29

    Made me think of:

"bad news...the fog is getting thicker..."

    "...and Leon's getting la-a-arger!" ...

    lol

  • @kasteman1 Surely you can't be serious.

  • @Embraceofshadows i am and dont call me shirley!

  • The funniest bloopers are the ones that happen in the background like in 0:29.

  • @FLVSFANS When they do weather broadcasts, that map is actually a green screen and they are actuall looking at another monitor WITH the map on it to coordinate where they point and stuff. He saw himself shrink on the other monitor. When you watch the weather channel again and they are pointing at the map try to look where their eyes are looking. Their eyes are looking at a monitor.

  • 0:25 LOL

  • lol i used to hate the weather channel so much when i was a little kid! we used to have this substitute teacher in elementary school who used to put it on and make us watch it! arrgh!

  • dumb just plain dumb

  • lol at the dude who fell

  • i used to watch the weather channel all the time back in the 90s it was so much better well actually everything was better in the 90s

  • Luckily its the Weather Channel, and no one was watching

  • most of the them didnt even know they were back on the air

  • lmao "after that hook shot by bill schuber" & the last one

hilarious. TWC in the 90s was wonderful...i miss those days.

  • @sbhatt88 such a classy move by that reporter

  • 0:31 WIN

  • 0:36 that must have been Atlanta's WeatherStar 4000.

  • 0:27 This just in, folks, 100% Chance of Gravity! lol

  • Rofl Bill Schubert!! Ohio Valley! Represent!

  • 0:28 Fail

  • I love the guys that are singing along with the Local On The 8s music. That's too funny.

  • I miss the good old days -the original Weather Channel was wonderful -very personable and enjoyable to watch. Back in the 90's I used to watch it everyday. Now, hardly ever.

  • @Thoughtfulguy68 THe Weather Channel used to be my favorite channel on TV period. Part of what made me want to become a meteorologist was the Weather Channel. Nowadays...I have one thing to say. "What the heck happened to my favorite channel?" It's nothing but weather-themed sitcoms meant to entertain audiences. But all they do is bore the TWC's loyal fans/watchers to death. I used to be able to tuen the tv on and get the Local on the 8s. I don't even know when it's on anymore. *cries*T.T

  • @Thoughtfulguy68 Well, I don't watch mutch tv anymore because I don't have cable or satellite. I'm lucky if I get PBS, and that's saying something. Personally, I don't really mind the ultra-glossy-ness, but I do miss the old-fashioned Local on the 8s. It's really sad. TWC's really changed.

  • @Thoughtfulguy68 i know right like missing the ol' days

  • It's not that you miss the old days of TWC. That would suck if we still had those outdated maps. I think you're feeling nostalgic. The old layouts of the weather channel remind you of your childhood, taking you back to simpler times. - Jim Cantore

  • Comment removed

  • @Ibhenriksen Yes, I am nostalgic, and the old sets are antiques; but there was warmth and approachability to the old format. The new Weather Channel is glossy and attention hungry like CNN. I am unhappy that many of my favorite on-air personalities have been fired for some unknown reason, and I am especially disheartened by the termination of Dr. Heidi Cullen. Her dismissal discredited TWC as a balanced and fair source to relevant climate information to the public.

  • i loled at the very end omfg could not stop laughing

  • 0:25 lol my dad

  • really!?

  • The guy who falls out of the chair is Brad Edwards he is my dad

  • Why did your dad fall out of the chair? Was he feeling ill that day?

  • well, he got pwned. lol. He'll never live it down.

  • Wow...even the WEATHER channels aren't as good as they used to be...What the hell?

  • that is great!

  • 0:41 ROFL!!

  • I love Dave Schwartz.

  • I agree. TWC is not the same as it used to be. The new Weather Channel sucks in my opinion. I've been watching since 1988. I videotaped their first special entitled "Bringing Home the Weather" narrated by Dennis Smith.

  • To be honest, I liked the old music that they used for the local forecast. I'm not a big fan of the HD stuff. I just leave everything on mute and I only watch the local forecast (which is on mute of course).

  • "Let's go to Bruce Edwards..."

well at least he wasn't picking his nose

  • Was that Bill Keneely who fell out of the chair?

  • Anyone know the song on the local-forecast bit there?

  • Well aperently those two do. LOL

  • One 2 One by Brian Hughes

  • key word "used-to" be live

  • wow! ^^

  • Great clip! Watching TWC used to be fun, especially in the wee hours when Dave Schwartz or Sharon Resultan were on; they've since gotten rid of their best personalities and filled the airtime with "Storm Stories" or the Vortex2 stuff. They remodeled the studio which they continually have to pan around to show it off, but had to fire everbody worth watching to save enough money to pay for it. Give us the old studio back and rehire Dave, Sharon, Mark and Christina!

  • I couldn't agree with you more, so I'm going to keep rating this post +1 as many times as I can. I HATE the HD studio; to me, it was more interesting to see the off-camera meteorologists working in the background, and made it more personable and realistic.

  • to TWCBUFF--- i couldn't agree more. the weather channel is just not the same anymore with all the HD stuff.heck even the local forecast music is all wrong now I have even had to hit mute on my remote because of the music a few times.also dont get me started on the al roker stuff!!!!

  • @twcbuff I love the HD studio

  • 0:40 LOL

  • "Bap bada bap"

    "Mmm" Hahaha

  • @CreateCreateYours AAAAAAAHHAHAHAHAH

  • @CreateCreateYours That's the best one. Who couldn't help but be lulled into that by the soundtrack of The Local Forecast back in the day? Loved that it was Warren Madden and Dave Schwartz there at the desk.

  • xDDDDDDDDD

  • warren miller? ITS WARREN MADDEN!

  • 0:32 a great move with the body ^^ looks kinda like throwing a paper plane xD

  • i think i saw tom tucker lol

  • I actually enjoyed watching the weather channel 15 years ago...the smooth jazz background music...likeable mellow presenters...no STORM CHASER hysteria...now it's just a disaster!

  • -_-

  • I like how he's falling out of his chair as the voiceover is saying "accurate and dependable..."

  • How come you guys inserted the WS 3000 at 0:35 ???

btw thats neat how you guys had your own feed for the location of your studio

  • That was actually WS 4000. Not 3000 :)

  • my bad- I get the two confused :P

  • LMAO the entire time. This is great! XD!

  • what's the music at 0:35 ?

  • probably brainwash

  • One 2 One by Brian Hughes

  • @Intelliguy Unblock me.

  • Now, your local forecast. Accurate and dependable *fall*

  • that music is awesome. now if you don't want to here it just mute the sound.

don't want to start a flame war.

  • Don't curse

  • I LOL'd at :25

  • Same lmfao.

  • Y'all have way too much fun. LOL That's live TV and it's very entertaining! Five stars!

    *StormSpinner1* in Texas

  • "...after that hook shot by Bill..." hahahahhaa awesome

  • lol i love the dude falling out of the chair

    :P

btw i love the weather channel

even since i was 3 i always watched you guys

  • Gotta love the Madden and Schwartz bit at the end, lol.

  • Great shot of your WeatherSTAR 4000 unit. What month and year is that song from?

  • I'm assuming it's probably from sometime between 1993 and 1997.

  • STOP USING MY USER PETER!

  • TWC sure has changed!

  • I love the intro music to the local forecast!!

  • Hahaha! Great clips. Nice to see a shot of the WeatherStar 400 too!

  • It's not the WeatherStar 400, it's the 4000. Please be careful about that number there.

  • Yea. Just a typo. Sorry :)
