  • This is Ebert? OMG. The Groundhog looks better. And this was BEFORE cancer?

  • I love Ebert

  • We can see fatso, we can only imagine who takes his direction on long over movies

  • Ebert's always been a provoker and a bit of a loudmouth, and his comments about Dunn were certainly out of line, but if you've been a longtime reader of his like me and millions of others, you know that he has an intelligent, erudite, and sensitive mind. I'm certain he wasn't intending to cause the harm that he did. It's fine to take issue with him over it; he's a public figure, goes with the territory. But don't let it turn the man into the devil. There's too few reviewers of his caliber

  • It's a good film, I wanna see it!

  • I liked the movie and I agree with the reviews here, but it's so much more fun to see these guys trashing movies.

  • @projectrlady he did and then he still woke up on the same day.

  • @DarkProphet94 I agree....sadly to alot of kids here commenting...ebert is a easy target for them

  • @ryan49er1 One of these days they might be a lot more ill than Ebert, these things double back on people, like Siskel said in his review

  • They should have made sequels that I could compare to this film and be disappointed about.

  • OMG is Ebert ugly

  • They filmed this in Woodstock? Why didn't they film it in Punxsutawney? I know it's a real place! I checked!

  • @UglyoldFranny That's a hoot but you lifted it from someone else.

  • @UglyoldFranny STFU this was a great movie!

  • @MichaelLeroi

The twitter he made about Ryan Dunn inspired a wave of hatred from Dunn's fans.

  • @Thetruthmachine27 He did apologise for that. and to be fair, Ryan Dunn should not have been driving drunk.

  • Holy shit, what is with all the death wishes against Ebert all the sudden?

Yes he did make a very inappropriate comment at the wrong time, but he then went out an apologized for making it sound the way it did.

  • @combinownage

stupid fanboys on the internet are stupid :) ignore them

  • @combinownage If anything Dunn's fans should have appreciated his comment....it was just as irreverent and reckless as their hero with the clear death wish....apparently they can't take a joke

  • Ebert is an evil pile of crap, ready to die

  • @Br0adHead See if anyone does as you command, brillo head. Up all night alone trolling old shows. My God, is Ebert ugly!

  • @RottenJaws I agree! He obviously has no taste in movies having co written "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" so I wouldn't trust his opinion on this one. Aside from that, he was a fat ugly sleaze and is now deformed.

  • @gottfriedthegod -you are obviously a miserable bastard, who will likely die a slow and painful death.

  • Ebert is an evil pile of crap, ready to die

  • Great film! Thanks for this post.

  • I'm ready for my close up Mr. DeMIlle!

  • WAIT A MINUTE! WAIT A MINUTE! Are you all still angry about his review of "Knowing"? Stop treating Ebert like the devil. While I don't always agree with him, he is still entitled to his opinion.

  • Ebert's fans here are as outdated and tired as the deflated balloon himself . It's over guys. A dead body ready to fall into the grave!

  • The ebert freaks who have his cancerous dick in the ass are boring

  • I didn't want to give the impression Ebert wrote Groundhog, he couldn't. He wrote rip offs of porn such as "Beneath the Valley of the Vixens"

  • All Ebert's attempts at writing movies played to empty house and were cheap smut.

  • @TallBoyBlue Your info is incorrect, boy. He wrote flops such as "Valley of Vixens" and was involved in "Who Killed Bambi". If you consider Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (which played to empty houses) great, your tastelessness is on your lovers level.

  • @TallBoyBlue Your info boy is incorrect. He wrote all flops and laughable ones such as "Valley of Vixens" and was involved in "Who Killed Bambi". If you consider "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" anything but cheap smut, you are showing your taste standards. It played to mostly empty houses. As far as unconditional love, you have written to me before and you have that for your idol Ebert, who advises you. Fine, you could suck him for all I care. He is still an ugly blowhard

  • Who the fuck is this ugly Ebert to give thumbs up or thumbs down on any movie? He tried to write em and all were box office and critical failures, nothing but cheap sleaze. I can't believe any woman would marry this tub of shit even for money.

  • a hog and Roger Ebert, hum, so right for each other

  • Hey morons! Your bus is leaving!

  • @Zeushbien then get in the toilet under fat ebert so you can drink my pee

  • This is one of my favorite movies, murrays best imo.

  • Is it true jawless Ebert now mates with a Groundhog?

  • @bloboshitful Yeah, I've seen his wife!

  • Ebert is less handsome than the groundhog

  • I'm so glad Ebert is dying

  • @Dottiecurran You really should be ashamed of yourself.

  • @txmoney But I am not. Fuck your rotten idol

  • Ebert looks worse than the groundhog. This is a scream except Ebert can't any longer due to cancer

  • @TallBoyBlue don't even read you, snore. Hey, is this thing ebert male or female?

  • I pity anyone staying up all night to look at old shows and who needs the opinion of this ugly cancerous blob Ebert

  • oh my god, is this thing ebert male or female?

  • @TheDeeFormed Wow how bout you shut the fuck up and show some respect for one of the most well known and greatest movie critics of all time

  • @kfsfkakf duh, how about I don't?

Fatso is waiting for you to suck his cancerous dick. He always was a sleaze. Pity he can't speak now to tell you which movie to like

  • @TheDeeFormed What is the big deal? You may not like Ebert as a critic and that's fine but you really don't have to attack him as a person

  • @TheDeeFormed Hypocrisy.

  • @TheBitchinbabs "Get a life" says the guy who trolls on Siskel & Ebert videos every day. That's funny :D

  • The blizzard's gonna hit Altoona.......always does.

  • why is he telling the script, if u saw the movie u already know it and if you havent then its a spoiler, this guy is ridiculous!

  • EBERT=UGLY

    FANS=LOSERS

  • LOVE THIS FILM!

  • @TheBitchinbabs You leave a stupid comment then come back a week later and write the same thing again? You're the loser.

  • jaw dropping talk!

  • @JawMissing I love it.

  • ebert is really shit

  • Woodstock Illinois!! WOOOT! I like living here :)

  • Brilliant movie. One of my favorites. I own the thing.

  • Ebert is an ugly piece of shit and he failed at his attempts at sleaze screenplay writing.

  • @Dottiecurran does it feel good to hate?

  • Ebert isn't even human

  • They could have used Roger Ebert for the groundhog except it can't act.

  • where did you find these siskel and ebert segments?? did you record them when they were broadcasted??

  • lol he just sed "blizard" he play wow lol funy wow wasnt out yet lol

  • Gene Siskel was such a brilliant film critic. The greatest.

  • A time matrix plot, comedy and romance, that was pulled off wonderfully. Even people who say it sucks, still find themselves watching the movie from time to time on cable or whatever. Andie MacDowell is such a sweat heart on the screen, you just fall in love with her. She'll give ya that warm fuzzy feeling listening to her voice.

  • Awesome movie.Sad that Harold Ramis hasn't made a great comedy since then.He made another favorite of mine - National Lampoon's Vacation.

  • At the beginning, he is peeing.

  • Andie MacDowell starred in two of the best films of 1993, Short Cuts and Groundhog Day.

  • @1805902349 That is because it is more human that both of the films you mentioned. Ebert is correct, this film is very Capra-esque.

  • A friend asked me what I liked about this movie and for some reason I couldn't explain why I enjoy it...I just enjoy it

  • @asylumsquad yeah that does make sense.

  • Wait! In the beginning, was Ebert describing Bill Murray's character or his own?

  • All they need to do is make a sequel where the same thing happens and he meets Liz's brother from 30 Rock, that'll be amazing.

  • WOW! a movie that they actually liked

  • @Rustair666 Dude, they like tons of movies

  • I just saw this movie, and it was one of the best movies I have ever seen. It's funny, romantic, and you can really feel Murray's character's feeling of hopelessness. It's sooo great.

  • Classic funny movie. It is was put on the AFI film list about 4-5 years ago.

  • This movie's concept was, in fact, taken directly from a short film starring Kurtwood Smith, and in my view the conceit worked better in short form. I hated the sentimental ending of this movie, and preferred the more pessimistic surprise ending of the short. I won't give it away for those who haven't seen it.

  • I hate the film, I found it incrediablly annoying, boring, repeative, and not fun.

  • @Sleepingsparklegirl ur joking right?

  • @TheNewRiflemanBob No I really hated this film. It bored me.

  • @Sleepingsparklegirl This film made my top 5 favorite of all time. What movies do you like?

  • @Sleepingsparklegirl its not a movie for people with a short attention span

  • Groundhog Day is amazing. It's hilarious, heart felt, sad, intelligent, has great acting, repeat value, and it's even dark in some portions of the movie.

  • 2:33

It sounds like playing a difficult video game--you try over and over, fail over and over, until you figure out just the right thing to do.

But those aren't art, so who cares. :p

  • @MoonIMover Not a very bright comparison.

  • @johnd94

    I'd Buy That For A Dollar !

  • @johnd94 Why all the hate? FUCK FACE!!!

  • This is a great movie, I really liked the par....

Wait a second. Didnt I just leave this comment here yesterday?

  • I like your username. :D

  • This is a great fantasy time traveling film like Back to the Future. Having a Ghostbuster to direct it and antother Ghostbuster to star in it makes it a good comedy.

  • Sometimes, when you wanna piss off the universe, she goes bitch on your ass.

  • @M0VIES4U2 yep life is a bitch and she is in heat LOL

  • Such a hilarious, heart warming, underestimated film, the only bad part bout this movie is that it unfortunately ended Bill Murray's and Harold Ramis's friendship, over creative differences.

  • @moviehypno23 didn't know that that fucking sucks thank for post

  • "Tha'bout sums it up for me"

  • @villeppi hahahaha classic

  • This movie kicks ass. Bill Murray is god. It is so very original, so very clever, sad and sometimes dark (if you think about it, the suicides etc). Apparently Phil Connors was supposed to have been stuck in that loop for years and years aswell. It isn't a matter of weeks we're talking about. It has a brilliant message and tells it in such a fantastic way, Murray always keeping it from falling into overly sentimental territory. I watch it every February 2nd :)

  • Fabulous movie, one of my favorites.

  • It's a shame Gene Siskel died & Roger Ebert lost his voice...I guess the movie Gods fought back!

  • @jamezjamiezpro . and worst joke of the year goes to........ jamezjamiezpro. congratulations

  • @SparksDrinker ...and the biggest retard to point that out goes to...SparksDrinker. congratulations :)

  • @jamezjamiezpro . we both know your original comment was lame.

  • @SparksDrinker Yes & that is why I congratulated you over all the other people who watched this video to point that out...you have truly unlocked the secret to youtube commenting!

  • "What do you mean a blizzard? It's just a couple of flakes."

  • this is in my top ten of the 90s

  • I give this film a strong A-

  • This is a really good movie, but I made the mistake of watching it too many times and now it is boring. The irony.

  • I've seen this movie every few years since I was a kid. A great movie.

  • Watch "Groundhog Day" and "What Women Want" and you could learn exactly what women want.

  • I've seen this and Shawshank Redemption about 50 times... brilliantly executed movie and fun to watch even after many repeated viewings.

  • Great movie with an excellent script and interesting from beginning to end.

  • This movie was so good, I watched it twice.

  • This movie has alot of cool similarities to the "Inferno" by Dante. How he kinda goes through his own personal hell and eventually commits all of the deadly sins. The characters are symbolic, too. Bill Murray - Dante, Andie McDowell - Beatrice, and even Chris Elliot symbolizes Virgil. It's a really cool movie and it's one of the reasons I like it so much.

  • @ReaperOfRock Interesting take on it.

  • superb stuff from Murray & of course Ramis. So many memorable scenes it's hard to pick a favourite really.

  • Bill Murray's defining role and an absolutely faultless script. A modern day fairytale.

  • Bill Murray is the man.

  • One of my top 10. Fantastic in every way.

  • There are better movies....I mean... sure there are. Just can't come up with any right now. ;^)

Let's just face it it was such an original concept and so well made that it is in a class of it's own.

    5 thumbs up. ;^)

  • @PuppyZwolle Woodstock is about 30 min from me... I went there recently. It hasn't changed much. Great movie.

  • @PuppyZwolle Back to the Future?

  • @PuppyZwolle Source Code is what you're looking for.

  • @aquapendulum Oh yeah. That was an awesome movie experience. Not totally original but more originally filmed than 99% of what we have seen the last years.

  • excellent film - such a smart script and a superb performance by murray.

    warrants repeat viewings for sure.

  • "It's a dooooozy!"

  • Best comedy of the 90s!

  • excuse me?! It was a great comedy without question, but best of the 90's it is not. That title belongs to baseketball

  • cool

  • I saw this for the first time just the other day. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

  • This is a brilliant movie. One of my fav's! Thank you for posting these great reviews.
