APPUNTO CZIFFRA E' STATO DEPORTATO E TUTTI I PROBLEMI CHE HA AVUTO E COMUNQUE DIVENTATO UNA LEGGENDA DEL PIANO PENSATE SE AVESSE DEDICATO TEMPO PIENO AL PIANO.QUESTA RAPSODIA NON E' COME LE ALTRE CI SONO PESONE CHE LA INTERPRETANO IN MODO MECCANICO SENZA ABBELLIMENT E SENZA SENSO LITZ L AVREBBE SUONATA PROPRIO COSI' E SE CZIFFRA AVESSE VOLUTO L AVREBBE SUONATA IN MENO DI 8 MINUT.VISTO LE SUE ACCELERZIONI INCREDIBILI SU TRATT DIFFICILI DEL PEZZO? NESSUNO POTREBBE FARE MEGLIO CZIFFRA DIO DEL PIANO
Cziffra is Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsodies personified. This music is in his blood. Cziffra was a recreative genius at the piano. Music for him wasn't a museum piece fixed in stone. Liszt would have admired Cziffra's performance.
According to documents... one of Liszt´s best skills, was his excellent notion on time and tempo... He also was very loyal to his own scores, so... according to that I dont think he would have played it this way...
@loboris1995 i know it, but in my opinion is one of the best performances i've heard ever of this piece, i haven't said others like Horowitz or Gilels play it bad. I like Marc Andre Hamelin' s performance too.
je pense qu'on peut placer cziffra dans les nombreux timbrés de la musique classique, et de l'art en général. Il a un sacré culot n'empêche!!! Mais bon c'est quand même un génie!
When I hear or see any of his performances I hightly doubt he was human, a superhuman for sure. Its not like he is playing the piano, its like the piano is part of his body and he goes and plugs himself to it. He was out of this world.
Yeah, and this performation is extremely good, cuz the Composer is Hungarian, The feeling of the piece is Hungarian, and the artist is Hungarian Too...
Cziffra's later playing became quite eccentric. The recordings from the mid 50s and early 60s boggle the mind. He has no equal - for example his Grand Galop and Mazeppa. No one improvises like Cziffra either. If there ever was demonic playing, this is it. He has been my favorite Liszt player since I bought those Angel recordings in the early 60's. And now to see his live performances leaves one speechless. He was carrying stones after the Russians crushed the Hungarian uprising can you imagine.
I have great admiration for Cziffra's absolute, complete command of the keyboard. How can one man perform such a wide variety of the most complex compositions so perfectly and expertly?
He plays the most difficult passages so effortlessly without breaking sweat. Get Liszt and Chopin back to create music of even greater complexity to try to challenge the amazing dexterity of this man.
Thanks for sending this! it is indeed extraordinary performance! Cziffra had these hungarian rhapsodies in his blood and he plays them with enormous amount of musicality and whimsy. I LOVE the drastic changes in tempo and dynamics as they really fit into this music. Many purists would immediately bash this as an extreme example of disrespect towards the composers &his intentions but in reality this is ART IN ITS PUREST!!!

Completely delirius, a réinvention of the famous Rhapsody. Cziffra, and only him, could really give authentic life to these works.
