mariskarox, yes, he does change. In an online chat May 2001 he said he was single & not dating, wanted only friends, and 1 good friend was Jaime. Around 6 weeks later he proposed to her.

I also remember him saying: he noticed her tattoo right away when they met.

He used to say he remained friends with a few from Buffy after he left, but when Angel finished he said he wasn't friends with anyone from either show! "Maybe I went to Joss' house once"

I agree, she seems very grounded. I wouldn't say she's too good for him, I think they deserve each other. They obviously trust each other since as flirtatious as David might act sometimes, he knows that Jaime knows he loves her and she's not threatened at all. I'm a huge fan of Bones but I'm sick of people saying David and Emily should be together because of the onscreen chemistry. To suggest it, is in my opinion, extremely disrespectful and immature.
