  • A flying Elephant...!!!

  • Damn I would be so afraid to fly that fucking ocean liner with wings

  • ATTACK OF THE KILLER BIRDS......

  • How do you pronounce Volga Dnepr? I try to tell people about it but I can't say the name properly.

  • good place for a bird strike...

  • Antonov is Ukrainian bureau as far as know. Planes also assembled in Russia.

  • The Soviets knew how to make stuff BIG!

  • Massivly giganticly big...antanovs in general hahaha

  • Antonov 124 make in Ukraine

  • @MrXAYC It's made in Russia for the most part

  • I heard this one and the 225 could land easily on watter, is that true?

  • @Loudyest ...no. Just, no. Not hardly.

  • Russia has a tendency to make their cargo planes capable of converting to an airliner role. That's why it looks like that.

  • Its arrving again this Sunday the 6th! I hope it lands on 24L

  • the sky looks beautiful there!

  • LOOK AT THAT BIG ASS PLANE

  • Antonov 225 is greater to me

  • wait witch plane is bigger the c-5 galaxy or the an-124??

  • @1rich12396able An-124

  • thats crazy that something that big can fly

  • Sounds like a CRJ200.. :D

  • Instrument landing system does not equal IFR. I meant instrument landing system oops. Typo.

  • I'm sure they use the instrument landing system (IFR) like all the other big cargo planes or passenger jets. But both the 124 and 225 are also designed to land on unfinished (dirt ans snow) runways. I'm pretty sure they have to do visual landings st those strips.

  • I have worked with many aircraft and the 124 is the biggest I've seen so far! I would say I've been around the aiviation industry because of my job, the only one I haven't witnessed is an Antonov 225.....

    Its AWESOME!

  • Nice vid by the way. My uncle is a TSA at MSP. I live 4 miles from that airport. He calls me whenever one of these things lands there. I have yet to see one in person. Hopefully it'll fly over the house like all the other planes and I'll be able to see it some day.

  • The An-225 is the largest plane in the world. It's little brother (the An-124) is the second in terms of takeoff weight and overall size. The C-5 Galaxy is third. The A-380 comes in at fourth. The Spruse Goose had the longest wingspan of any plane but its fuselage is smaller than a 744, which is number five. So there it is.

  • whats that thing at 0:22 ???

is it used to indicate the glide slope or something?

  • @DedmonStudios No, it's just a lamp post for the highway that is near the airport.

  • @YULspotter huh,

that kinda an odd lamp post! lol

  • mave.foorumi.eu

  • @DedmonStudios

The glide slpe indicator will be next to the actual runway itself, and note some runways do not even have them.

  • @DedmonStudios speed camera?? LOL

  • Wait is that your backyard?

  • @Mystified012 No - my backyard is not near the airport.

  • Why the hell are there birds flying around? WTF.

  • Canada leases these to ferry its heavier vehicles to Afghanistan. A NATO member's Leopard II main battle tanks, in the cargo hold of an Antonov, being shipped to Afghanistan. History's full of ironies, I guess.

  • the AN-225 isnt even close to being the biggest plane ever, the spruce goose is the worlds biggest.

Ive seen an AN-124 land at Pease ANG base before,it needed to haul a huge printing press.

  • @1bearcatf8f The Spruce Goose may be bigger, but it has a flight-proven range not much farther than the Wright Flyer's.

  • @l3attlel2oyal True but still it was the only plane of its size then,Mayby if they did more testing it would have been used.

  • it is one shrek of a plane...

what I mean is, its really ugly looking from the front...

  • 0:29 near birdstrike

  • is it just me or does that thing look like a space shuttle?

  • fat lady !!

    thnx for the video

  • It's Ruslan :)

  • wow thats co cool, and its in montreal too! am i the only one worried by all those birds though?

  • I can't understand how Russia or Ukraine never made a passenger version of AN-225, they could earn lots of money with that!

  • @Corvusdotensis There isn't too many airports where the An-225 can land..

  • it is bigger

  • this is the Antonov AN-124 Ruslan

  • Now thats alot of wheels.

  • I haven't see it any more here.

  • Airbus A380 is the biggest plane ever .

  • @musicfan28 No, the Antonov AN225 Mriya is the biggest plane ever. :P

  • @musicfan28 the A380 is the biggest passengers plane not biggest plane the AN225 is the biggest plane but it is a cargo plane

  • @musicfan28 actually if you care to check out the article about this plane on wikipedia you would see the middle fuselage section of said airbus being swallowed up by the `Ant` hehe

  • is got a record cargo payload

  • that not the largedt antonov the bigest one is the 6 engine one.. dumpass

  • I wish I had of been there to see this arriving..very BIG & cool..

if ever you are aware in advance of something like this coming into Montreal, would love it if you could give me a heads up..thanks fellow montrealer. :-)

  • boeing 747 is bigger than that

  • No its not, This is the biggest plane in the world.

  • @Leeanmarjon no!

  • The Spruce Goose is bigger than this plane

  • hey! you leave the Dnepr alone!

  • Comment removed

  • @rutgersfan7 Spruce Goose is bigger only in wingspan and height. These are not good measures of a plane's size. The height comes from a big vertical fin/rudder. The 124 uses twin fins which divides the height of the structure into two units. Also, the Goose has a big wing because of the low speed of all aircraft of the day, and lack of understanding of high-life devices employed in modern aircraft wings. The Goose tops out at 400K lbs. The 747-400 weighs double that. All great airplanes, though.

  • i also saw one at calgary international a couple of months ago, i was amazed at how big they are in person, and im amazed i actually got to see one!

  • vodka burners >> lmfao

  • i mean>>AN 225

  • the AN-224 has 6 engines.. the largest airplane in the world..

  • this has 4 engines..,in ireland(shannon),sometimes I USED TO SEE WITH 6 ENGINES..Amazing

  • Hallo, the plane with 6 engines is no An-124 but An-225 :-)

  • its a 124, the 225 is much more bigger u can see the diference on the tail..

  • @bobnoxadrez its 124 as you can see it got 4 engines

  • was it the AN-225.

  • You're a lucky guy to catch an Antonov 124!!!

  • It sounds like a CRJ landing.

  • Dang man that's a monster in the sky LOL!!!

  • NOT REALLY !!

  • well to my opinion because that thing is huge you know what I Mean.

  • nice beast, but needs a touch of technology

  • But this guys are piloting a REAL plane, not a computer ;)

  • @KPNLFC They have to have help from a computer to land that plane

  • i just saw this beast take off from kelowna canada, largest airplane that ever been in the kelowna airport

  • I know i seen it too! damn thing set off car alarms!

    Thunder take off!

A friend of mine said he did get window rattle!

  • how come they cant make apartments out of these once they are shelved???

  • A woman made her home out of Boeing 747 parts..

  • a 747 with two cockpits?!?

  • yes much bigger!

  • what a pervetive

  • wow did you see how many wheels were on that thing, crazy

  • check out the an-225

  • An225 uses the same engine of 124

  • is that bigger than a Airbus A380?

  • No it isn't bigger. I believe the AN-225 is though.

  • @YULspotter this thing is big and yes the 225 is bigger than the A380, the an225 is the biggest plane in the world and the A380 is de biggeste Commercial airliner in the world

  • @YULspotter Actually, the Airbus uses this aircraft to carry the A380 fuselage to the assembly factory. This aircraft may not be longer than A380 but it sure is more wider in body.

  • @YULspotter An 225 is bigger than the A380.

  • @YULspotter Yea the AN-225 is bigger by little.

  • @mgrvercetti

Yep! Mriya is bigger. Saw it `s:

    An-124 (m):

    Height: 21,1

    Width (Wings): 73,3

    Lenght: 69,1

  • upload . wikimedia . org / wikipedia / commons / thumb / 5/ 52 /Giant _ planes _ comparison. svg / 429 px- Giant _ planes _ comparison. svg. png

  • @mgrvercetti actually when they first built the a380 or for the first few ones they actually loaded the mid part of the fusilage into the an-124. so it is bigger in terms of with and height

  • Seems quieter than the C-5 even though about matched for size.

  • remember, they modernized the C-5 Galaxy fleet. I heard one, and they are quieter. C-5M Galaxies are very quiet

  • Yeah. The CF-6 is a quieter engine. Still wouldn't stand next to one during those run-up tests.

  • haha me neither.

  • What a beast!

  • The An-225 makes the AN-124 look like a mouse in comparison!

  • hey you cheated. you went on the other side of the highway while i was watching planes form that stupid round-point with the billboard

  • damn birds :@

  • I flew on AN124...

  • Ha ha!! lol!! I liked that comment by HydroPT619. I guess any bird would say that if they saw that huge monster coming towards them.

  • yes flavor..it appears the plane is too slow....only because of the size....the first time i saw a C-5a galaxy landing in amarillo, tx....i swore it was crashing....it did not appear to be going fast enough to stay in the air and i was used to seeing b-52s all the time....it is just some kind of size vs. depth perception thing....scared the crap out of me first time i saw it.....

  • would you look at all those wheels!

  • I bet the bird got scared lol. "WTF is this ahhh turn turn turn"!

That plane is a huge beast btw. I wonder how they managed to make it fly... :P

  • 9,999 views? I guess I'm number 10,000.

Thanks again, YULspotter, for putting our

city of Montreal on the world aviation map.

  • Thanks. When I first starting posting my spotting videos on YouTube, I never imaged how popular they would become. Thanks for being the 10,000th view on this video.

  • wow nice bird

  • terrific airplane

  • fantastic video!

  • Russian manufactured engines sound so different...

  • Ivchenko-Progress D-18T

  • great video man!

  • why was this particular cargo flight landing at YUL if most of them land at Mirabel?

  • I'm don't know for sure but I was told that this AN-124 was delivering an aircraft part to a maintenance company that is located at YUL.

  • yes it whas plane engine it was for air canada

i saw tree antonov 124 that week

  • what a beast!

  • nice
