  • Ana the retarded Bimbo needs to STFU and serve TYT a better purpose by NOT coming out of the Kitchen! That moronic bimbo needs a good smack on her ass cheeks!

  • Only a REAL FOOL would claim there is no God! Man creates awesome skyscrapers, fake hearts, tunnels, vehicles etc.. If we are very imperfect then what more can God create THE UNIVERSE! You must accept Jesus Christ as your Savior to receive eternal rest in heaven! Simple! John 3:16 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him! Repent & accept Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ or HELL?!? Visit cbn. com

  • @tigersforchrist This is imortant man, this is about cancer, this is about saving lives, this is about an organisation saying No to 500 grand that could save lives just because some assholes could feel bad because of from where the money comes from (fuck them)... and you come here to preach and proselytize... do you realize that implicitly you are feeding on human misery and despair just to spread "the good news"? shame on you...

  • ._. *facedesk*

  • I think it's odd that Christians would donate to the American Cancer Society, what with the proven efficacy of prayer. HAHAHAHA.

  • It's probably as easy as a religious group threatening to pull out their larger donation...

  • America, you ain't right. Straighten yourself out!

  • GODDAMNED AMERICA FIX YOUR STUFF!!

  • Who BUT atheists would support the cancer society. Everything that brings you to whatever variety of heaven you believe in sooner can't be that bad, right?

  • Atheists r okay.....but them agnostics get on my nerves! "I dunno if there's a magical hippo in the room or not, and neither do you!"

Guys, agnostics are the real threat to America--a threat to logic. >>

  • Heh, I'm all for separation of church and state, but when can we get some of that separation of corporation and state? No corporatism!

  • What the f**k is this ridiculous debate? The girl is 2500% correct, the other guy, was he forced to defend a stupid argument?

  • This is terrifying. If you want to be a part of a particular religion then you are free to do so. Keep it within the private confines of you home and church and nobody will care. But the second that religion so much as threatens to affect the lives of others, and in this case threatens the put lives at risk, then you have opened up the floodgates of justifiable criticism and ridicule.

Religious people ask why atheists are so actively and vocally against religion... Un-fucking-believable.

  • Religion is bad, mm'kay?

  • Comment removed

  • Atheists are queer fags. They hate religion because religion does not approve of man on man sex. Atheists and queers are a MINORITY in America. After odumbo loses in November we can lose the pc bullshit and the MAJORITY will rule.

  • @Rwings73 So are scientists, a minority. BUt among them you hardly find any believers at all. And it's the scientists who cure cancer, who make computers, who improve all sorts of technology and things in society. So if they're "queers", then at least they are "queers" you owe a lot of gratitude to, really. Hehe. (This is from a non-queer atheist, by the way. : )

  • @Rwings73 Actually when you add up all atheists and homosexuals in the United States, you find that they outnumber any sect of Christianity except for Catholics. Atheists are the fastest growing "religious group" in the US. We're commin' for you.

  • @Phoboskomboa You will always be a minority here.

  • @Rwings73 oh yea, it just that simple for the simple.

  • They would rather see people die, then donate to the same cause as an atheist. Nuts be nuts religiuos or not.

  • christians stopping people from getting donations? So if you shut up a christian, you save a cancer patient. Lets just pretended the anti-jesus has come and christians will line up to be decapitated.

  • Not to sound cruel but donating money to cancer studies is worse then poker. In poker there is a chance to get some results. If you donate money to cancer studies you won't get any results and just to make it worse the people in charge of the money are ass holes. There your not alone America.

  • Imagine there's no countries

    It isn't hard to do

Nothing to kill or die for

    And no religion too

    Imagine all the people

    Living life in peace...

  • and other types of groups across the country that do not meet the criteria of the National Team Program. Our representative encouraged participation by the Foundation Beyond Belief at the community level, and offered to make introductions to local Relay events in communities wherever the Foundation has affiliates across the country. The Society has similar relationships with millions of individuals representing similar organizations nationwide.

  • The Foundation sought to participate in Relay For Life’s National Team Program, which is a program for corporate donors and supporters. The Foundation Beyond Belief is not a corporate entity, so our representative offered alternatives to the National Team Program that are consistent with the way in which Relay For Life works with other foundations, student groups, social and philosophical organizations, and ...

  • This is poor news reporting, getting the facts wrong, and causing bad PR for false information... READ ON...

The Society has not turned down the Foundation Beyond Belief’s generous donation offer and we definitely don’t want to discourage the group’s participation in Relay For Life. We are grateful for their interest in saving lives from cancer. In fact, we continue to discuss with this group ways in which we can work together.

  • Atheism is just another agrressive religion.

  • @kingofuganda no its not, its an aggressive push to get people to start using their fucking brains instead of relying on a book to tell them how to live.

  • @mattakudesu

I would call it a religion if someone feverently believes there is no god.

I would say something is a religion if it requires faith, thus including things like political theories, economic doctrines, etc

  • @bellatrixthechicken that would make most of life a religion, because as humans, we always hope for something. we always have a little bit of faith that things may get better.

  • @bellatrixthechicken you can't have religion without a scripture of myths, The lack of a god is precisely the reason atheism isn't a "religion" but a movement.. faith by any other word is investment, you invest in living for eternity.. I invest in knowing living forever would drive a person insane... go do more mock cannibalistic pagan rituals on sunday

  • @GreenPliskin

    Is buddhism a religion?

  • @chadro85

Buddhism is basically atheist at its core

  • @bellatrixthechicken meh, yeah i guess

  • @bellatrixthechicken maybe you confuse nontheistic with atheistic?

  • @masluxx a-theism is non-theism.

  • @doGoNsIylbaborPerehT atheism addresses religion and claims there is no God, while non-theism does not address religion. You do understand this simple diffrence no?

  • @masluxx It's all a matter of definitions.

There are gnostic and agnostic (non-gnostic) atheists.

An agnostic atheist does not believe in any god, but does not claim that the non-existence can be proven.

    Many atheists are agnostic atheists.

Any non-theist is an atheist. A non-theist might not be a gnostic atheist however.

Similarly there are gnostic and agnostic theists.

Therefore there's no point in introducing yet one more word "non-theist".

  • @doGoNsIylbaborPerehT My dog is nontheistic My dog is not an atheist. My dog is not denying the existence of a God, he just is removed from the subject matter. While the atheistic, do not believe God or Gods exist my dog has no concept of God to consider. My cup. My book, my car, my math, my science etc etc. etc are all nontheistic. As are all things not dealing with religion. Even Darwinism is nonthesitic, even though some derpy theist claim otherwise.

  • The definition of Atheism that you're using is not the one that almost all Atheists use. I am an Atheist because I have not been convinced that any gods exist. By that definition so is your car, your dog, your book etc.

There are very few people who would be so foolish as to claim that they can prove there are no Gods. It's an untenable position, so a definition of a word that relies on the position is useless.

  • @Phoboskomboa ok buddy, what is your definition of atheist? and then explain how that concept can relevant to my car ? Go ahead i am waiting?

    prex "A"= not.

    prefix "non"=absence of.

You do get the difference between the two...no/yes? Your choice here is to either claim to be dull(no), or be mistaken earlier(yes)....go ahead and pick, i care not either way. But i have a funny feeling you are nto one of the 1 in 10,000 on youtude that would ever admit to having made a mistake...

  • @masluxx You just explained it. Neither your car nor I am a theist. We're both Atheists. Not-theists.

We're also not-toothfairyist, not-bigfootist, and not-leprachuanist... strangely those questions don't appear on census forms.

The definition that I and you will find almost all atheists use is an atheist is someone who does not believe in any god. The car part was a bit tongue in cheek. You will find that not believing in gods is different from believing gods do not exist.

  • @Phoboskomboa ok your answer was a resounding no ah?..let try this, my car does not believe anything it is a nonbeliever. It can not believe there is no God/Gods (your definition) for it believes nothing. It can not be unsure if there are God(s) or not becuase it can not think, so it is not agnostic. It does not adress the issue of religion at all. Like my cup, my book, my math, my science etc etc etc. You see we come full circle, do you get it yet?

  • @bellatrixthechicken except if you listen to teh dalai lama, homosexuality is still an abomination.

buddhism is still a dogma, some just follow it more stringently than others, like christianity.

  • @bellatrixthechicken do buddhist worship words written by man? do they have a single man they all wish to emulate? is that fat godlike figure in temples made of gold buddha? then yes they're no different than christians worshipping christ in a church.. only difference being buddhist are about all life and all views, so some are buddhist plus another belief like islam or christianity.. it's not hard to get, "A" as in anti or absence... "theism" meaning religion.. put it together into atheism.

  • @GreenPliskin

North Koreans worship kim jong il with shrines to him in every house

Chinese people, while atheist, worshiped Mao. They read his little red book like their bible.

  • @kingofuganda Oh, you.

  • hey JR you dont belong there go back to your pc and play some cod

  • for all the christian sheeple you don't know about the world around, only what is in the bible.

  • christians go bahhh

  • @mrhav1k 0_0 Nice rebuttal lol. It is common knowledge that most of the founding fathers were not christians but rather deists. E.g. Thomas Paine wrote the "age of reason" and we all know of Jefferson's bible. Furthermore, "in god we trust" was added to coins much later as was the "one nation under god" added to the pledge. The constitution only mentions religion in the context of separating it from state. You're statement is clearly false and all you have in response is a threat.

  • everyone who isnt a christian should fuck off and die athiests are scum

  • @MrHav1k - Your trolling technique needs refinement.

  • @titovalasques

Your fag technique is what needs refinement.

  • @MrHav1k LOL!! Sure why not.

  • This country never ceases to amaze me with it's bigotry; fucking dumb ass right-wing Christians can go fuck themselves holy...

  • The religious people need a reason for existing, and so they claim they are the only ones who give to charities, or do other good deeds...

  • Well, it's not that christian or moral to reject the money from someone who wants to do a good thing... NO! YOU CAN'T BE A GOOD PERSON! YOU'RE AN ATHIEST, FOR GOD'S SAKE EVERYBODY KNOW ONLY CHRISTIANS CAN BRING GOOD TO PEOPLE!

    bullshit...

  • she big tits has

  • So the American Cancer Society cares more about the final destination of your eternal soul than they do about curing cancer. Maybe they should change their name.

  • @Helptheherd Christianity is for pedophiles

  • this is because religious people dont want atheists to do anything moral, because then that brings the no morality argumennt without god to an end

and its not just this story

anyone ever hear of pat tillman?

gave up millions to play in the NFL,to join the army and serve in afghanestan, where he gave his life for his country

and people barely know who he is

and heres the thing,he was an atheist

  • @coltsrule5150 atheism has nothing to do with morality- you are confused

    God bless

  • @Helptheherd then why do i get asked all the time "how can i have any morals without god?"

  • How pathetic...

Money that could have helped children, but they don't want it. What's more important, see a secular group on a list or fucking giving kids a chance to live?

The answer seems pretty obvious to me.

    Absolutly pathetic...

  • conservatives demonize atheists and liberals are too pussified to defend atheists...what a country !!

  • If any of these people believed in god why would they treat cancer? You never here of any christians telling any one I have pancreatic cancer I will be dead in a few weeks hallelujah. The god cult is made up of those who can not accept death.

  • If they were really concerned about their religion, they'd be praying for a cure instead of trying to collect money for a research. Stupid religious zealots.

  • @Tealy855 What a fucking dumb-ass with dumb-ass comments. Big Pharma wants you dead my ass you fucking idiot. Grow a same brain, your conspiracy theory is nonsense.

  • It would be funny if it wouldn't be so sad. I guess they think "god" is gonna save the cancer patients somehow so they dont need the money...*facepalm*

  • Damn those atheists trying to make the world a better place

  • If I were the American Cancer Society I would take money from Jerry Faldwell and the Church of Satan if it would help lead to a cure for cancer! In the end, it all spends the same.

  • Fuck, just give me the damn money to pay for MY medical bills.

  • Did i just watch a mormon ad before the video just by chance ?

Or they place it deliberately on this video? How? (paying of course)(money that can be donated to the cancer society).

  • This is what the CIA would call : BLOWBACK. Thank you Central "Intelligence" Agency for the perfect word to describe this epic failure on the part of the American Cancer Society.

  • All this "secular" morality was derived from our morality. You try to deny it, but its the truth. You people have no morality, you use ours!

  • @MrHav1k LMFAO. I hope you are trolling, because that is the most ignorant statement i have heard in a long time. Fun little fact, Christianity STOLE every aspect of their religion, from the dirty rotten pegans! It's fun how konwing history lets me easily stomp your statement into the ground. Fuckin mud hole bitch! You belong to a thieving, immoral, arrogant grp of ppl. Bye Bye.

  • @MrHav1k And by the way. I bet you are the type of person who says "without the bible and its moral teachings, ppl would just go out killing everyone!" Well, its good to know that because you dont have some ancient book telling you what is right and wrong, you would be a mass murderer. Good to know. Please dont stop believing, we dont need any more Bundy's, you delusional little person. Best of luck to you and your fanatical cult. :D

  • @MrHav1k You wouldnt know what the truth was if it threw you down, and shit on your face. Just had to add that little tidbit.

  • @MrHav1k wut

  • @MrHav1k I really hope you're trolling

  • Atheism = evil.

  • @MrHav1k in what way is atheism evil, and i'd like you to pick a reason other then it coming from the bible or your god

  • @The89001

He who believes in nothing has no morality and is held to no standard

  • @MrHav1k Yeah, because christards like you need a book to stop you fucking your sister

  • @Rockster969 Actually, incest is okay in the bible. Just read about Lot and his daughters. They had a real fun incest party, sanctioned by god, in that cave, right after their mother was turned to salt. But, of course, they are women. Evil, evil women who need to be punished for having a vagina and for men not being able to control themselves or take personal responsibility. Hey, what do you know, sounds like the Christians we have today huh lol.

  • @MrHav1k Ha. Wow. Let me expalin where our morals came from. LIFE EXPERIENCE. Thats why our "morals" change as we get older. The only people who stay static is you religious fucktards, because you refuse to replace old, outdated, and infactual data, with new, up to date data. You are stuck 2000 years int he past, while taking ALL the advantages of the Evil Athiest technology and medicine. Please, go play more callof dudty and leave the serious talks to the grown ups.Dead fish in barrel=you.

  • @DaBamBamMan

You done with your fucking novel there? Atheists are fucking retarded. America is a Christian nation, deal with it.

  • @MrHav1k America is a secular nation.

  • @TheBoredProle

    You wish! You delusional fucktard!

  • @MrHav1k I'd rather not argue with idiots with trollface thumbnails. Believe what you want to believe. Good day.

  • @TheBoredProle

Believe the truth over your unproven bullshit????

    OF COURSE!!!

  • @MrHav1k America is not a Christian nation. Read the constitution, brush up on our founders beliefs & intents Hell, just read the Treaty of Tripoli. We are NOT a Christian nation, deal with it.

  • @NerdySabbath it does seem like it seeing as every freaking president needs to be religious( pref christian)

  • @NerdySabbath Thank you for informing me about the Treaty of Tripoli. I knew it existed but I didnt think it was anything special, just another peace treaty. The article your referring to is pretty much a checkmate maneuver against anyone arguing that America was founded on christianity

  • @NerdySabbath DEAL WITH JEREMY LIN! HE'S THE REAL DEAL! GO KNICKS!

  • @NerdySabbath Then who is the "God" you trust in? like it says on the dollar bill. "In God we trust" or something like that

    Just curious...

  • @MrHav1k

Yeah, we're so retarded. An extreme majority of us are the ones who develop the tools to further humankind. The other group would just rather pray for results and wonder why nothing works when they do.

Sadly, America is a Christian nation... But don't worry, that will change over time.

  • @pmgodfrey America is not a christian nation, nor is it a scientifically efficient nation.

  • @MrHav1k "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion."- John Adams, The Treaty of Tripoli. Get educated.

  • @cookieyy

    The government? No.

The people, yet. WE THE PEOPLE make this a Christian nation, if you atheists don't like that, then GET THE FUCK OUT.

  • @MrHav1k Do you don't, the Bill of Rights grants everyone the freedom of religion so you can't be a Christian nation.

  • @cookieyy

    GTFO THEN

  • @MrHav1k Wow your to stupid to have a real debate. Maybe if you got rid of your imaginary friend you could let some facts get into your brain. One more thing your original comment said "Atheist =evil" even thought more wars have been started around religion then anything else.

  • @cookieyy

    Facts? Okay.

    FACT: ATHEISM IS RETARDED.

You have NEVER disproven God, nobody has or ever will, so to say you're an atheist is automatically admitting you're a dumbass.

  • @MrHav1k Give me one piece of evidence that god exist.

  • @cookieyy

Jesus died for ALL of our sins, yours and mine. That's all the proof you'll ever need. Accept salvation or not, its your choice, have a nice day

  • @MrHav1k That's not proof. The story of Jesus isn't original so it can't be used as evidence and that isn't scientific evidence, that's just something you were told by your priest. I bet you've never actually read the bible.

  • @cookieyy

Not original? What do you mean? People SAW HIM GET CRUCIFIED.

People SAW HIM PERFORM HIS MIRACLES...

Lol at atheists rejecting obvious physical proof.

  • @MrHav1k Actually everything the bible says about Jesus was written decades later, so no it's not proof. I want scientific proof.

  • @MrHav1k Also Allah, and Buddha, and Zeus and Krishna, and Mithras and ecc. ecc. ecc. ecc.

  • @FilosofiadiCazzeggio Good job.BUT ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS LIN, LIN, LIN! JEREMY LIN IS THE REAL DEAL!

  • @MrHav1k we "know" that cause its write in a book ... same as harry potter but the author just signed god on it ... this is your believe if you want to believe its your choice.-- btw jesus didnt make anything really impressive ... read carefully Matthew 2:1 he born in a house -- Luke 2:7 he born in a manger ... im sorry but only that make me think that the bible isnt accurate

  • @MrHav1k "America is a Christian nation" Care to offer any proof of that? Or are you going to go with the usual Christian strategy of "make shit up as you go along"??

    In the US Constitution

Number of times the word "God" appears: zero

Number of times the word "Creator" appears: zero

Number of times the word "Jesus" appears: zero

Number of times the word "Bible" appears: zero

Number of times the word "Church" appears: zero

    Care to fail again?

  • @xdassinx They made up shit in the first place, so why not make up more shit as they go along to back up their original bullshit. Well said.

  • @xdassinx This is true!!!

But the religious sect has hijacked!!!

This is why I think churches should be taxed!!!.

  • @xdassinx "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..."

-beginning of Article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli, unanimously ratified by the U.S. Senate of 1796 and signed by John Adams

"Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law."

-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10, 1814

  • @CarnegieFelon Sure, Thomas Jefferson, the same guy ranting about how slavery was wrong and how we need to adhere to the Constitution no matter what was the same guy that never freed his slaves and committed an unconstitutional act by going through with the Louisiana Purchase. Explain why the Ten Commandments were in almost every courthouse? Explain why the majority of people were religious? Exlain "...endowed by our Creator"

    Quit foolin' yourself.

  • @starbobpizza Thomas Jefferson supported rewriting the Constitution every 19 years. The Ten Commandments don't belong in courthouses and are put there by overzealous Christians. The Declaration of Independence was largely ignored for a long period of time after the American Revolution, as it was not intended as a legislative document. The First Amendment clearly states that American law should be secular: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..."

  • @CarnegieFelon Those "overzealous" Christians were the majority of the country's citizens when it was founded. "...nor prohibiting the exercise thereof" You seem to cherry-pick your statements, mate.

  • @starbobpizza I was not cherry-picking. I wanted to include the rest of the quote, but cut it short because I was over the character limit, and decided that part was irrelevant anyway. I am not arguing that the exercise of religion is illegal, but that America was founded on secularism. A majority of the country's citizens may have been Christian, but many of the original citizens also either emigrated from England to escape religious persecution or were descendants of people who (cont. 1/3)

  • @starbobpizza had, and understood the short-sightedness of establishing a country based on the principles of their own religion.

As far as having the Ten Commandments in courthouses, that is not really a relevant point, because only two of the ten are actually part of the law, and not because of Christianity, but because of common sense (don’t kill and don’t steal).

You also don’t seem to notice the irony in your response to my original post in which you tried to discredit (cont. 2/3)

  • @CarnegieFelon To say that the government should not use religion in establishing laws is one thing, but to say that the USA wasn't founded on a Judeo-Christian philosophy mixed with Greek values is quite another. Good sir, I hope you see the fallacy in your mindset and character. Good day!

  • @starbobpizza You have not offered a single piece of evidence to suggest that the USA was founded on Judeo-Christian philosophy. I have been able to refute every one of your arguments with solid historical evidence. You have resorted to poor debate techniques, such as attempting to sidetrack the argument and using faulty logic. Now you have resorted to a disguised personal attack by questioning my mindset and character. I have tired of your sophist debate techniques. Farewell.

  • @starbobpizza Character?!? Do you know this person? If not, there's a fallacy for you.

  • @TheAlvinealy Yeah, she and I used to love each other, but then she got a sex change and became a Republican. Try to avoid her, cuz' she's crazy!

  • @starbobpizza Exactly what would that be?

  • @MyContext Caffeine antagonizing your adenosine receptors, that's exactly what it is.

  • @starbobpizza So, poor attribution is simply a state of mind for you.... :(

  • @MyContext I'm your mom's state of my mind :D

  • @starbobpizza The spew of pure ignorance (good Christian, eh?). Maybe education will help...

If you wish to claim that the US was founded on Christian principles, one must assume that it is a truly barbaric belief given the actions taken against the natives as well as the numerous assaults against fellow Christians of differing denominations.

It was the assaults between Christian groups that was a basis for religion NOT being part of the constitution in an effort to preserve the peace.

  • Comment removed

  • @starbobpizza Incredible...another round of uneducated spew! Mormon religion started during the early 1800s, they are not part of the founding....LOL

  • @MyContext Remember, you can have the pot head mentality and still never smoke cannabis or even hear about it, just in the same way that people were acting like the sneaky Mormons when they executed those savages...It's all a conspiracy, man ~~

  • @starbobpizza "...you can have the pot head mentality and still never smoke cannabis..." well a point we can agree on! Was this an excuse for not thinking? Your comment about the Mormons does not follow...apparently they got their F*** notions from somewhere else... I am done.... Thank you (LOL) for sharing this fact:

"...you can have the pot head mentality and still never smoke cannabis..."

  • Comment removed

  • @MyContext It's no non-sequitur, you Irish bog bastard! The Mormons got their ideas from the savages...And thus, Jospeh Smith was born out of wedlock from the anus of Glenn Beck, and created an American religion. Well, at least it's American and not French. *Shivers* I couldn't imagine what would happen if the French conjured up their own religion. Oh wait, it's Rastafarianism...Meh, I guess I'm game for some Black Widow. What about you, mate? Are you a druggie? After reading your posts, well...

  • @starbobpizza To say it was not founded on Christian values would be to be in agreement with individuals like Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine, James Madison, etc. The philosophy had its roots in Greece. Were some of our founding fathers Christian? yes. The traditional Judeo-Christian philosophy of government at that time was the divine right of kings. That was what the founding fathers were oposing

  • @SephieRothe So you're saying that this country was founded on a judeo-christian philosophy -- not religion -- mixed with Greek values? Hm, sounds accurate.

  • @starbobpizza if by Judeo Christian you mean in opposition to Judeo Christian, then yes.

I assume your point is that you like to eat babies, as that is as accurate to what you were saying as your summary to what I said.

  • @SephieRothe Exactly my point, yes. I think my point was that neurtrinos aren't faster than light, but I could be wrong. Where am I? Am I Whitney Houston? If so, I need to listen to Nujabes to have my eyes opened as to what real music is.

  • @SephieRothe Continued... Also, screw Ron Paul 2012! Vote Kony 2012...Yeah

  • Comment removed

  • @starbobpizza Thomas Jefferson by calling him a hypocrite and then misquoted the Declaration of Independence in order to try to further your argument. (cont. 3/3)

  • @xdassinx "...endowed by our Creator" Care to make false claims again, good sir? Even Benjamin Franklin said that churches were useful for moral stability, even though he was caught also saying that churches were useless. The Founding Fathers were hypocritical, and even Thomas Jefferson never freed his slaves. The majority of people were in fact religious, but I do know that there should be a separation of church and state.

  • @starbobpizza You are quoting the The Declaration of Independence I expressly said the US Constitution. Which is the is the supreme law for these United States.

    The Declaration of Independence

    # of times "God" appears: once

    # of times "Creator" appears: once

    # of times "Jesus" appears: zero

    # of times "Bible" appears: zero

    # of times "Church" appears: zero

From the start this is a secular nation. I never said people didn't go to church.

Go read the Treaty of Tripoli 1797 Art. 11

  • @xdassinx The people make the country. If the majority goes to church, then it's a religious based society. Alexander Hamilton ftw!

  • @starbobpizza The proper polite response should have been "Sorry Dassin you were right, God isn't mentioned in the Constitution"

You're misrepresenting Hamilton. He discussed majority rule in The Federalist but that was for votes in congress.

You ignore the fact that an over whelming majority of Christians in America are for the separation of church and state in spite of their religious association.

Again, go read the Go read the Treaty of Tripoli 1797 Art.11. It ends the debate

  • @xdassinx Please, Wheeler, you don't even know what the debate is! When did I say that religion and state shouldn't be separate? I believe I was arguing that it's a Christian nation due to what the majority believed, not what a few hypocrites said. But yes, I would hate to have a Mormon Republican nelly push his religious views on society. I would rather have an Irish bog bastard be the president!

  • @starbobpizza Look, you're the one that tried to call me out on the Constitution by quoting the Declaration of Independence. Epic Fail on your part.

    Treaty of Tripoli 1797

    Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion;

That was printed in in all the major papers including Ben Frankin's with no public out cry.

It was read before the entire congress before it was ratified by unanimous roll call vote.

  • @starbobpizza Learn a little about history and you'll figure out that Franklin was not hypocritical about religion. He, as well as the other founding fathers, felt that Christianity was solid enough and flexible enough in the hands of educated white men to adapt and essentially govern the country (decide and act). The government is set up for this to perpetuate, and it does. Unlucky for us, they couldn't know how the world would change, in both knowledge and tech, and were wrong.

  • @cemarz All of the Founding Fathers were hypocritical in their statements to appeal to different audiences. Just read up on your history and you will see that.
