The reason why evos make these "1000+ AWHP" is because they use an iron closed deck block which apparently doesnt come for the sti. even though you can make it closed deck and even sleeve theyre still aluminum. less rigidity - more risk for putting down big powers. though better heat transfer.

believe it or not there are a few 1000+ HP subie. Big valley im sure has one. they are a central america team. ESX has a few.they have a 6sec drag 04-05 STi along with a road car that running with the Vipers and skylines in the long beach grand prix.ESX also has a 1000hp AUTO track car. TRP has a 1000bhp(H6) 97-00 RWD impreza. There rare but there out there.

Extreme Tuners from Greece is still making more power from it; it is awesome, and the figures are not based on advertising fluff like 99% of the other high hp Subaru builds.
